She was very professional, prompt and quick to return calls and texts. We laid out all the dog stuff on the kitchen island with instructions for each of the "fur kids" and off we went. When we returned everything was neat and orderly. We forgot to let her know where/what to do with full poop bags but she was thoughtful enough to grab a kitchen trash bag to stash them next to the garage door. When she came back to return the keys and receive payment the dogs were SO happy to see her. I can tell she loves animals and they love her. I highly recommend her! Outstanding service and A+ communication…read more About a year and a half ago, we realized we were going to need a professional service to take care of our aging mixed breed, Honey (lab/ridgeback/mutt), when the neighbors' teen who'd been doing it was headed off to college. After meeting with a few service providers, felt a trust with Celeste that she'd take care of Honey like her own. While the price is more than the kid next door charges, it's been well worth it, as Honey actually gets exercise via walks, and attentive care. For instance, one time this summer, when Celeste found her semiconscious from a virus, she took her to our vet and called us from the road to let us know. That says a lot about the kind of proactive care they give. In addition, TLC and Celeste have been great, including special trips by the house when we've worked late or gone to dinner with friends, weekend trips/stayovers, you name it. In the end, a great decision that we're still happy with to this day.

Like Elana, we are former clients of Unleashed and stuck with it for a few years. It was fine at…read morefirst, but as it's grown, it's degenerated so much that we no longer feel comfortable leaving our pup there. The space smells horrible -- like urine and bleach -- and dogs in the facility always sound horribly sad. (We've been to numerous doggie daycares in a great many years of being owned by three successive dogs. They don't always sound or smell this unpleasant.) You receive no information about your dog's day unless you sign up for that "perk" for an additional surcharge. (This really rubs us the wrong way!!) They pep your dog up at pickup by giving them a biscuit right before they open that last door, but I have my doubts about whether or not our little girl has actually had an enjoyable day. She always needs to relieve herself as soon as we pick her up, which means that the daycare is not giving her enough opportunities to go during her time there. She is exhausted, not as a result of good physical activity, but because she hasn't been able to sleep or rest during the day. Prices keep increasing and are now higher than many doggie daycares in NYC (where rent is, I'm quite sure, much more expensive). We've met some pleasant employees (including our favorite, a woman who claims she doesn't like people, but is actually quite kind). But I have to concur with Elana that some are just unhappy, rude, and strangely power trippy. Luckily, we've found great sitters and walkers through Rover and some wonderful neighbors. Fingers crossed that we never have to use Unleashed again.

At first Unleashed was ok only because it was close to my home so it was very easy for me to drop her off when I needed to. The part owner Jasmine is extremely rude and has absolutely no personalty, she will only treat you nice on the first day then after that, don't ever expect a hi or any mannerism, I also had a bad experience with one of the staff members I believe her name was Natasha extremely rude and disrespectful, I would come in and always say hey good morning or good afternoon and her response was always half day or full day never no hi or good morning or good afternoon very odd customer service especially when leaving your dog whom is like family, I found myself feeling unsafe leaving my dog there and constantly looking at the cameras, I felt if they can be so rude to me how are they going to treat my dog. I ended up having a dispute with Natasha at one point because I was extremely frustrated with the lack of hospitality. I then called Jasmine the part owner and got the most oddest response from her. She literally told me that she can train her staff till she's blue in the face and it doesn't matter because there gonna do what they want and then followed up with saying she can walk a horse to a river but can't make it drink it. I said WoW I'm done! if you can't control your staff then what kind of business are you running. I feel really bad because the male part owner David actually called me to apologize and offered to help out and also talk to his staff on manners but unfortunately it was too late for me, I will never bring my dog there. The place always smells like dog urine, looks dirty and the staff is constantly on there phones no interactions with the dogs and would stop the dogs from playing by spraying them with water bottles, which is odd, since most people are paying for there dogs to interact with other dogs, I know thats why I take my dog there. All this was witness by me from the cameras. I ended up doing my research and found WAGS in Danbury, OMG upon arriving, the place was so CLEAN AND FRESH and I was greeted with manners and such amazing hospitality. They have over 15 rooms for the dogs to play in both inside and out. There price was cheaper then unleashed and they even offer snacks for FREE! the place and people were amazing. If I can give them 10 Stars I would! nothing compare to Unleashed, which between the untrained staff and cleanliness, they get 0 Stars. My dog doesn't know if a place or staff is good, all she knows is having fun with other dogs, so in that aspect she would love to go to unleashed. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH! THERE ARE WAAAAAY BETTER ESTABLISHMENTS TO TAKE YOUR DOG then Unleashed! Not worth it and my dog would come home smelling really bad every single time!

Highway Animal Hospital operates with an appalling deficit of clinical competence, ethical…read moreaccountability, and basic professional respect. I scheduled an appointment five weeks in advance to address a concerning growth on my dog, Ranger--an urgent medical worry that forced me to travel from Milford to Fairfield due to regional veterinary bottlenecks. What followed was a masterclass in administrative negligence and institutional disregard. I arrived promptly at 10:45 AM for an 11:00 AM appointment. After forty-five minutes of complete silence in a cramped, dismally uncomfortable waiting room, an assistant finally emerged at 11:35 AM. Rather than focusing on the medical issue at hand, her immediate instinct was to aggressively pitch an unnecessary rabies booster. Pushing a medical procedure on a first-time patient without consulting his history--especially when Ranger is not due for that vaccination until 2027--was transparently predatory and clinically irresponsible. Under the pretext that Ranger was being brought back for an impending examination, your staff took custody of him. That representation was fraudulent. For well over an hour, an already anxious dog was abandoned in a kennel while your front desk casually accepted food deliveries, entirely indifferent to a room full of waiting patrons. Not a single staff member offered an update, an explanation, or a routine courtesy. When I finally demanded a status report at 12:45 PM, I was informed that a veterinarian had not even laid eyes on my dog. Confining a distressed animal in a back room for over an hour without medical attention is grossly unacceptable. When I instructed the front desk to return Ranger immediately so we could leave, staff had the audacity to attempt to stall with dismissive promises of "five more minutes." Ranger was brought out hyperventilating and visibly traumatized by an ordeal entirely manufactured by your incompetence. The follow-up phone call thirty minutes later, vaguely citing an "accident," only deepened the insult. If an emergency compromised your schedule, professional standards dictate informing clients immediately so they can make informed choices about their time and their pets' welfare. You do not hold an animal in a cage under false pretenses while keeping the owner in the dark. Dr. Erin Fleming and Dr. Ashley Miller: your leadership is directly responsible for this dysfunctional operation. Because you treated my time as worthless, I am issuing a formal invoice to both of you for the three hours stolen from me, payable upon receipt. In the likely event that you default, that debt will be transferred to a collections agency and pursued through small claims court in Milford. You run an operation defined by blatant contempt for the clients who fund your salaries and a shameful lack of consideration for the animals entrusted to your care.
