Bought a compressor on eBay and Ron installed it in June 2013. No problems, fair price, and fast service (plus a few good jokes).

The process was incredibly fast and professional! Jacob and his son arrived on time. Jacob (owner) knows his s##t. They listened to our requests and investigated inside / outside with game plan. They discussed cleared what was / was not possible. They delivered a quote on site - a huge savings in time. We continued getting other quotes most were higher by as much as 2x. Jacob followed up with us after a week and we awarded the job. They started within a few days with a staff who were true professionals (Juan and Anthony) knew the trade and quality was paramount. They kept us updated all the way. They were interrupted by a 6ft snow storm and when possible came back to finish. They kept us informed all the time. We were so so so impressed. They finished when the snowed subsided and made sure we completely understood how to work, maintain and what to do if the unlikely event of an issue to do. We without question recommend Performance Based Heating and Air.

Just weird. Oh well. Response to Jacobs comments Jacob, you looked at project for 3 min before you told me it would be a nightmare and refuse even provide opinion as you just did on Yelp and explain why and have a conversation. The responses as followed: the ceiling cassette I told you I want to install parallel to the window, which is recommended location and if would blow air to the whole room, not even sure where you got this idea in will blow into wall and suck its own air. The heat pump I want to put next to the already installed HVAC condenser coil and it has plenty of room, recommended 4ft from each other, no snow there in this area so not sure where this idea came that it wouldn't heat, and heat pump doesn't work that way anyhow. The second unit connection to meet Mitsubishi recommendation for a min 2 units connection, I told you I am planning to build two more rooms there and second unit can be run to that area and placed there so later can be permanently moved in the new room. Again, you didn't even took time to look all, talk, to listen and to explain.

There is another company…read morewith the same name, NOT located in Pioneer, often times causing confusion & resulting in reviews being left on the wrong site, for the mistaken business. Let It Be Known: the folks at this company are Professionals! They return calls; show up as scheduled (on time) & do fantastic work! Additionally, they are all so very easy to work with & just genuinely nice people! Whether Jason, owner; Lynn, receptionist; or Logan & Jimmy, installers/crew...I assure you, they are all are great! Just for the record, I do not know any of them personally or outside of the business & I'm not being compensated to write this review. It's my personal experience & honest opinion. Now, about the product... We had a Fujitsu split unit installed in our home 2yrs ago. Jason recommended the location for install to best heat our home & he was right on the money! Recently, we called to have the unit serviced, which they did. At that time, we decided upon having an additional, deep clean, which they came back today & completed. The unit looks & works like it's brand new! I cannot say enough about the professionalism of the people of this company & the quality of both their work & products. In summary, they're nothing short of Superb! Thank you, all of you, at *Pioneer's* Alpine Air Conditioning & Heating! You're the Best!

Alpine Air installed a minisplit system in our new home, including an outside condenser and two…read morehead units. They did such a poor job that we ended up having to have it redone by a different company a year later. The condensate line PVC installed in the walls was muddy. It looked like it had been lying around in their yard. My husband replaced it with new PVC. Jason drilled random holes in our studs, then realized they were in the wrong place and redrilled. So now our studs that are supposed to support the house look like swiss cheese. He used the wrong size connection to the condenser line. He used electrical fittings to connect the split unit to the condensate line, not fittings that are meant for water. This is a huge leak risk inside a wall. He used a 3/4" roofing nail to attach the condenser to the concrete pad. We're in a very windy area and the whole thing could have easily blown over. There were greasy fingerprints all over the wall and several fins were crushed during the install. We had it cleaned by another local company and they tried their best to straighten out the fins but there was only so much they could do. The unit was also mounted too close to the side wall than installation instructions say, so that it was difficult to work on when we had a third company out to fix all the problems from Alpine's install. Everyone says go to Alpine. Maybe they had a different experience or maybe they're just not as picky about the details of the install. But Alpine is the one contractor in the area that I would never call again if my life depended on it.

I called last week because we had a mini-split installed (DIY) and needed a technician to come out,…read moretest the lines, check the electrical and turn on the unit to test it. When I called, I was treated very nicely on the phone and was able to schedule an appointment within 48 hours. Diagostic appointments are $89 during the week and $149 on Saturday. Our technician, Wes, was very professional, on time and easy to talk to. He came out and checked the unit (we needed a different fuse) and turned the unit on and got it running. I was very happy with the service from the ladies in the office to Wes our technician. Just a heads up, they have a monthly maintenance plan ($12.95 a month) that they will try and sell you. It includes an annual check of your A/C unit and of your heater. Any additional work or service calls are then 20% off. Just an FYI, if it is a good deal for you, then I would suggest getting it, if not, they will still service you. Thank you Honey's for making our experience a Sweet One!

Walk down what they will be doing and always listens to our concerns as well. Today we got to meet Lorenzo, the tech that will be servicing us today. Just wow, what a nice guy and thorough as well cleaned our unit like his own. He also showed us some before and after pics. He also made a suggestion when he found out I had bad allergies and saw the 3 air purifiers throughout the house. lol. He recommended us to get the unit that plugs into out HVAC unit. So far I'm impressed of the install and can wait to see if it makes a difference, it should and kill any bacteria as well. Anyways I hope this review helps, tell them yelp sent you!!
