I have dealt with local contractors on two property remodels for some time. I have never had an issue until now. I was quoted 1,200.00 for a mini split install which I agreed to. Upon completion I was texted by the owner for an increase of 300.00 It was more of a demand unprofessional text. I was thrown off by the aggressive text but in the spirit of being non combative agreed to pay the 1,500.00 Not even a half hour later I was given an invoice for almost 1,700.00. When I questioned it I was told I was a crybaby and that if I didn't pay it they would come strip everything off my property. I explained I would send him a check as we agreed and he has been texting me threatening messages all night. I'm not sure if he is drunk or high? I would consider looking elsewhere if I was you. read more

Think twice before contacting Absolute Mechanical. They were recommended to me by my neighbor who had a good experience. My initial conversation with Randy was pleasant and productive. He told me to send some photos and my email address to get a ballpark estimate. I sent over the photos, then waited a few days for a response. Crickets. I called again and left a follow up voicemail. More crickets. After another few days, I tried calling again and this time I got one of those automated messages saying that my phone number had been blocked by the recipient. Totally unprofessional and cowardly. If Absolute Mechanical did not want my business, they could have simply told me that my job was not a good fit for them. Period. I do some of my own maintenance on my unit, but when it started blowing hot air instead of cold, I was in over my head. I called the same number I had from all those years ago, and Randy answered. He said he was booked solid for the next 2 days, and he would call me back. My luck, he was able to come over the same day after all, and had us up and running in less than 30 minutes. He not only fixed the problem, but his guys had my unit cleaned and looking new before they left. I was expecting an emergency fee, and a steep bill, but Randy was very fair. I called Randy early on a Saturday morning as my central heating unit had been acting up. I described the issues I had over the phone, and he was able to give me an idea of what my problem likely was, and guided me on how I could nurse my heater through the rest of the weekend, The phone conversation gave me plenty of time to work in a day off from work, and Randy accommodated my schedule. He must have spent two hours here, just talking to me and explaining things, going over my unit with a fine tooth comb, while snow fell. He really helped me understand what the problems are, how old my unit is and how inefficient it's been, pulling 22 amps where newer units pull 8...etc. But he didn't pitch a whole new unit. Instead he charged the unit and got the coils to stop freezing over. It's now working beautifully, house is cozy warm, the wife is happy, and my checkbook barely felt the dent as he only charged for a one hour service call. Randy is my guy from now on. As a tradesman my self, I can really tell he knows his trade inside and out. read more

Terrible customer service. Very rude person who installed my ductless a/c heater units in my house. They both stopped working a few days after a year of installing them. I tried calling them at least 20 times and finally Ethan called me back. He said he would order the part and call me next week. Never heard from him again. I finally went to his business, his house, and he was extremely rude. Just stared at my for a long time and finally said he can't help me. Does not honor his work, I don't recommend him at all. Find somebody else like I had to do. It was under warranty also! read more

We had our air conditioner go out the week it was 106. The house was over 80 degrees all night and into the morning. The dogs were starting to look unwell and were throwing up. The other guy said he'd be there at a certain time, never showed up, didn't even call and wouldn't return our call when we called to find out what happened. Finally found Randy on the internet. This company installed my central heating and air in November 2016. They installed the A/C incorrectly, the condensation pan over filled and caused sheet rock damage in 2 places. When I called them to fix it they came out and did so. Never offered to fix the sheet rock, even though it was absolutely their mistake. Now a few months later my heater has stopped working. It happened on a Saturday morning. I called and left a message, understanding that they were likely closed being a weekend. Well, no return call Monday, so Tuesday morning I call again. Finally got a call back (because they don't answer their own phones....ever), they use a service. Tuesday when they called back Randy tells me they no longer do residential service (because they are just too busy with Thur commercial customers, but they will take care of me since they installed the unit. I explained the problem, he says it just so happens that we will be right near me "today", we'll be by sometime today to check it out for you. That was a week ago, never showed up and I have left MULTIPLE messages since then. I have an infant in my home, which I told him. They CLEARLY DO NOT CARE! We've had some nights in the 30's. Hope they sleep well at night. I'm gonna share my experience about them far and wide, if you aren't commercial they don't want your business. Hope they remember that when the commercial part of it slows down....this place doesn't want to help home owners. They only want to line their own pocketbooks. Funny thing is, may or may not be warranty work (and I'm more than willing to pay them) and they are simply not calling back and in doing so, refuse to stand behind their own work (if it is warrant) and clearly my money is t good enough if it isn't warranty.
