Typically, I shy away from these types of vendors as, like many, I have walked away less than impressed and now I do not want to waste my time. On this day I figured, why not? If it was bad, I could easily walk over and get street tacos that were being served and wash it all away. I am very happy I decided to try their product. At first taste I was instantly pleased. The flavor was smooth, full of life and had a light feeling not typical of a smoothie. I was pleasantly surprised and braced myself for a displeasing aftertaste. Well, that didn't arrive. Again, a smooth and refreshing surprise. After trying more, I had settled with the reality the smoothie was delicious in every way. The employee was kind enough to offer a flyer and detail the products plant-based health benefits. He offered an additional sample which I took home to share with my family. Each member, even my hyper=critical children, thoroughly enjoyed the flavor and gave an overall rating of A+. I agree! The product is amazing, and the benefits are undeniable. I have since sampled other items they offer, all equally as pleasing! If you are fortunate enough to have the opportunity, I encourage you to try any of their meals. I cannot for-see any customer being less than 100% satisfied with what they offer.

But as a…read moremiddle schooler, the idea of of leaving America and being in, what's essentially, a small town, surrounded by foreign culture and people at a young age, I felt pretty alone and left to figure it out. That's when Dragon Ball and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles shaped my resilience to overcome adversity. My choice of foods was heavily influenced by my choice of entertainment. Japanese foods was all the rage, Ramen and Gyoza, to this day, everything tastes like store bought. But that not what I am reviewing. There was a place I could go to for school lunch and snack before riding a bus to the separate Base for American families that forever shaped my love for pizza! I freaking LOVE pizza! And at this place, they had a Hamburger Pizza that would disappear just as soon as it's delivered. So, whenever my brother and I would order one, we would quickly grab two slices and make a sandwich. Or what modern society would have you call, "Calzone." Only way to make sure I could get at least 4 slices I've been reviewing pizza places that were not well known in my neighborhood, and stumbled upon an establishment that specifically makes Calzones. In my head, I thought, get the H-E-double hockey sticks out of here! That's quite a claim when someone says they are a specialist. That means, at the very least, exceeding expectations is average for the specialist. So... yeuah, I tried it. Let me start by saying I had it delivered. When someone says the ingredients are fresh and you can taste the harmony of the intentions of chef's menu in what they serve. From my understanding, this means your first bite separates the ingredients and then mingles and joins together to heighten a new flavor. Did Calzone Life achieve this? I would say they were pretty close, but what made them worth a second try, was there evenly cooked end results that had the amazing crunch with creamy smooth filling topped with (bread crumbs sprinkles, I am not sure but what the H-E-double hockey sticks in a good way!) You can tell each Calzone is prepared with care and they want you to love it and grow to want it. My ordered was delivered quickly, but to my disappointment, the food was hot and ready, but so was my KitKat ice cream. LoL. That was poorly thought out in terms of delivery. Maybe a bag or something that blocks heat and keeps cold in? I loved that I didn't have to request Parmesan sprinkles and red pepper flakes. But the food, decent enough, I actually ended up forgetting to use them. Overall, Calzone Life knows how to make a pizza pie. ANnnnnnd... if you order for delivery, it's pretty darn good, plus who wouldn't get won over with Ice Cream delivery. The pepperoni and 3-4 cheeses were really good and the pesto dipping sauce. Paired together the sauce wins. So, little dips instead of the Michael Jordan slam dunk method, so, the food doesn't just taste like the sauce. Thanks for the nostalgic childhood memory reminder. Calzone Life brought me back, so, all kinds of appreciation for a good dinner and breakfast.

I thought it was definitely worth it until these guys blew it in the customer service department. I was spending roughly $ 1200 per month consistently. Now if you had a business relationship with a customer where you are making that profit consistently wouldn't you want to provide good customer service if the customer had one complaint in 6 months? Also keep in mind that your meal prep delivery business is loaded with competition. So what was my complaint? Well I left town and decided to put the delivery on hold for a week. Someone screwed up on their end and they still delivered. Not only did the delivered food sit and rot on my front porch for a week, but they made a 2nd delivery on day 7 so there were 2 weeks worth of meal preps when I got home on day 8. When I got home I called them and told them what happened and asked them why they did not pickup the food when they arrived 7 days later if they still had me on schedule? They said they have no record of me putting it on hold to begin with. And that all they do is deliver and pickup empty bags!! Lmfao. So I said what the hell do you do? Just deliver food and collect money with no concern for your customer's well being since you notice rotting food and do not say or do amything sbout it? They still refused to give me a refund and they lost my business forever.

FRESH FARM EGGS!!! (5 stars + meteor shower + starlinks)…read more Pasteurized eggs are the best quality. But pasture raised + fresh farm eggs; Hens that roam freely and forage, even better quality! Did you know... fresh farm eggs can sit on the counter (unrefrigerated) for up to 14 days IF the eggs have yet been refrigerated. And they are SO good. Obviously, refrigerate if they won't be consumed within the 14 days but once refrigerated they must stay refrigerated . When buying at the booth, they have not been refrigerated. Current price: $8 for 1 dozen. Expensive but quality and freshness is priceless. If you haven't had fresh farm eggs or don't know the difference, you need to refine that pallet of yours because you are missing out. Fresh as in unwashed!!! I've gone "country" in this beach city! Many times I have considered taking the drive to Ramona to the farms to hunt for some fresh eggs for my baked goods, breakfasts, and my fresh pasta noodle making. Especially when it comes to making my fresh pasta noodles from scratch I want the freshest eggs possible. Well, you don't need to drive to the farms. Their tent is available at some of the farmers markets around the county. If you see their tent, don't pass them up! Well worth $8. Some of the other food vendors at the farmers markets use their eggs as well. I had a "breakfast bowl" and they were frying up fresh eggs from Three Sons Farm. The taste of fresh eggs... I can't find the right words that deserve their compliments. Has a fresh and clean taste to them. The yolk doesn't have a harsh "yolks-ness" taste, it's lighter and creamier - if that makes sense?! The difference is in the yolk. I will take creamier over store bought any day. Ex: I make my own fresh pasta noodles from scratch. That alone, the noodles are already fresh and silky. With fresh eggs... "!!!!!" JABA APPROVED. Until the next review....

How good was my experience at Old World Meat Company? So good, I cried. I grew up eating Balkan…read morefood and my first bite of the cevap (minced meat sausage but there is no casing; just the meat hand-formed and grilled) tasted like "the olden days" and tears started flowing because of the happy memories and flavors it brought back. Bosko and his family own, operate, and create the menu at this restaurant and they are friendly and welcoming and passionate about the food and service they offer, and it felt like coming home. The Food: I had the Mixed Plate, which comes with grilled minced meat sausage, grilled pork shoulder and a side of coleslaw (prepared the Balkan way with oil and vinegar). I chose the Balkan toppings, so the meat was served on a naan type bread topped with the Balkan toppings which consists of white onions, kajmak (feta cheese/cream/butter spread), diced bell peppers, and ajvar (bell pepper and eggplant spread). The sausage is perfectly seasoned, the pork shoulder tender. A friend and I also shared a half-order of Balkan Fries with sausage topped with Balkan toppings. The combination of the fries, sausage and toppings is a tantalizing, mouth-watering marriage of flavors. Bosko brought a sample of the chicken since we hadn't ordered it and it was full of flavor and oh so tender. If you've never had Balkan food, you are in for a very delicious treat. The first time you eat here, I suggest you get the Mixed Plate with Balkan Toppings. Ask them to add a side of chicken to your plate so you can sample that too. I think you'll find you've died and gone to Balkan heaven. If you want to know what every person of Balkan heritage grew up eating, this is what we were eating. The Drink: They offer a good variety of beers on tap, both local brews and name-brand. Soft drinks and iced tea are self-serve. Nice. The Ambiance: The restaurant is located in an older, tiny little shopping mall almost at the end of East Valley Parkway. Bosko's father bought the building back in the 70s so this is a location that is near and dear to Bosko's heart. As you first walk up to the restaurant, the first thing you notice is the wonderful smell of the smoker filling the air with the unmistakable scent of good-meat-things-happening. Taste buds, get ready for a grand ride. There are picnic tables outside but it was a warm day and we wanted to sit inside. Inside you are greeted with a clean, open and welcoming space, newly decorated with bright white tile in the kitchen and service area, and rustic wood boards on the wall. Seating is at either picnic-style tables or taller tables with stools. Two TV sets were airing sports programs, adding to the relaxing atmosphere. The ceiling features open duct work that's shiny and new and there's corrugated metal sheet on the bottom half of the walls, which all together makes the place feel fresh and warm and comfortable. The menu is easy to read and straight-forward. While we were there, a softball team was hosting their end-of-year party. The place was full to the rafters but we never felt like it was too many people or too loud. Value: The prices are extremely reasonable. Let's just say my eyeballs didn't pop out of their sockets like they do at some restaurants. Everyone in my party was pleased with the portion sizes, and we all felt like we got more than what we paid for in terms of the quality of the food and the taste of the food. Catering: Bosko was telling us a little about how he came around to opening the restaurant and we learned that before this he did catering, serving whole roasted pig, lamb, sausages. He shared that they are going to cater for an event that will have 1,200 people!! The softball team I mentioned in "The Ambiance" section had their food catered in-house by Bosko. They had hero sandwiches which looked fresh and delicious and fully loaded with deli ham, turkey and toppings. These were served with fries and a green salad. Old World Meat Co also caters the traditional Balkan foods they serve at the restaurant, which would make any party a hit with guests. Bosko is passionate about his food and culture and is eager to share it with people, so if you have a party coming up, give Bosko a call and see what he can do for you. Take Some Home: You can purchase a package of frozen sausages to take home with you. I forgot to ask if they come pre-cooked or if you grill them yourself. But either way, they would be a great addition to any meal you serve at home. Final Thoughts: Do yourself a favor. Come and partake of this oh so delicious food and I think you will find yourself wanting to come back again and again. The food. The ambiance. The value. The nicest people you'll ever meet. Old World Meat Company is the whole package. A five-star experience for sure.
