At the end of training, you will be yelled at if you try to ask a question because the instructor has no manners. She spent the entire training on her phone and then raised her voice to me because I wanted the card and I wanted to leave. She forced me to sit through the training I did not sign up for and would not give me the certification for the training I did sign up for. Training is tedious and mostly involves watching videos. You're paying to watch videos, and the trainer sits on her phone the whole time. She skipped the hands on portion of the training multiple times, and we only interacted with mannequins a couple of times. The trainer was also disrespectful of time, and would make us sit in silence while she played on her phone instead of going to the next video. She also used my name as an example MULTIPLE times throughout the training but did not use anyone else's name. It was very confusing that she kept targeting me by name but did not use the other students names in her examples. We *should* have been able to finish early due to a very small class size (only 3 people) but she dragged it on by refusing to go on to the next video without being promoted or asked hey what's going on. We were not even finished at 1pm when we were supposed to be, because she was disrespectful of time and kept wasting it. She let other students ramble on about random stories instead of staying focused on the training. And then, at the end, when it was 4 minutes left, and she has not given me the card yet, and I asked for my card, which she had given to other students, she refused. Even though she said, I had done all of the training required to get the card. This is a scam. Do not waste your money. Do not waste your time. Michelle will not give you a card, and she will yell at you for asking. It was insanely unprofessional. She has no business training anyone or teaching anyone because she can't even emotionally regulate enough to answer questions calmly without yelling. She was there with someone who she was supposed to be training, and that person got to witness her yelling at me. That doesn't seem like something a trainer should be doing. Spare yourself the annoyance. For this much $, I expected a hands on instructor present and not on their phone. I am sure those people exist but they do not at this business. I have been certified before and can attest that other places have ANY standard of care. read more

Probably one of the worst schools I have ever had the displeasure to go to. First that advertisement is absolutely incorrect. They basically tell you you can do things on your own time. But after you sign up you find out that's not true. You only have 6 months to finish the entire book plus all their required add-ons that you need to sign up for for different websites and tests. Plus within your student window they also embedded an extension part I think Within the 30 something chapter. That now you have to pay another $200 for it. Plus they require you to go to a physical facility for your physical exam. Which is never nearby, you're also going to have to pay for a hotel with your own money for 3 days. Plus you have to go to a physical clinical facility. And probably pay another hotel stay to finish your clinicals. After you finish your clinicals you have to sign up yourself for nremt to finally take the one test that you truly need to become an EMT. By the way they don't pay for your first try you are going to have to pay another $104 for the exam. The customer service is absolute garbage! And amount of money that you pay for it is absolutely insulting. Plus they use the mobster mindset, once you start doing the school you're already invested so much time in it so you're not going to quit and go to something else. This business plan is absolute BS. 6 months is impossible to do this class! And FYI before you can do your physical exam to do your Airway stuff and Trauma you are going to have to get the entire section done 30 days before the end time of your first 6 months. Wish they don't tell you. You are going to be doing this for maybe a year. And if you have no work you can probably do a quicker. I recommend going to a physical EMT class and do it that way. Guarantee you'll get a lot more help and training. Because by the day you finally can do your EMT test you're going to be forgetting a lot of things. read more

EMT student there, good class but the administration is terrible. Be prepared to wait weeks for simple emails to be answered. Their mandated oral board is impossible to schedule. Waited weeks for a response just to receive an invalid code; at which point I had to wait over a week to receive an email without a code ? Their phones number leads you to their website(says 48 hour response) takes 3 weeks. You can email and call these people all you want and they won't answer. They have delayed my finishing of this course by a month and I'm still waiting. Would not recommend to anyone. read more

I came for the first time awhile back for my ACLS and I believe I had Clint who was very great. I needed my BLS renewal this time and remembered my first RC Health Services experience and was happy to not have to wonder where to go. Jason was my instructor this time and he was great as well! I took the BLS Instructor course here and trained with Chris Gallop. What an incredible human! He knows his stuff, has a ton of experience and even better, great stories! I guest instructed with him 3 times and have nothing but great things to say about how he keeps a class engaged and his overall instruction method. There was small mix-up in getting my final credential but Brandie Choate in the Irving office was SUPER helpful in getting that corrected and now I am officially a BLS instructor! I took my BLS CPR class here. The instructor reminded me of an mingy Mississippi Alligator. But, she turned out to be pretty nice and sweet. I'd give her a 10 if I could. I refreshed my skills and feel confident in providing CPR to anybody. Please let Tonya know that although I gave her a hard time in class she is a sweet alligator in my book. I took the EMT-B class here and could not have been more disappointed. For starters 3 of the first 6 classes were cancelled because they couldn't get coverage. There was a misunderstanding that on Halloween day class would be canceled so no one in the class showed up. When we showed up for the following class one of the companies executives belittled us as if we were children via Skype; and stated that if anyone were to be counted absent for any of the following classes no matter the reason that they would be dropped from the course despite the 3 unexcused absence rule clearly stated in the handbook. To top it off one of the employees of RC Health Services made a post to Facebook "photo of said post attached to review" belittling the entire class the day before said class was to take place instead of informing the students that class was in fact not canceled and everyone was expected to be in attendance. The same employee that made this post also sat in class and publicly shamed a fellow student for low grades stating "let's see who I can call out" and "man your grades suck why are you still here!" Incredibly unprofessional behavior. I'm glad to see that at least some of the other reviewers had a good experience because mine was poor to say the least. read more

My time working with RC Health was the absolute worst educational experience of my life. I completed RC Health's EMT Program during the pandemic, which meant the majority of class time took place over Zoom. The instructors did not teach, but instead read directly from the PowerPoints or textbook. The few in person skill labs were the only opportunity to learn how to conduct patient assessments, how to use a blood pressure cuff, listen for a pulse, etc. This type of environment leads students to memorize information rather than understanding the material. There were many mistakes made by instructors during the duration of the course. Instead of taking responsibility for mistakes, the instructors would often pass blame and at times pass it off to their students. For example, the students did not have a direct phone number to call instructors after class time. The only way to contact an instructor after class was via email. It would take days to receive a response back. When provided that feedback, the instructor (Tim) stated there was not enough time to read emails for over 300 students unless the email subject was labeled "URGENT." Since completion of this course is required to be able to apply for many fire departments, I made sure I turned everything in on time and completed to avoid delaying course completion and missing a potential career opportunity. Since the majority of interactions occurred online, we often had to send our instructors paperwork via email. At one point, I was informed I could not proceed with course completion because I failed to turn in paperwork. I promptly responded back to inform the instructor (Lynn) I had in fact turned in all the required documents. I had to wait anxiously for days to find out if I could continue on because they did not respond to emails timely. When I finally received an answer, the instruct advised me that I was disrespectful for stating their information was incorrect. After the poor leadership displayed in the above interactions (along with other examples that I have not provided), I decided to file a formal complaint with the educational and course directors. They were both contacted twice and I never received a response back from either. I moved on from the issues since we had completed our class final on August 11th and the end was in site. Virtual oral boards and virtual clinicals were the last items to complete to finish the course. I chose RC Health's EMT Program because it was expected to be completed more quickly than the courses offered at other colleges. After my final exam, it took three weeks for RC Health to set up virtual oral boards and virtual clinicals. My original instructors (Lynn and Tim) did not set them up, but instead a different RC Health employee. She instructed that I complete the paperwork required for the oral boards and clinicals and submit them. They were submitted on August 27th. A week later, I had not received confirmation that I was eligible to register for the National Exam, so I sent an email for a status update. At that point, Lynn advised that the instructor who conducted my oral boards and clinicals did not conduct them correctly and it was my fault for not following up sooner. Obviously, I was upset by this information. I had completed my oral boards and clinicals as I was directed by the instructor. That instructor quit a day or two after my oral boards and clinicals. RC Health and Lynn accepted ZERO responsibility for the actions of their instructor. At this point, I've been delayed from completing the course multiple weeks. I find a number for RC Health and finally find the Operations Manager, Jason, who is willing to listen. Unfortunately, he has to give me the news that they cannot accept virtual clinicals now and I would have to wait longer to do live clinicals since not all ambulances were accepting student clinicals. I was delayed 6 weeks because an instructor at RC Health did not perform their job correctly. At no point did anyone offer an apology. Finally, after completing my clinicals I turned my paperwork into Lynn with a request to be processed ASAP so I could move on with my life. Her response was that I was owed nothing from her and it will get done when she felt it necessary. Long story short, this is possibly the worst organization and education I have ever had to experience. I suggest that you find your EMT classes from some other source. read more

I love RC Health services! I took a CPR class at the Irving location and I will never go anywhere else. The instructor was awesome, and the receptionist Brandy was beyond helpful, professional, and very welcoming. I have been to other places as well but this one is by far the best and I would definitely recommend it to anyone needing this type of class. read more

I was able to get my BLS, ACLS and PALS certification through RC Health Services with great instructors who were knowledgeable and experienced in the EMS service. The classes provided the most current information provided by the American Heart Association. The classes were small enough to allow for great instructor to student ratio. The sign up process was easy and available online. I was able to pay for the classes ahead of time or on the day of the class and they had multiple locations to attend the classes and classes were available every week in the disciplines I needed. read more

Could I give a zero? That would be more accurate. We arrived at this school to get something that my daughter needed for her clinicals in Houston that start first thing Monday morning. We made a planned trip to DFW a whole day early to be able to get to the school before closing time at 5:00. We arrived at 3:00 to a locked darkened place. The staff person left...unbeknownst to her superiors. Hmmm...wonder if she still has a job? Shouldn't! We called the Houston location to ask their advice. The person there was very helpful, took our number and said she would call and find the staff person and have her call us. 15 minutes later, the Houston person called us to see if we had been called by the Irving staff person. She told us that the Irving person said she was in the office...ummm.... No. We were right there. If you get caught skipping out on work, don't say you are there when your customer is staring at your dark empty office! So, the Irving person called us finally. She chastised us for not letting her know we were coming....during their operating hours! What!?!?!? She then said she didn't know what she could do for us because she wasn't there. After some arguing with her she decided to give us the code that would open the door to the entire school and grant us access. So we went into the office and got what we needed. Glad we are honest!? Hope there wasn't any PII around! We were just glad after over an hour to have what we came for. Seriously, bad customer service! read more

I believe my instructors name was Hunter. I took the class about a month ago so I am not certain but he was great! He was concise, helpful and added a few personal experiences from his nursing career that were helpful. This was a very painless way of getting ACLS done. I've been certified for many years and this was by far a much less stressful experience than the rest. Will be back! read more
