They have years of experience teaching these courses as they were able to tell me what were the differences in practice between the old guidelines and the most current ones. One of the instructors was an RN so she able to give us practical tidbits and show us things to look out for in codes. Coming in I was really lacking in interpreting rhythm strips, and the instructor helped me remember easy ways to recognize the different patterns. I enjoyed the hands-on experience working the defibrillator while the instructor went through the different ACLS algorithms. Classes are small enough for you to feel like its individualized teaching and they definitely do want you to succeed so you can perform high-quality CPR in the field and/or participate in codes. Will come again when it's time to re-certify.

There are lots of great jobs that are out there that require a different type of preparation than the traditional college route. But, even if the preparation for the path does include a traditional 4 year college, this school helps build a good foundation for that as well. Some paths they offer are A/V productions, Automotive Collision, Cosmetology, Culinary Arts, Electrical, Cybersecurity, Firefighter, Forensic Sciences, Horticulture, Welding, and Wood Manufacturing. The formula here is hire highly accomplished industry experts to train the students to be industry ready. They stay current on their industry knowledge with industry business partners. The students participate in internships through their industry partners and everyone hopes those internships lead to fulltime positions when the students graduate. Today I was here for " Signing Day" when the students sign their intent to go work for the companies they have interned for upon their graduation. It was an amazing thing to see and feel the energy and excitement in the room and see the pride in the parent's eyes! I have an opportunity to visit such programs all over and have to say I am not sure there is another program that does what they do better than Lewisville does it!
