I have been a customer of Razny's for over 25 years now. They use to have a location in the Green Meadows Shopping Center in Addison. If I remember correctly it was their first and only location. Mr. Razny (deceased now) and I designed my diamond ring from my Mom's and My Diamonds(from a previous marriage)in to a gorgeous ring. Mrs. Razny (retired, now living in FL) appraised all my precious stone rings in the 80's. I guess it's time for a new appraisal. What an amazing store! The jewelry selection is fantastic. Very high quality and spectacular designs. We had been looking for a jewelry store in the western suburbs and hadn't been able to find one we liked until we went to Razny's. She cleaned his watch, cleaned my watch, fixed a broken pair of earrings, cleaned my engagement ring and sized my wedding band by shaving down the inside of the band (that was the only way to do it). The journey started 20yrs ago when I first walked into Razny in Addison. Little did I know 20yrs later, I would be back. I knew for my 20th Anniversary that I wanted to re-design my ring so I knew what I needed to do, return back to where the journey first started. I worked with Christine & Stan Razny and it was an absolute pleasure. They are both experts in their field and were extremely helpful and informative to me as someone who knew little about diamonds. I think I may have walked into this jewelry store on their busiest day of the year. But I took it as a good sign. Even with all the couples who were there for a wedding band event I actually found they were very accommodating and I would say definitely the best service I can remember receiving at a jewelry store. I was interested in seeing their watch collection. Matthew Abitabile and another salesperson spoke to me extensively about the brands, the movements, and watch buying in general. After discussing several different brands I explained that I had never purchased a Rolex and Matthew took the Rolex watch off his wrist and handed it to me so I could see the quality firsthand. Such a nice gesture. I very much wanted to see the new Tudor Black Bay Chrono and he was able to track one down for me along with a Black Bay 58. I purchased an engagement ring from Jewelers Row in Chicago and it wasn't done properly the first time. We went back 2 more times for edits and it was never right. Less than 2 years later the ring was already starting to bend where they made it too thin. I worked with Christine from Razny Jewelers and she was able to create a beautiful mold and redo the entire ring to which my then fiance and now wife, absolutely loves! They were also able to make a beautiful wedding band to match the ring. The service was excellent from every person we worked with. The cost was reasonable and the quality of the ring has exceeded our expectations. Plus they were able to have both rings done before the projected deadline that they gave us.
