I would think making a customer come back would be important. I guess not when anger is a problem the barber has. Ray sent me a message 1 year later to tell me I was lying. He was also using bad language. Sounds like the same guy that went off on me for just trying to get a hair cut. Please read this review it's true. I had the worst experience here. The owner Ray was cutting my hair and it was the worst taper ever. He said he was done but he hadn't even cut the sides. I told him I didn't like it and he started yelling at me. I thought he was going to beat me up. Another guest was telling to please calm down. But he chased me to my car and he was pounding on my window. He was very upset because I told him I liked how the other guy had cut my hair last time. However he didn't work there anymore. I would never go to this place again. Very very unprofessional I made in appointment with ray a day before At 1:30 I showed up 10mins early I'm sitting down He asked me who I was waiting for. I told him I had in appointment with ray at 1:30 He got my name wrong first off Then ask me who sent me to him (((Mind you I don't know this guy I never been here. I have my barber but my barber is on vacation and I leave Monday for my vacation)) when he asked who sent me to him i told him my cousin did . I went in today to check out the place, since it was high rated on here. I recently moved to Pico Rivera and was hoping to find a new barber shop. I decided to visit the shop to take a look around (get a feel of the place) and to hopefully buy some Suavecito pomade. Long story short, the guy working there (probably the owner, old rockabilly guy) was extremely rude. The shop was completely empty when I arrived. I was never greeted, I proceeded to get a container of pomade and was ready to pay. I asked how much, and was told 12 bucks. I only had a 20 dollar bill so I attempted to pay with it. Been struggling to find a good barbershop for a long time now and I think I finally found the spot and barber to go to on a consistent basis. I was able to book an appointment with Johnny and it was quick and easy. I was helped almost as soon as I arrived and at the actual time I scheduled my appointment; unlike other barbers that have made me wait because they decided to start a haircut right before my scheduled appointment. The barbers there were friendly and all seemed to be very skilful. The environment is good and having some good TV shows on while getting my cut made this trip to the Barbershop seem like it was quick as can be. I was very satisfied with the cut and shave that Johnny gave me. I asked for a cut that was a bit out of the ordinary and a great job was done. These guys pay attention to details and Johnny seemed like a true professional. He greets his customers as they walk in and wishes them well as they exit his establishment. Place is good but some of these barber do what they want not what is asked I for my hair cut a few times by the same barber Rafael and it was ok but then he would cut my hair and say I cut this that way because of this and I did that because of that I went in today asked him specifically for a straight mid length fade and he gave a high fade chopped off half my hair on top and tried to lie to me about his mistake when I asked him if this was a mid fade and if I asked for a high fade where would the line be he looked at me and said maybe I went a bit high I asked him if I come back if he would cut my hair how I asked him in a nice way he said maybe I dont know how to cut hair and said no I wont cut your hair anymore wow couldnt belive that,there are other barber and I will still come to the shop because it on my way home lol I believe Ray gave me his card and I will get my hair cut by him now sucks because I tried to keep Rafael as a barber but he took it personal its business you do what the customer asked and pays for that's how busines is done. read more

Real great find, open early and the barbers do great cuts in a short amount of time. You know your at a good shop and are greeted and told "will be right with you" other shops just let you sit and don't even acknowledge you. I believe in second chances, hence I gave this barbershop a second chance. I called at seven thirty in the morning since their yelp profile says they open at seven thirty. Sure enough Ray answers so I asked if they open at seven thirty and Ray yells at me saying no we don't open at seven thirty we open at eight in the morning and hangs up. I had no chance to say anything else since he just hung up on me. You would think I would not give these people my business after the way they answer the phone and my business is income to them. But I was around the area so I showed up at seven thirty since their page says they open at that time so I think what's thirty more minutes Ray says they will open at eight in the morning. So being the nice guy that I am believing in second chances I wait until eight in the morning...... No sign of anyone or Ray showing up so I wait it's eight thirty now one hour after it says they're supposed to open and nothing. I can't be this nice and wait more than an hour especially after the way he answered the phone. If he answers like this to a potential customer not caring obviously he doesn't care about any of his customers. Customer service is everything in any business. Even if the product that you buy or in this case the service you treat every customer or potential customer like gold. Why because they are what keep you open, so I can't wait more than an hour I can't be this nice sorry Ray you lost another customer and many more potential customers for lying and being rude. Maybe you have too many customers right, doesn't matter because every customer matters in the eyes of a business man or business owner. read more
