Tried to charge me 10$ for air literally. I was running low on air. Asked if I can please use the air he asked for 10$ lol. I thought he was kidding. But he said no the owner demands people pay 10$ for air. I hope you choke on your sandwich buddy read more

My neighbor had a junk car sitting in his garage sitting for 12 years. Rays was listed as the lien holder. So as a long shot we called him on a Saturday. He asked that we call him Monday so that he can dig in the files Monday. I called Ray and he got us the title no problem. He was fast, friendly and kept his word. I was impressed that he kept a title from 12 years prior. That's good admin! Thanks Ray! read more

If you're female, you don't wanna step foot on this property unless you are prepared to be treated like a piece of dog poop on the bottom of this A-hole's new shoes. My friend and I went PREPARED TO PURCHASE A VEHICLE... FOR "CASH" (cashier's check) and this dork refused to let us test drive the car unless we committed to purchasing it. What? No one buys a car without test driving it unless they are morons. He kept saying, "It drives!" And I kept replying, "And how do we know that?" He replied, "I'm telling you it drives!" And I asked, "HOW does it drive? Is it a smooth ride? A rough ride? How is the steering? How are the breaks? Does everything work properly? Etc." And he told us we were wasting his time. So we made moves to leave and he followed us to my car ranting and raving like a lunatic. He had plenty of time to waste telling us all the ways offering him thousands and thousands of dollars was little more than a nuisance to him, so ... who is actually wasting his dang time? Rest assured, when my friend purchases her car, for cash, we will be taking a photo and sending it to Ray's and telling them all the take turns placing it without care where the sun doesn't shine. I wish Ray and all his crew all the karma that they have coming their way. read more

Came here excited to test drive a VW Touareg they had listed. Told the owner I also had an appointment to drive two other cars today. Well after getting the first car back to the dealer because The car transmission broke down and the car wont turn on completely . Ray said oh everything is checked and all car parts should be new or 50% new, so we trusted the man on his words. The first car 'Smart Two' broke down on me within the first week of driving. After that, Ray refused to work on it and rather than that he choose to sell it back to auction. Im on my second car again, Toyota Yaris, with him because my down payment was still on hold for the first vehicle ( smart two) , waiting on the street for towing... we called Ray to see what he will say.. and like 95% of all reviews Ray was of course extremely top notch rude, hanging up the phone on us and telling us it s your Problem now deal with it. THIS IS NOT WHAT BUYING FROM A DEALERSHIP IS LIKE AT ALL. Never had problems with private party cars more than i had with this Dealership right here. read more

Not an honest business! Be aware of getting scammed. My old uncle who doesn't speak much English came to this business to do smog on his car. Smog didn't pass because there was a problem with the car. The owner gave him the wrong information to take advantage of an expensive repair that car didn't need. Luckily he went to another place to fix the car and it became clear he was lying. After arguing with him he took the car's key and in order to get it back, we had to call the police. Ray, the owner is not an honest man. Avoid this business. read more

RAY IS A RIP OFF. OVERCHARGE SCAM!!! The owner is the rudest and shadiest man. He tried to take advantage of me with overcharging. There was Another customer waiting and he left too because he also agreed Ray is a scam. Today I went in to ask how much a HORN replacement would cost. Ray automatically was for some reason bothered by this question and started to get huffy and puffy. No wonder his other Yelp reviews are clearly not good and you can see he's a rip off joke. So I left!! Also, I don't appreciate an attitude while I'm being ripped off. That's funny. The best part of all of this, there was ANOTHER customer inside who heard all of this and He also left too because he saw I was being ripped off. The man told me I was smart to leave. So to whomever that man was... Thank you!!!! It made my day! So Ray, you lost TWO customers today!! He OVERCHARGES. Has a BAD attitude and his work isn't worth a penny since it ends up breaking again months later. He's a SCAM. Don't go here!!!! ****** He will also will call you several times to threaten you too. Which was hilarious. I have call logs. Please don't waste your time here. Can't wait to hear your response back too guys. I read some of the responses your company wrote to the same Yelp reviews that were bad- it just shows your disrespect and bad attitude that a lot of people have stated. read more

Ray's Auto Sales - Car Dealers Near Me - Valley Village, California

My Service Engine Soon light came on so I called Ray's which is just down the block from my home. Ray himself answered and even though it was his first day back from vacation, he told me to bring my Infiniti over. I expected I'd have to leave it overnight but no, I got it back the same day with a full diagnosis and a fix! I also learned a lot about sensors and how saving money on regular gas is actually hurting my MPG. But in a very kind way, not a lecture. I'm really thrilled with Ray's service. Lupe in the office and the guys in the shop were all great. Thanks, I'll be back! read more

I hoped that this was going to be a good review, but after my experience with Ray and the quality of his cars, it prompted otherwise. I was there about two weeks ago looking at a Mazda3 (stock#: 506205) hoping to get it. He was helpful and understanding, and I had my hopes on getting the car. Ultimately, it didn't work out. I came back this past Saturday, 6/29/19, to look at some other cars on his lot that were more within my budget, and looked at a GTI (stock #: 062062). I noticed that there were cosmetic issues but the car drove and sounded fine. Ray was out of town so his son said he'd have his dad give me a call Monday (7/1/19) to answer my questions, which he did. He was adamant on his price even though the cosmetic issues were expensive, saying that he sold a GTI the month prior which had more miles and costed more, blah, blah, blah. Something told me before I continued, I needed to take this GTI to my mechanic to have a pre-purchase service. Ray was by no means helpful in coordinating that but nonetheless, I got the car to my mechanic this morning (7/3/19). He took a look at it for all of 10 minutes before telling I should NOT buy this car, because the laundry list of issues that there is would cost me thousands of dollars. When we brought the car back to Ray's he was aware of the issues but went into "shady dealer mode," and said that's what you get with German cars. The descriptions of his cars on his website are DECEIVING!! AVOID THIS SMALL CORNER LOT DEALER!!! read more

We bought our daughter's Toyota RAV4 at Ray's and we couldn't be happier. We found it on CarGuru, which is a fantastic site to understand price comparisons. CarGuru said it was a great deal. There was no opportunity to haggle when we got there but we knew the car was a great deal after doing our homework. And we had the car checked out from our mechanic of 20 years and he said we got a great car; plus it's absolutely spotless inside. Ray is super nice and there was absolutely no pressure. I bought a 2007 Mustang. It needed a switch for the driver's seat, which they replaced. Rude, unaccommodating. Ray is a complete jerk in my humble opinion. I stopped by hoping to test drive one of the cars and he treated me like a solicitor trying to sell him something. Complete joke! Okay.... So I started my car search 2 weeks ago. I've been looking for a 2000-2006 BMW 3 series. I had already looked at a handful, but hadn't found the right one yet. Of course I was searching through every Internet site possible (Auto Trader, Craigslist, Cars.com, Edmunds, etc). Well, I happened to see a black 2002 BMW with higher miles than I would like, but looked decent from the pics and trust me I know my expectations aren't too high, when buying a used car. However, I also do much research when purchasing a car. I check the value (KBB) and also look at comparable sales. Based off the miles, and the condition of the car, the car was overpriced by maybe 1500.... I thought to myself "Not bad. Worth looking at" Well last week I finally called "Rays Auto Sales" and spoke with Ray himself. He was very professional and sounded nice over the phone. He said "Come by. Take a look at whatever car you want even test drive them". Well, I arrive to his lil 12 car dealership. I notice that none of his cars have prices. I introduce myself and tell him that I'm interested in the 03 BMW 330ci that's on the lot. He tells me that the price for that car is "8,900". I told him I saw it online for "7,900" and I was the guy that just called. He said "Oh buddy, sorry, yes, the Internet price is "7,900". I told myself "whatever" I can expect that from most used car dealers, right? Well, I turn on the car and it's idling a bit funny. I call him over and tell him that I would like to test drive it. He asked me how much I like the car. I told him that the car looks to be in decent shape, but I can't really tell until I test drive it. He asked me if I was okay with the price. I explained to him that the price will vary much depend on the test drive. I also explained to him that before I even agreed to a price, I would take the car to a BMW dealership to get a pre-purchase inspection. He said "No, No, No... unless you can agree to the price, I cannot let you test Drive the car".... I was bit shocked, not only because he wouldn't let me test drive it and wanted me to agree on a price, before I even know if the car moves... but because he said it in such a rude tone". I explained to him that I am also in sales and that I would never expect one of my clients to agree to a price before they even understand the product. I was extremely calm and pretty professional as a buyer. I do this, because always think any person I meet could be a prospective client. Anyways, Ray then decided to ask what I sell. I told him I sell real Estate... He laughed and said "You're not a salesman.. try selling used cars. In this scenario. I am number one and you're number two. You would not be able to do what I do"... I got pretty frustrated at this guys attempt to insult me. So I told him "What are we doing measuring each other dicks now. I came here to test drive a car.. and you want me o agree to a price when I don't even know if it runs". He explained that I look like a grinder and he doesn't like to deal with people that want to negotiate or grind him down on prices. I walked way before he could even finish. As I'm walking away he yells "Come back when you know how to do business" The ghetto "inside" of me wanted to punch this guy in the face. I can't believe I was just talked to in such a rude and disrespectful manner. The reviews on the top of YELP are completely fake... It's obvious.. and not because he's Armenian and the fake reviews have Armenian names as well, but there is no way that me and two other people have had very similar experiences and he's "Amazing" to those two line reviews. I have no idea where in the world this guy thinks he can sell cars and have people agree to overpriced vehicles and before test driving. The funny part is that my brother works for BMW and he delivers parts to this guy. When I told him what happened and what lil dealership it was, he said to never buy anything from this guy. He said that he's delivering parts for every BMS car in his lot that is for sell multiple times a week. Maybe, that's why he's not big on having his cars driven... they probably have very few lil miles before something collapses OR maybe he's just the worst car salesmen in the world.. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!! I SWEAR!! read more

I stopped by the other day in passing as I've been shopping around for a used car and haven't had much luck on Craigslist. The owner, a guy named Ray, was so completely rude to me. First off, there are no prices listed on the cars. I always feel like I'm getting ripped off when I see this. Like the price will vary based on how much they think they can swindle me. Anyhow, I was so turned off by this guy's a-hole, used cars salesman tactics that I just walked off the lot. I've never been spoken to so condescendingly by someone trying to sell ME something. Yes, I realize I AM a woman, but I'm not a COMPLETE moron when it comes to cars. My brother is a Master Tech Mechanic and taught me a thing or two. I'm writing this review 1 year after I bought my car, and I still love it. After looking around for weeks at both dealers and private owners and having my mechanic find issues with every car I brought in, I finally found Rays. The salesmen there are straightforward and are willing to be honest about cars that will and will not last. (They actually steered me away from a couple of more expensive cars to one that they thought would be more practical for me, and I'm glad I listened.) The car I found was a complete steal in comparison to the prices of similar cars at other dealers. I've had my Jetta for a year now and the only thing I've replaced is the windshield wipers. I would (and have) HIGHLY recommend Rays to anyone who needs a car. As far as people who are saying that they bought lemons here, my advice with ANY used car is to take it to your own mechanic before buying. There are always things that could go wrong with a used car that might be easily missed. Ray had no problem with me driving the car to my nearby mechanic to have it checked out. read more

At Ray's Auto Sales I didn't feel like I was at a car dealership. I felt like I was at my Uncle's car shop. Ray is not a "salesperson", he's a certified Toyota mechanic. He is extremely knowledgeable about cars and he finds very high quality used cars (I checked several cars on his lot on CarFax). I had been to other dealerships and they were trying to sell me Salvage titles without even mentioning anything. Most of the craig's list used vehicles were just as scammy, with many advertised personally owned vehicles listing incorrect mileage and not reporting accidents in the ads. Ray answered my endless questions and put me entirely at ease. They picked me up from the metro station, just to look at cars! You will not find customer service and quality vehicles like this easily, I assure you. Most importantly, I was on a modest budget and could not afford expensive repairs, or to buy a "lemon". Everyone on staff will take care of you with utmost personal attention. This is a great business and they definitely earned my confidence. I was not an easy customer because I felt nervous and stressed but Ray and staff are both personable and professional. I hope you feel as satisfied with your purchase as I do. Just bought a nice little Kia Forte from these guys about 2 weeks ago. Ray himself helped me out and was very helpful. I had a good overall experience. I just called them up with a few questions and this time Nick helped me out. He was awesome and supportive, gave me contacts for a locksmith and a tint shop at discounted prices. Shady. Less than honest. No full disclosure. I spoke to Nick if I could test drive a 2002 Nissan Frontier over the phone. He said, "sure." I drive there 20 minutes later. He tells me that I need to agree to the $7,400 price and dealer fees which total $8,500 before I can even test drive it. Let me ask you which dealer makes you agree to buy the car before you test drive it. The only ones I know are shady, snake-oil, dishonest ones. If you like being taken advantage of, this is the place for you. I priced a 2004 Nissan Frontier with power options in excellent condition and dealer retail was $7,800. This place is a rip off and a waste of my time. I'm going to keep shopping online using autotrader.com, cars.com, craigslist.org, carsdirect.com, ebaymotors.com, autotempest.com, etc. It would still be cheaper and better to ship the car to me than to buy here. I will never come back to this place. By the way he tells me when I get there, that all their prices are firm and they don't take offers. I'm not stupid, but maybe people in North Hollywood are stupid enough to agree to buy their cars at asking prices without even a test drive. read more

Ray seems nice and honest. Think again. He sold me a car that broke down 7 days after I bought it. The problem was pre-existing according to an independent mechanic. Ray refused to fix the car until I threatened to take legal action. He then gave in and apparently had it fixed but failed to give me any proof from the mechanic that anything was done to the car. Since I got it back it is making new suspicious noises. ALSO I traded in a car which never submitted the transfer of ownership for. He then got a parking ticket with it and refused to pay it. Now I am stuck with with his ticket. read more
