I brought my car into Valvoline at 3930 W State St Boise, Idaho for an oil change. On my last…read morevisit, it was suggested that I get a manual transmission service performed, so at this visit, I paid for the transmission service along with the oil change. 35 miles later as I was pulling into my parking spot at work the transmission completely seized up due to the lack of oil.  It was later found by a local mechanic, that the drain plug was not properly tightened as well as the crush washer not having been replaced on the transmission. While Valvoline did take responsibility for the transmission and cover the labor, they left me to pay for the clutch and flywheel. They told me the mechanic said it was normal wear and tear. When I talked to the mechanic later, he said that was never said and that it was damaged from the transmission seizing. Valvoline lied to me to get me to agree to their terms so they wouldn't have to pay for the parts. When I confronted them with this information they still refused to pay for the parts even though they knew they had gotten me to agree under false pretenses as well as only verbally, they still refused to pay. In short a $99.99 service is now costing me $700 and I was without a car for just under 2 weeks. Don't go here unless it's an emergency, last and only resort. You might only make it 35 miles before you're car is toast. Thank goodness the oil change was fine otherwise they probably would've gave me a bare block and said the rest was normal wear and tear nevermind the absence of oil.

It was finally time to come in and get my car up to date. Aidin and Colter helped me today. Very professional and kind from jump. There were a couple cars ahead of us. We chilled outside of the shop while the other two were being handled. As soon as the car that was in my bay was done, Aidin guided me into my bay. Driving into that bay will always freak me out! Aidin did a great job guiding me in. The car next to us was being worked on since they were next. Again, my husband and I chilled till they were done. It was about 15-20 minutes or so till my car was next. Aidin and Colter got right to business! They were cautious about everything! Double checking and communicating what was done and what needs to be done. I appreciate how thorough they were! We were done in a jiffy. I wasn't pressed into buying or upgrading anything. I have a bucket that I'm driving till I'm ready to get my new car. I don't want to put too much into it, just the basic. So not being pressured to upgrade was nice!
