His price was 25% less than anyone in Alachua County and was very thorough in his explanation. Roy and his crew showed up as scheduled and they discovered the old drain field was put in improperly in that the water had nowhere to go because the pipes were flowing uphill. That and the field was packed with cheap packing popcorn. They were done by 11a and the inspector by noon. His crew graded the area perfectly even and I couldn't be happier with their work. They were initially nice and professional, but encountered a problem when their septic truck got stuck in my yard after the job. Despite their apology and assurance to fix the yard ruts, my experience took a downturn. Following numerous calls requesting the ruts be leveled, I faced a runaround and eventually dropped the matter. Fast forward a year, I encountered plumbing issues again and called a plumber he later discovered that my drainfield was damaged from Howard Septic driving over it. I had to have another septic tank company, pump out the tank again due to the drainfield damaged. they expressed irritation after hearing what happened to my drainfield. Additionally, I learned that Howard only pumped out one section of the septic tank, neglecting the other. This experience not only resulted in damage to my property but also incomplete service for which I was charged in full. They've been out multiple times to assess and pump, always assuring us that there were no problems. One time their solution was simply to shovel dirt from the empty lot next door to pile up in the standing water. Job done. Absolute morons, dishonest with no integrity. We now have to pay another company to dig a new drain field because Ford's botched it the first time and refused to acknowledge their negligence (or outright incompetence), taking advantage of our ignorance on the subject as first-time home owners.
