We had to pay out of pocket AGAIN for another cut and strip/recolor with a competent stylist. Stylist was rushed, stuck another haircut in the middle of our appointment, started 30 minutes late, and ran out of color. Save yourself the tears. Go somewhere else.

I get my hair done there normally and am always happy, but this just went above and beyond. Once out, they washed, cut and blew dry her hair. I have never seen her hair more beautiful. Before Salon Karma said they would help the only advice we had gotten was to cut the knot out (which was right on top of her head). Not at Salon Karma!! I have never written a bad review about a restaurant, person, place or thing. I requested an appointment for a Hair Cut and a Keratin Treatment. I might add costing over $400. The Hair Cut not so great the Keratin Treatment should last 4-6 months. I called and spoke to the owner at the 5 1/2 week fatter my Keratin treatment and told her it DID NOT TAKE, from day one to the 5 1/2 week mark each day my hair had more and more frizz and curl as if I never had a treatment. Flat ironing twice a day. The owner insinuated I did something wrong, as washing my hair to soon, getting it wet or using a sodium shampoo or swimming. Which was not the case! The owner said I should have called day one. I was out of state for 4 weeks. If should last 4-6 months. Refusing to even have me come in and look at my hair or compensate me in any way. Which tells me the salon does not stand behind their services or stylists , Very Poor Client, Stylist - Owner relationship Poor Business ethic. Sad you pay for services not rendered. Let me add I am a Hairstylist for many years, I owned my own salon, sold it and ran 15 salons for a company up North, before moving here. I am a Certified Coppola Keratin stylist. I have given countless Keratin treatments for over 18 years, along with having it done on my own hair, I have even given myself this treatment at times. I would say I know a little something about Keratin treatments, when a treatment didn't take and how to care for your hair after a Keratin Treatment. I feel very taken advantage by this owner. She told me my layers were too short in the front. Then she proceeded to chop the layers in the back just as short. She took off a full 1.5", all of my length. She assured me it would grow back just fine because hair in the back "grows faster". I also asked for a red-based color and she told me that was wrong and that I should have brown, so that's what she gave me. My hair is now short and brown instead of red brown and mid length as I requested. So I look like Marie decided I should look. She also took several cigarette breaks during the process and kept breathing smoke on me. Very unprofessional.

She's been a stylist at this location for about 7 years. She was kind enough to squeeze me in last minute and serviced me quickly. She was so sweet, professional and did an excellent job with my style that included a shampoo, condition, blow out, trim, braid down and clip in extensions and curl. The style came out better than I imaged and she worked fast! I was out in about 90 minutes. The salon is clean and cozy with a country home feel. Will be going back for all my extension style and more!

Alia was so patient with me on the phone as I waffled back and forth. I hired her without ever working with her. I live in NYC and would not be in Savannah again until the week of my wedding. I set up a hair trial for the Tuesday before my Friday wedding -- it was a big gamble! The salon did not have many if any photos at all of examples of their bridal work. I was having trouble finding a good stylist in Savannah who could do natural hair. I found them on Google and just decided to take a chance. The hair trial went very well. I showed up 15 minutes late but she was understanding. I went right to the chair without a wait. 2 hours later, I knew Alia was up to the job! We both decided to go sleek and chic with my hairstyle. She had no problem taming my curls. On the day of the wedding, she was completely supportive when I told her that I wanted her to tweak a few things about my trial hairstyle -- I wanted my hair not to be as pin straight because it became too slippery and fell out of the style very quickly. I knew I needed more body if I wanted my style to last me for 9-10 hours of wedding festivities. I also wanted to change the front of my hair to make it an elegant side swoop instead of a poof on top. She was on time and completely a calm and soothing presence. And most importantly, se pulled together a BEAUTIFUL hair style in less than 90 minutes. Everyone loved it. I felt so old Hollywood glam! Monique offered to fix my hair in Saturday, which she did and I love it but she charged me for the style and the hair rinse that she used to correct my messed up dye job...I refused to pay the rinse fee but I am utterly insulted that she would charge me for her mess up and not offer any sort of apology for the mess up.
