I recently had Raydoor sliding doors installed. I love them! They turned out better than even I hoped. Lila at Raydoor helped me make my selections. I have a studio apartment with an alcove, and wanted three sliding doors that could stack against the outer "wingwall" and then be pulled across the alcove to close off the space. My walls are white, and I wanted them to blend in, so I chose Sierra White with gloss white inserts. They are solid, and very well made, and truly add a beautiful architectural element to my apartment. In NYC, it's often hard to find a contractor to do minor renovations, so I was very happy that Raydoor has an "inhouse" contractor that can do the work, and that the contractor brought the doors right into to my apartment. Some sliding door places only have curbside delivery, which doesn't work for NYC. In NYC, you must get a permit from the Dept of Buildings for sliding doors as well as approval from co-op boards, so that made the entire process longer and more expensive, but Lila said I didn't need to sign the contract until I had the permit and approval in place. I really appreciated that. The installation of the doors themselves took 2 days. I'm so happy with my apartment now. And it's now considered a junior one bedroom, rather than a studio apartment, so for resell I imagine it will easily offset the cost of the doors. read more

After a long search for a solution to add a bedroom wall to my Manhattan apartment, I came across Raydoor products. Right when I saw the sliding wall systems I was interested because I loved the idea of having an elegant wall that would maintain the quality of the space, but that was also be able to become open for parties/gatherings. The flexibility is awesome. Raydoor did an excellent job from the very first interaction after I filled out their online form, to the completion of the project and working with their recommended contractor for the installation. Lila from Raydoor was great to work with and really made the entire process very easy and stress-free. The custom door system was completed and ready for installation in exactly the original timeframe they gave, and everything was correct, looks good, and has worked perfectly. After looking at a lot of possible solutions for my bedroom wall (including completely custom built stuff similar to Raydoor products), Raydoor offered the sweet spot of a customizable system at a fair price that doesn't take tons of planning/time/effort/coordination to get installed and built. That's a problem I was running into with other options. I'd certainly buy a Raydoor product again. I've had my sliding wall system for about a year, and so far it's held up great. Looking forward to getting many more years of use out of it and the value it's added to my apartment. read more

We got a Raydoor sliding wall installed in our apartment. The system allows us to keep our large living room intact but also gives us the option to create a separate bedroom when needed. The crew that installed the wall was extremely professional. Their work was meticulous and they cleaned up after themselves on a daily basis. We were impressed watching the mechanic cut through the plaster wall in a slow and very exact manner and while he was cutting, his wife was using a vacuum nozzle a few inches away to remove the dirt and dust as he cut. They also added a slot in the kitchen wall to accept the recessed doors so when the walls are open, they barely leave a trace and the size of the living room is not adversely affected at all. The doors look beautiful and change the whole look of the apartment. But, the best part of our purchase has been interaction with the staff and especially, Erlita. We had a challenging design need to fill: provide privacy to a waiting area in a garage studio. Our solution of a long string of shoji screens hinged together was really looking awful, and more important, not professional. We worked with our designer on the dimensions and selected a panel design from Raydoor. During the design process we had excellent help from the Design and Production/Delivery team. Once the doors arrived at our contractor's office, the real creative work began. Hanging the panels, also known as sliding doors, or barn doors, was possible because we had reinforced the beam above. There are many more details, but the end result startled us. They looked as though they had always been there. The entire space has a welcoming appearance, and we have been getting compliments from everyone who visits. While planning our recent apartment renovation, we were looking for a solution to divide an open floor plan to separate our living space from a new media room which would also be used as an occasional guest room. We searched online and found Raydoor as one of the places locally that we could visit in person.. We were impressed with the high quality of their products and the variety of woods offered. We liked the variety of ways they could function to separate a space. Their products were more expensive than we wanted to spend so it took some convincing by them that they were worth the money. At the start of our renovation design we suggested that our Architect investigate them for use as room dividing pocket doors and also to enclose a small computer/office area. It also took some convincing on our part to get him to come around to our suggestion. We liked working with the Raydoor people during this process. Erlita, their design consultant, was helpful to work with as she guided us through the design of the door details and finish choices. The contractor hired by our architect had not worked with Raydoor products before, but he found installing the doors to be quite simple. He made arrangements to visit the Raydoor showroom and they provided detailed installation instructions. He also later told us their engineers were available to answer his questions during installation. We are very pleased with the results and would recommend Raydoor to anyone thinking of including these unique partitions and sliding doors in their renovation plans. read more
