Fun and challenging course. Was in good condition. Really fast greens for a 7:40am tee time! The kids they have working the golf carts are super friendly! I've golfed all over and I've never had them pull up in a cart behind my car and load up my clubs! Great touch! Only downer was didn't see a cart girl until the 16th hole. read more

This is a good course with a very good layout. The course is in B+ condition (could be better). It is not a long course. It is very playable. For good players, you should play from the back tees. Average players or older players (like me) will find a nice challenge from the whites. The people at the course were friendly. read more

Great venue for a small wedding (~100 people). Staff was very friendly and bar and food served was awesome. We had chicken breast and stuffed tortellini with white sauce and it was delicious. They opted for a sundae bar and at 9:00 served a FRENCH fry bar (with tater tots). read more

We've played here twice in the last month and really enjoyed the course. There is not much water but there are quite a few forced carries over swamp lands and a few ravines. Many times the forced carries are 60 to 70 yards in front of the greens. Makes it tough for a duffer. This course is much better than Clearbrook for the money. Check them out on holidays as they tend to have specials. It was $40 with cart for 18 holes on July 4. It normally costs $45 for only 9 holes. read more

Beautiful course. Greens ran fast, lots of bunkers and Course management was required on a couple of holes. GPS carts were nice, but annoying at the same time. Cart shut off a couple times, gave us a time out for supposedly getting to close. Comfortable seats though and the clubhouse was helpful when we called. read more

It's a wonderful 18 holes course greens are nice. When I played they were rolling the greens and they were probably about a 10 but nice and firm. read more

So a friend and I went golfing Friday evening, teeing off about 530, to play 18. Obviously there wasn't enough time to do 18, but we'd try to get as much as we could. So at 8pm we got a message on the cart saying it's night and to bring the cart back. Well we were at the tee of the majestic ravine par 5 on the back 9 and wanted to play it. So we did. After the hole, we headed we back. On the way back, we ran into a clubhouse attendant who was extremely aggressive. He questioned us as to what we were trying to pull and then asked if we were drunk. He followed us back, but when he yelled something, we stopped. Then he aggressively asked what we were up to and why we went the long way back. We just said that was how we knew how to go and he said "Fu***ng unbelievable" and proceeded to follow us back to the clubhouse. Should we have turned back at 8pm? Probably. Should we have been talked down to, accused of being drunk, and cursed at? Absolutely not. Had we not been good, law abiding people, this confrontation could have turned ugly since the attendant was, in my opinion, looking for a fight. read more

Golf course is a good challenge of golf and the course was in great shape. Bar staff was friendly and they pack a good bag of ice and beers for the course. There are several holes (playing the course for the first time) that you can out drive the fairway and need to step down a club. The course is no where to close to target golf but does require some course management. Pro shop is modest and has an OK selection. read more

A nice course but the golf staff are not female friendly. I would suggest taking your business elsewhere.

I might give it 4.5 only because from white tees there are many holes you could not use the driver if you would expect to hit it 240, or longer only if you hit within a 10-20 yard wide area. But, that's not worth losing 0.5 star because the landing areas shorter off the tee are wide. Each hole is cut apart through the dense woods, giving you the feeling no one else is on the course. Greens were moderately fast after rain, and were reportedly fast the day before the heavy rain. They rolled very true. Service at the turn was friendly and quick with a huge freshly prepared hot dog on a pretzel style bun. Hot deal made it a great value. Retail price for greens fees maybe worth it only as a special vacation treat for an average consumer. read more

Wouldn't play here unless you are an excellent ball striker. Almost all holes are lined with tall grass and there are many fairly long forced carries. Nearly any mishit results in your ball being lost or in a hazard. Greens are very contoured so you need to be not just on the green but in the right place. Lots of local knowledge needed as you need to place many drives in just the right place and be in those right places on the greens. Oh yeah, bring your putter. read more

I will never play this course again even if it were a $35 round. The weather was perfect earlier this week, but the course left a LOT to be desired. I played this course two years ago and the greens had a disease; therefore, I decided to give it another shot. I would summarize the experience both times as over priced and forgettable. This course has tremendous potential, but is absolutely neglected. The rate is significantly higher than it should be considering the condition, as the crab grass and lack of attention to maintenance is disappointing at best. Fairways were patchy and had many horrible spots and bunkers had many small rocks in them. When a course calls itself a "Signature Arnold Palmer" golf course... I have much higher expectations. Some icing on the cake... you pay $75 for a round of golf and they want to charge you for range balls. Not exactly a customer pleasing policy. The layout offers challenging holes and it could be a very nice course if the grounds were maintained in even an adequate way. There's evidence of a lack of funds, which I assume to be the reason for the embarrassing condition. This is extremely unfortunate, as the potential really is there and the facilities are quite nice. I honestly feel bad for the staff, as I had a very positive experience with each staff member I encountered; however, the course doesn't measure up. Don't waste your time going to the Ravines... try HawksHead instead. A much better rate and wayyyy better golf course. read more

Played here 15+ times in the past three years. The oversight of play on the course no longer seems to exist. Pushed the "send message for player assistance" button 3 times and they sent no one. Slow play! Very poor course management. read more

I had my wedding at the Ravines this June, and I was very pleased with the place. I was planning long-distance and it was great to have them to help arrange everything. The place was a great value and the food was a hit (especially the pork medallions). Additionally, we had last minute rain and they smoothly transitioned my outdoor wedding into an inside space.
