It appears to no surprise that there's been a negative review for Raul's Garage. I'll be the second negative review. I took my vehicle into Raul's Garage hoping to save some money, thinking they at least know basic mechanics. To my surprise, after the job was done (which took over a month... after being told it would be a week to complete the job) I finally was called and was told to come pick up the vehicle. It was done. The estimate they quoted me was $1100 originally. When I picked up my vehicle, Raul gave me the run-down on the invoice. It rose to $2100 and explained to me that he gave me a break "here and there." I was shocked, but what could I do? I didn't have a written estimate originally which was my mistake, so he knew he had me. I paid the bill and drove away. Next thing I knew, without going into detail, I had to take my vehicle to two other shops to get all the work done that I just paid him for that was done incorrectly. It was to the point that the vehicle was a safety hazard. This guy should not be in business, he is not ASE certified. Claims he "read a lot of books" in place of being ASE certified. If you notice, if you drive by his business, you will see a lot of vehicles parked in the parking lot unfixed, backing up unrepaired. I feel really sorry for those customers. Another reason I'm writing this review, is it came to my attention that an important employee of his was arrested at a department store nearby the shop for theft. Goes to show the morale there. I recommend that if you need a vehicle repair, take your vehicle to a certified business that knows what they're doing. This guy doesn't have a clue nor do the uncertified mechanics that he has working for him, that to my knowledge don't even like working for him because they feel they are under paid. Good luck and shop elsewhere. read more
