Tagging along with my friends lead us to this food stand by Willow St. There was a line of people patiently waiting for their orders in this hot afternoon and despite the grueling heat, the community was buzzing with cheery chattering of people trying to figure out what they're gonna order. The stall is situated in a Hispanic community. The stall is medium in size and covered with pictures of food items they sell (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/raspados-arcoiris-de-andrade-san-jose?select=QQXUMPKvjSESL8mtU8G9AA#TyM4rczZX9hDb8gOmmW6Zg)(http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/raspados-arcoiris-de-andrade-san-jose?select=QQXUMPKvjSESL8mtU8G9AA#ovcHFq097zHzxziHz-lZQg). Everything is prepared right then and there. The assortment of iced drinks, fruit mixes and food are hand crafted behind the divider and the two ladies (presumably mother and daughter) are trying to keep up to speed on the orders. They use spices on most of their items too. (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/raspados-arcoiris-de-andrade-san-jose? select=QQXUMPKvjSESL8mtU8G9AA#7cKqx5bE2fZLPYUOewuz8w) +1 Honestly, me and a friend of mine were the only Asians in line but the ladies on the counter were so nice, even telling my friend that she can speak English and can help us out (definitely a +1) ...our other friends were also teaching us how to say our order in spanish so it was hilariously fun... Pronouncing the names of things we bought was a tongue twister but learning to say them was entertaining to the other customers lining up behind us, we all end up laughing...Anyway, we got: Mesquite ~ a cup of sweet corn kernels with butter, cheese and some chili sauce, a cup of fresas con crema (strawberries and cream) a cup of Mangoneada ~ mango with shaved ice and hot sauce Chicharon con queritos ~ a plate with one big puffy chip topped with pickled pork rinds, cabbage, tomatoes, cilantro, onions, and drizzled with sour cream and cheese and hot sauce. Food + 2 All of them were sooo good! I enjoyed sampling everything even if I know that I may end up having a heartburn (its not the food but my sensitive stomach). The spicy sauce would depend on your preference, and I was pleasantly baffled learning that iced mango drink is good with hot sauce!...I am like wow...this is great! The drinks and desserts are refreshing and a hit with the kids during the hot weather and the salad was kickass awesome! I like the texture of the rinds along with the crunchy cabbage, cilantro and tomatoes.. yumm! (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/raspados-arcoiris-de-andrade-san-jose?select=QQXUMPKvjSESL8mtU8G9AA#7cKqx5bE2fZLPYUOewuz8w) oh and by the way? everything was less than 20 bucks! Definitely coming back to try other stuff...with less hot sauce. The review is a star short because of the long wait for our food....but still worth it.

Taste so awesome jarito!!

All natural raspados. They are so good bought 3 today. :) The staff is super nice and the price for the raspados is really low for being made all natural. I heard they changed locations to story and white.

Super good raspados! Tried the vanilla, coconut, walnut and guava. They only take cash and the drinks are a little pricey but worth it!

Honestly it's about a 4.5 - and only because they don't have any refried beans as a side. For me…read morethe side dishes really accentuate the food, but if you're looking for tacos, this is one of the best! The meat is juicy and tasty. The tortillas are homemade. And the portions are bigger than most places that serve street tacos. I wish I could review more than the tacos and maybe one day I will, but the tacos are SO good, it's hard not to order them over and over. FOOD: Tacos!!! Homemade tortillas!!! I'm a sucker for a good homemade tortilla and these are GOOD. But more than that the selection of meats are tasty. The chicken was the weakest of them, but even that was good. It's just the al pastor was GREAT and the carne asada oh so tasty. SERVICE: Terrific. Packaged well, service is friendly and helpful, portions are nicely sized, and you will definitely go home happy. They make everything to order so it does take a little bit of time, but still wonderfully good. COST: Very reasonable for what you get. Very reasonable.

I have only tried their quesabirria special and it keeps me coming back. You get these gooey cheesy tacos and all these toppings, plus consommé, which is super tasty, and a free drink for all of $10. The lady is so nice and the wait is not long. This truck is now one of my go to's spots. Even though they are right on the street the cars passing by its not even loud or dusty, people even stop on the street to pick up or you see people in their cars enjoying the consommé.

Attended the San Jose Mini Night Market on Saturday evening. Was lucky to find free street parking…read morea block away on Third Street (free after 6pm on Saturdays, and all day Sunday). Free admission, no line for entry, advance tickets unnecessary, no ticket check at all. This food festival is almost identical to 626 and Foodieland, but only one fifth the size. It had all the same elements, just "mini" versions... a mini stage with live music, a mini sized area with games and prizes, a minimal number of merchandise vendors, minimal seating options (mostly near the stage), and even less tables, so hopefuly you like eating on your lap or standing up, and even with about 20 food trucks/tents and drink stands, it felt like minimal food offerings as well. Good news is this meant the crowds, lines, and waits were mini too, or non-existent. I went around 6pm, and I think the longest line I saw was about 7-8 people, and for many there was no line at all. Here's the food lineup for this Saturday when I visited (though this could change on Sunday, or during future events in October): Flor de Pineapple PennyLane Sweets & Treats 3 Brothers Kitchen Chicken Bros Honey Cones ABVE The Basics Grenade beverages (more creative options than just giant baby bottles) Uncle Papa's BBQ Churro stand Heluo Kitchen Bun Me Up (bao buns) Supreme Musubi Katna's Kitchen (authentic filipino food) Spy Family (tea & lemonade) Pupuseria Nathalia California's Crepes Nana Bear's Mini Donuts Wise Jun-Kombucha Mezcla (Columbian eats) Potato Hut Kimoy (chamoy korean-mexican fusion candy) By 6:30pm, several trucks started to run out of popular items, but there were still plenty of options. I only tried the shrimp quesadilla from ABVE The Basics, and chocolate donuts from Nana Bear's Mini Donuts. Both items were delish! Slightly overpriced as you would expect at this type of event, but the quality, ingredients, and service were more than satisfactory. They even put the food in takeout containers as requested. Had fun being a fatty... and you can too! For 2023, the San Jose event takes place downtown this weekend and returns for two different weekends in October.

We were happy to see another Panana Night Market at Ontario Mills…read more We came early during the day and there was plenty of parking, no line to get in. Admission was free and I rsvp'd for tickets online, got an email and done. You could also scan a QR code at the entrance for free admission. It was not too full, so there were almost no lines for the food vendors. We were able to try a few different ones and also found a place to sit and eat. We did enjoy the selection of food vendors, just wished that the market overall had been a little bigger. Had a good time and would definitely go again next time.

She took our order efficiently, and the wait time was only about 4 to 5 minutes before our food was ready. We also asked for an extra order of tacos to go, and she was thoughtful enough to keep them warm inside the truck until we were ready to leave. The service felt attentive and genuinely caring. Food I ordered the pastor and buche tacos, and they were incredibly flavorful. Each order came with a bean taco, grilled onions, jalapeños, radishes, and lime, which was a great touch. Everything tasted fresh and well seasoned. There were salsa bottles available to grab so we could add as much as we wanted ourselves. Every bite was satisfying, and the tacos really stood out. Ambiance It is a classic taco stand setup. There is very limited seating, but we ate outside by the truck and were still comfortable. The casual street food vibe added to the experience, and it felt relaxed and welcoming despite the small space. Overall, this taco stand delivers great service and delicious food. I would definitely come here again.

It's located in a parking lot right by the Whole Foods on Almaden Expy. Upon arriving, we were greeted warmly by a woman who gave a brief rundown of the menu and how to order. They accepted Zelle as a payment method which was a plus! We ordered a variety of tacos and one burrito and only waited about 10-15 min for our order. I was surprised to see how many people were there esp for a late night weekday dinner so the short wait for our food was appreciated! Onto the tacos ($4 ea): I tried the al pastor, carne asada, and lengua. The pastor was DELICIOUS and marinated perfectly. The carne asada didn't hit as much as the pastor did, but the lengua was also good too. They're generous with the meats here which was nice! I liked that everything was priced fairly especially considering how expensive things have been getting. The service was great so will definitely be finding myself back :)
