This place is awesome! Good for group and staffs are friendly. The food itself is really really good. Generous size. We tried pasta and pizza. And for spicy lovers, ask for green chilli paste. Amazingly good taste!

A nice place to have a decent meal without breaking the budget. The desserts are pretty good too! A taste of their Nutella Pizza is a must.

The only things I could fault: - As a university student, I struggled to find a lot of items that were affordable. The place is considered to be very expensive. However, it is expected - the presentation of the restaurant basically gives this away. - I remember one dish that's as absolutely not worth the price. This was the lamb skewers- Very expensive for such a small serving. Make sure that if you plan to dine in here that you wear fancy clothes

They have 2 seating times on weekends so make sure you book or you're not going to find a free table. I had high hopes for this place and it delivered. Great atmosphere and great Italian service. I loved how the menu was so different from other Italian places I've been to. That being said they have a very extensive menu which made it difficult to choose from. My only complaint would be that our pizza entree was really salty and my duck ragu was a tad salty but the rest of my table loved their choices. The waiter recommended the linguine con salsiccie e porcini and it was a fabulous recommendation. For anyone as obsessed with truffle as I am, this is definitely the dish for you! There will definitely have to be a trip back for round 2!

The food is very fresh and well presented. There is plenty of flavour and there is a good range of food and prices. Although we were there for lunch this time we picked a variety of food from the menu. I loved the entree to share, oil soaked cooked black olives. This goes very well with their crispy garlic bread. We each had a different main. Mine was the seafood marinara. I was taken back by the amount of seafood in the dish and how large the servings were. This dish could feed a family. Everyone was happy with their food and the drinks were readily on supply. It was a very hot day and the staff kept supplying us with cold water. Now I could say this was an excellent but on a vey hot day their air conditioning was not coping very well. Just something to be aware of. The staff were excellent!! This little place also does a breakfast menu and as I walked past today the waiter came up full of smiles. I love when you re visit a place and the waiter remembers your name. He was front of house for the business and he has my vote to visit again....( oh am I going red!) We'll see next time when I have a meal there for one! ha

Our starters were garlic crust pizza and bruschetta. We had four children as part of our group and they liked the pizza. The children's serve of spaghetti bolognese was generous and devoured. The pasta in the dishes was al dente and the sauces were good. The pizza toppings were interesting and we were happy to take the leftovers home. Affogato was served with liqueur as it should. The deep fried doughnuts are not sfinchi but little thumbnail sized. They are served with chocolate and gelato. You don't have to be a kid to make an enjoyable mess eating it. There is a full bar but you can BYO for $5.50 per bottle. We got value with jugs of juice and soft drink. The service was good despite the place being packed. It is a very noisy restaurant. They have tried putting some sound abatement in the ceiling but it really doesn't cut down on much noise. Most tables were large and either had kids or just plain noisy speakers so it is a difficult job keeping the noise down. My advice? just be prepared as the food is good and worth a try. No problems with parking as this is a little shopping centre with two levels and there are side streets.

I get that dress codes and appropriate behaviour is expected and courteous in fancier joints but please, have a little faith that your customers understand social conventions rather than spelling it out like we're idiots. Mezza Via however has rules not for the customer but for themselves. And what a testament that is to their mission for greatness! Only the finest Italian "00" flour. Only Italian whole peeled tomatoes. Only Italian Fior Di Latte and Buffalo Mozzarella. All pizzas must be hand-stretched to order. (no rolling pins or dough rollers) No pizza will ever be pre-made. All pizza makers must be trained in Italian technique. And it pays off in the way of delightfully thin and crusty pizza bases with fluffy crusts. Mezza Via sticks to the Italian tradition of doing things simply but well, not overloading their pizzas with mounds of toppings. The Margherita DOP is without a doubt the best I've tasted outside of Italy, and the only place where the buffalo mozzarella hasn't been overcooked to the point where it's yellow and rubbery and you can no longer tell that it's fresh mozzarella. No, it's still white and moist and glorious! The table next to us almost had me in fits of jealousy when I saw their 2 metre pizza get carried to their table like a roman emperor. It looked beautifully cooked with nary a soggy crust in sight, which can be all too commonplace in other pizzerias that serve long pizzas and fail in the mammoth task of cooking such a large pizza properly. I'll be back again with a larger group and a stretchier pants.
