This was my second year attending the Calgary Stampede, and my only complaint about Rasa Palladium is that I didn't know it existed last year!
We had a booth at the Stampede and were working 13-hour shifts, and some nights it was nearly impossible to get an Uber afterward. We ended up stopping at Rasa Palladium to wait, and it quickly became one of the absolute highlights of our entire trip. Once we found it, we went back almost every night.
Ahmed and his entire team were incredible. The chefs, bartenders, servers--everyone. I travel frequently and eat at restaurants all over the place, and I have genuinely never experienced hospitality like this. They made us feel like family from the moment we walked in. Everyone was unbelievably kind, appreciative, welcoming, and conversational. The entire experience was truly out of this world.
The food was absolutely epic. They introduced us to different foods, drinks, and flavors inspired by where they're from, and everything was incredible. I had an Old Fashioned made with saffron that completely changed my opinion of Old Fashioneds--and I already loved them!
They also have an upstairs rooftop deck where you can sit and watch the Calgary Stampede fireworks. The view was exceptional, the atmosphere was perfect, and the entire vibe was amazing.
I honestly cannot say enough about how blown away we were. I would give Rasa Palladium 10 stars if I could. Whether you're visiting Calgary during the Stampede or at any other time of year, I highly recommend stopping in for delicious Indian food, incredible drinks, and an unforgettable experience with some of the nicest and most wonderful people I have ever met.
I cannot wait to come back. I may honestly return to Calgary outside of the Stampede just so I can stop in and say hello! read more
