Ok yelpers...tired of waiting for a reservation at Berns and want to stay closer to Wesley Chapel area?? This new restaurant is a wonderful option! It is located inside the Saddlebrook resort and has been under construction forever...but is finally open and we had the pleasure to dine there and loved our incredible experience! WOW is all I can say about my steak! I ordered the filet and cannot compliment it enough! It was cooked perfectly and the flavor was amazing. It cut like butter! We ordered the following and highly recommend: Warm Parker rolls Ribeye Filet Mashed potatoes Asparagus (Side options are limited and served family style) We also enjoyed dessert which was Bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. Our Server Marie was excellent, helpful and super friendly. We will definitely be back many times to come and bringing friends and family.

We came for Christmas Eve and really enjoyed our evening! Our service was excellent, and the food was so flavorful. We had a mixture of fish, steak, and pork and everything was delicious. I'd like to go back to check out the full menu!

Rare 1981 inside the iconic Saddlebrook Resort is an absolute gem. From the moment the dishes hit the table, you can feel the intention, craftsmanship, and passion behind every plate. The menu is refined yet inviting, perfectly balancing elevated steakhouse classics with thoughtful, modern touches. Every bite was beautifully executed, from the perfectly cooked steaks to the stunning seafood and sides that clearly weren't an afterthought. The atmosphere is warm, elegant, and timeless, the kind of place that feels special without being intimidating. Rare 1981 honors Saddlebrook's legacy while bringing a fresh, exciting energy to the resort. Chef Mark came to the table to personally check if my steak was cooked correctly and all I could say was that it was the best I had ever had especially in the Tampa area. Rare 1981 isn't just a meal, it's an experience, and one that sets a new standard for dining at Saddlebrook. A must-visit for locals and destination diners alike. We'll definitely be back.

First visit... Finally! This place is hidden way back by the sports complex. They have a lot of…read moreadult beverages to choose from including hard liquor. For example they offer three different kinds of vodka with Tito's being one of them. It's on the fourth floor of the hotel with a view of the western sky for sunsets along with the sports fields. We kiddingly said parents could sit up here with alcohol in hand and cheer on their kids way below on the field. Seating: inside they have bar seating with about seven chairs. There is a single TV at the far left of the bar (see pic), so this is not ideal to watch sports on TV. No sound or closed caption. Outside it is just plain hot this time of year until the sun goes down. They have fans but for some reason they weren't on and the temp was 95. There were a couple people sitting outside but they didn't last long. Around sunset I'm sure this is the place to be. There are multiple sofas and areas to sit outside. Also a large Jenga stacking block game is available to play. There are at least two larger TVs outside. The parking lot indicates parking should be paid for. There are numerous signs with giant QR codes to do this. Since we were only there for an hour to grab a single drink we didn't pay for parking. When there are large tournaments going on at the neighboring sports complex I'm sure the hotel does a better job at patrolling who parks at the hotel and maybe then expects parking to be paid for. Drinks: happy hour is from 5p (when they open) to 7p. There is no happy hour menu (this would be a suggestion to make things easier on both the bartender and the customer). We were there at happy hour so took advantage of $8 white sangria and $8 cranberry with house vodka. They also give 10% off to locals. They normally have cards they provide for future use, but the bartender indicated they ran out and were on order. Food: There is a few food choices, including a smash burger and appetizers. They also had a couple cake slices on special. We didn't eat so can't speak to quality or time before ready. Service was average. There was only one bartender at 5:30p on a Wednesday with no sports going on at the complex. We got our drinks fairly quickly. They were tasty but served in small cocktail glasses and not much alcohol. For happy hour discounted pricing this is commonplace. I will be back to try it again, hopefully for a sunset this time!

She brought our beautiful Lavender Lemon Drop drinks outside to us where we enjoyed the view. She is so sweet and really cares about her customers. We will definitely be back.

The staff, and especially our server Dani B were wonderful and very accommodating. We ordered appetizers off of the new menu to start with and a few cocktails. The pimento croquettes with bacon jam. were absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. We also ordered the focaccia bread with black garlic whipped ricotta. It was a crowdpleaser for sure. Everybody loved it. Our only slight complaint/suggestion was the portion size of the pimento croquettes. We had a party of five at the table, and the appetizer was only four croquettes. Would have been nice if everybody could have one without having to split them for everybody at the table to have one. It would be nice at the time of ordering appetizers for them to let us know how many came on the plate maybe even offer a slight up charge to add a fifth one or sixth one depending on the size of the party at the table. But that was the only minor disappointment. They were still one of the best appetizers we've had in a while! Everybody decided on the burgers for their meal. A couple ordered the Boujie burger, and the others the lampshade Smashburger with bacon. Hands down one of the best burgers we've had in a while top-notch absolutely delicious. And everybody almost loved the fries just as much. They are fantastic the perfect combination. If you are in the area or looking for a absolutely delicious meal, you won't be disappointed with the living room as your choice. We will definitely be back to explore the rest of the new menu.
