She made me feel extremely comfortable, informed about the process, while being very professional. Initially it can be a bit confusing finding the place, but look for the French Quarter Salon. It's a grand looking place in the middle of 2920 with a pretty little body of water in front. There's other empty looking plazas in front but take a drive all the way behind those, and you'll find a parking lot, to park by the French Quarter Salon. This place is extremely huge, and seems like a building filled with beauty various treatment businesses, so don't get too confused and just ask the ladies in front where to go. I got a bit confused and almost ended up going up the stairs, but decided to save myself possible embarrassment and just asked. The women at the front directed me on how to contact Monique for my appointment while I waited in the lobby. As for the entire experience, Monique gave me a sit down of the products she used, some useful tips, and answered any questions I had. While being waxed, she was very informative about what was going on as well as entertaining! It's weird to say, but I actually enjoyed coming here to get waxed. There was lots of conversation that helped me get my mind off of what was going on, and I actually felt little to no pain during the whole process. Nothing bad to comment on at all. When I got to the room, she asked no questions or made any small talk- she just started waxing my face. Helen, the owner, also made remarks such as," Your skin is very thin," and," Your skin is very red and sensitive," and yet kept waxing my face. She also asked me if it was burning, and I said yes, and yet, kept going. I don't get my eyebrows waxed often, but felt a little stinging sensation and slight burning- which I assumed was normal (my eyebrow hairs are literally being pulled out), and at the time my skin looked a little red. About an hour later the top layer of my skin was burned off, turned a redder color and stings really bad.

And I said I wanted to have more of a cat eye which means just longer lashes on the ends. What I got is absolutely ugly. They are too short and they are chunky. I tried telling her that it wasn't what I asked for. She kept saying my lashes were wet so it will look different when they dry. I do not know if they can fix it because I was dismissed. She also did not tell me the price until the end and that could be my fault for not asking but I assumed it would not cost more than $120. I paid $140!! I highly disappointed and am upset because I have a trip in a few days and I hate them so much.
