BEWARE. I was coming to Lux brows every so often for a full face thread. It was around $50ish. The last time I came. They did not notify me on this "NEW policy" but wanted to charge me $12.99 for eye brows ON TOP of a full face thread which is $50 something. I questioned it the lady said, "oh it's our new policy. I'll take it off this one time but next time that's the price." There won't be a next time. I'm all for supporting small businesses but I do not support price gouging. I found a new lady across the street having a special for a full face for $22.00. Normally hers are $35 with simple search on Groupon. Did a fantastic & that's INCLUDED my eyes. Extremely Disappointed - Misled About Service This place has absolutely no integrity. I called twice before booking an appointment to confirm that they offer nanoblading, not microblading. I was very specific and made it clear I did not want microblading. Both times, I was assured they provide nanoblading. During the consultation, I emphasized again what I wanted. The technician seemed confident, so I trusted the process. However, during the procedure, I grew skeptical--she applied an excessive amount of pigment, which felt off. After doing my own research, it became clear that what I received was not nanoblading at all. I feel completely misled. Now, my eyebrows look like they've been tinted with color, and I'm extremely frustrated. I did my micro blading mixed with shading (called combre brows apparently). I did not know what to expect and had never had it done before. They were very reassuring and the person who did my brows had a lot of experience! I think she did a great job of making them look natural and defined. If you want a natural, beautifully polished look, I'd say definitely try here! I was told I'd need a touch up in one month, so I'm aware they will fade slightly, but I've attached a picture of how they looked immediately after. This service at this place is terrible. Microblading is average at best- it honestly just looks like a tattoo, no individual hair details. The owner tried to renegotiate and omit services once it was already paid for (microblading plus eyeliner). When I pressed that I wanted the agreed upon service that I paid for, and she delayed completing it. I felt trapped. Alterations use the cheapest threads and they don't do a great job. Other services are offered but not worth the hassle to even try. read more

Don't ever get a henna tattoo here!!!  I've had many henna tattoos before at a different location and have never had this experience. Can't recall the lady's name who did the work today but, she did a terrible job. She asked for a picture of what I wanted so I found something simple on Google. She totally messed it up. She was so concerned with getting me out of there she did a complete rush job. I voiced my dislike for part of it so she wiped it and drew a half-assed flower over it. I was irritated and ready to go by then. Again, I told her I didn't like it at the register but, I still paid. She didn't offer partial compensation or anything. I'll never go back to this location. TERRIBLE SERVICE!! Side note: 2 black women there, our experience. My service was completely rushed. The other black woman had to wait until 3 other ppl were serviced that came after her. I went to get my eyebrows done. And let me tell you, I am very picky when it comes to doing my eyebrows. When I entered the shop I was very happy with how clean the place is, also they have a cute little boutique where they sell handmade stuff from jewelry, soap and more. When the girl started to thread my eyebrows I have noticed that she used a neck strap thing so that the thread is not in her mouth. Using the neck strap is very hygiene. It was the first time I've ever seen that so I was very impressed! Also they have membership discount prices which is cool, I don't think other places do that. If I was staying in Texas for longer than 3 months I would definitely get a membership with Lux Brows. They are clean, hygiene, and professional. If I could be a 0 star I would. So unprofessional how they lie to your face. I asked for a specific person and they told me that it was her. Then I heard another customer say the name of the person that I requested as she was leaving and realized that the person that just started doing my eyebrows was not the one I asked for. When I asked her why she lied she say well I'm her assistant.. so I said I ask you if that was your name and you bluntly said yes. She then said oh well she is injured from her shoulder that's why i helped you. I said you never told me this and you pretended to be her. I like getting my eyebrows done here but ONLY with Lakshmi. I make sure I call to check that Lakshmi is working or I make an appointment with her. She always makes sure that my eyebrows are properly shaped and it is cleaned the way I want to. I like how she does not use her mouth to cut her thread but she uses a thread cutter which to me is sanitary. I do recommend this place only if you get your eyebrows threaded with Lakshmi. I also recommend purchasing any of her specials if she is offering any at the time of your visit. read more

I had a horrible experience today. I was looking for someone to do my refill for my lashes because the girl that does it for me is on maternity leave elsewhere. I called this place during the week and asked if they used mink lashes and i was told yes so i booked an appt. When i get there they tell me they only use cluster mink lashes. I told them that would not work because they would be too heavy for my real lashes. So she came back and said it would not be a problem they would use single ones. WELL THEY DID NOT!!! They were super clumpy and when she brushed them 2 clusters fell out. She cut them and they are now straight not curled up. Omg! I was super annoyed and asked for the manager owner and no one higher up was there. I asked for the ladies license that did my lashes and they brought me the license of someone else. They finally admitted she didn't have a license and had just arrived from Pakistan a few weeks ago. I was furious. I told them I would be filing a complaint with the Cosmetology board and the state. It is illegal to do lashes without a license. Your eyes and vision are sensitive no one should be operating without it. Very unprofessional place. Needless to say I reached out to my girl and she is going to fix them on Monday. Do not go here if you value your eyesight. They use you as a dummy for people with no license or experience. read more

Check the license of each individual as they have personnel without a license charging you full price while also using $3 products you can get at Sally's. A total rip off, never coming back!
