Alba and Shauna were great, very friendly and kept everyone comfortable and safe. Would recommend to anyone looking for and outdoor adventure. Dress to swim!

One of our fearless leaders, Alba. Like the other two, she was skilled, helpful, friendly and patient.

This was such a unique experience. Most of our group had never rappelled before but the patient and fun staff taught us all. The routes were challenging but doable. Be prepared to get wet. It was well worth the drive to such a beautiful location. I had wanted to Zipline and will do so another time but was glad to have this fun adventure. Alba, Shauna, and Deacon were the best!

Very safe, really fun, definitely a bit scary going over but how often can you say you rappelled over a waterfall in Maui??? Our guides Mike & Shauna were amazing

This was one of the coolest things we have ever done and we have done a lot of things. You have three different places you repel down. The first one is more of a training and preparation. The other two are the reasons to do this. The 1st waterfall you repel alongside the falls. At the bottom you are given the option to jump in the water. The jump in is fun but I will tell you the water is a little chilly. The 2nd waterfall you traverse down through the falls The two gals Alba and Abbie were amazing giving instruction and spunk to the activity. They are totally cool people. I was glad they prepped us for the hike back up. Take a deep breath and get ready for some elevation.

The safety training you get simplifies what at first seems impossible. @Abbie-McCarthy-1 & @Ropheka-Gershom were EXCELLENT!

Ropheka Gershom and Abbie McCarthy were AMAZING! They make the entire experience easy, safe and FUN! This is one of those "Bucket List" things you want to do and it was defiantly something I want to do again! The part when we got to go down INSIDE THE WATERFALL was the best! This is a great "confidence booster" as what seems impossible in life is not if you learn for pros like you'll find here at Rappel Maui. I'll be back for sure!!! MAHALO!

These ladies are amazing, our tour guides Sam and Ropheka are the best. We were visiting from LA for my birthday. Everything from the checking experience to the checking out was absolutely great. Sam and Ropheka are beyond knowledgeable with the ropes. we were first timers and let me tell you they make you feel like you a pro :) . i highly recommend Rappel Maui, this is a must if you go to Maui!! I give them 10 stars :D Thank you Sam and Ropheka for making our experience unforgettable!

This was an absolute amazing experience!!! Can only recommend to everyone going to Maui to do the rappelling!! SO exhilarating!!!! Our guides Shauna and Elena were the best!! Not only did they make us feel super safe, but they were very knowledgable and so much fun!!! It really was the highlight of our week. Just AMAZING!!!!! Go do it!!!

It's a drive to get to but it is a must do. My son and I had a blast. First time getting to rappel down actual waterfalls. Our guides were excellent and well experienced. The scenery is spectacular.

In A Nutshell: -Rappel Maui is a fun activity you can do in a small group of family/friends. -The location is about 1/4 of the way on the Road to Hana co-located at the Garden of Eden Arboretum. -Parking was plentiful & easy. -Your two guides will meet you at the parking lot & walk you to get your gear fitted & store any belongings. -Our guides, Naomi & Deacon were very professional, cool & nice. -You will rappel off of a total of three different areas: the first is an easy practice/familiarization cliff, the second and third rappels are both waterfalls that drop down into small ponds. -If you don't have any experience it's okay you will learn very fast. -It's pretty rewarding to be able to rappel down into two different waterfall/ponds on a hot day in Hawaii. Overall, the entire experience lasts about 3 hours.

A little congratulations kiss under the falls.

This was a unique adventure on Maui. My wife and I got to see and experience spectacular vistas along with the adrenaline rush of repelling down 2 private water falls. The guides, Naomi and Jack, were fun, encouraging and informative. Not only did they make sure we were safe but they also knew tons of interesting facts about the island. It was well worth the money and avoided the usual tourist spots.

Super fun way to spend the morning! Our guides Elena and Shauna were knowledgeable, entertaining, and took good care of us all. Bug spray was provided, waters, and a small snack. Highly recommend.

This was one of our favorite activities we did in Maui!! Thank you Sam and Abbie for your expert instruction and guidance - you made it fun and safe for all!! I wasn't so sure about this initially, but my kids really wanted to do it. The expert instruction made us all feel comfortable right away even though most of us didn't have rappelling experience. And, the scenery is fantastic! I highly recommend this adventure to anyone that wants to do something a little bit different.

    Brian rappelling in waterfall. Shaka!

Naomi and Ali showed us an adventure of a lifetime! Shawna showed up and captured this adventure for us! This was the most epic thing I have done! Thank you ladies for giving us such a great experience! I highly recommend and would do it again! Waterfall Rappelling is the best way to see a waterfall in the rainforest! Best part of the Hana highway for sure! The enemy of these ladies was amazing. All the encouragement and cheering was on point! Thank you ladies!!

I'm an athletic kinda girl, and I would say this trail is maybe a 2/5 in terms of difficulty. (I'd give it a 1, but it has some incline, so I gave it a 2.) My boyfriend is a homebody and rarely hikes, and he gave it a 3/5 in terms of difficulty. One thing to note: The drive to get here is a DOOZY. I did thee Road to Hana the last time I was in Maui, and it freaked me out so much that we tried going around the south side of the island this time. That was also very scary. Unless you are prepared for very narrow roads (I'm talking one lane with traffic going both ways) on a cliff, sometimes with drops straight into the ocean, don't do it. If you are okay with that, do the Road to Hana for the more scenic drive. The southern drive was less scenic, and probably just as scary.

The trail didn't seem as magical, maintained or green as I remember the 1st time. Maybe a different time of year? More mosquitoes as well. Still, it was pleasant and glad we went. We saw a lot of people bringing infants in carriers and really small kids. This is a serious hike. I would say maybe 7 + in age if you are bringing kids. You may make it part of the way, but it will take you an hour to get to the bamboo forest at least and there are a lot of weird wide steps. Bring water, snacks, hiking stick and bug spray.

Pictures will never do this waterfall justice, and it should be included in anyone's Road to Hana journey. To get here, you'll have to do the Road to Hana, and Haleakalā National Park is about 12 miles past the town of Hana. Once there, Waimoku Falls is at the end of the Pipiwai Trail - a 4 mile round-trip moderate hike. That being said, the trail is well-maintained and was not a difficult hike at all. Once you get to Waimoku Falls, it's totally worth it to take some time to just sit and enjoy it. It's such a peaceful and beautiful area to relax and take in all that nature is offering. We visited both the Kīpahulu and Summit districts of Haleakalā, and the Pipiwai Trail w/ Waimoku Falls was one of my top two experiences in the park. This 400-foot waterfall is just breathtaking. We left around 8am from Hana to do this hike, even with a 9 and 11 year old and with many, many, many stops because I threw out my back four days before, we still managed to get to the falls and return by 2pm (I'm sure it would have only taken around 2 hours if I didn't have to stop so much). Bring lots of bug spray (the spray we did at the car had all sweated off), water and snacks to enjoy the falls once you get there. There is a stopping point where you can't go directly underneath the falls, but the streams around them provide great picnic areas. Make sure to pack out what you pack in. Definitely a great way to end your road to Hana trip before you head back.

I have been lucky enough to witness a couple of sunrises in this park and all of them have been unique, mouth dropping gorgeous. I highly recommend. Sunsets are epic as well but there is something about the anticipation of patiently waiting for the sun to rise out here that is otherworldly. Times have changed with a reservation being required now to attend a sunrise (3am - 7am). Next it can take up to two hours to get here if you are staying in Lahaina. This means you are getting up extremely early to arrive for sunrise, but you won't regret it. You pass through the towns of Kahului, Paia, and Makawao before you begin your ascension to the summit on the windy Crater Road. Be sure to dress warmly for sunrise. Dress in layers and wear a beanie too if your ears get cold. During and after sunrise the crater is the most clear, but it does often fill up with clouds especially late mornings. Hiking here is very challenging since you are sitting at 10,023 feet at the summit and you just came from sea level. We did love every minute of our trek, especially hiking out to the cinder cones. This volcano is not considered extinct but still active. It has erupted at least ten times in the last thousand years. Due to its history, scientists still monitor it today. One of the unique plants that live here is the stunning Silversword plant. This plant only blooms once in its life and can only be found here. This is one of the best ways to start your day on Maui.

It is quite a long and winding road heading up and patience really helps. I used the turnouts as needed to let the tailgaters and speeders go by. We went up on a cloudy day so much of the island view wasn't there but the thin air at the top was crisp and clean and had some magnification factor. The short hike from the visitors center near the summit is easy and only .2 miles and it gives a good view of the crater. I hiked down the Shifting Sands Trail for a short distance just to be down in the crater a bit. It's easy to get shortness of breath so be aware that it a steep climb back uphill on this trail. The views at the summit observation deck are awesome, you can see the peaks on the big island poking up through the clouds. There are silver sword plants everywhere up there looking very healthy and happy to be growing out of nothing but lava rock and sand. No blossoms on this trip though.
