I like the bowling, but it's pretty straightforward. Going on a weekend you need to expect to wait for an alley. Luckily it's never been as long as they say. Never waited more than a half hour. The bar is overpriced for food. It's not great food it's a bowling alley, I'm not expecting gourmet food! I like the pint of bacon (nothing better than 8 slices of bacon in a pint glass). A lot of people are complaining about tournaments, which does happen, so if going call first! read more

Our family really enjoys Rapids Bowling . This is a clean and well kept bowling alley . Staff are cordial and lanes are well kept . Bathrooms are clean . I also enjoy the pub food - particularly the Buffalo Cauliflower , Burgers and Fries . Food can take a bit of time to come out so keep that in mind but otherwise we always look forward to bowling at The Rapids . read more

Took kids on a rainy day and they had a great time. Staff was very friendly and helpful with getting the kids setup. Very accommodating. Bar/restaurant was not open because it was early in the day but staff brought out pizza for a dollar slice...that was very welcoming as kids were getting hungry. There are also vending machines. Lively atmosphere, other patrons were very polite and everyone seemed to be having a nice timesuper clean, reasonable rates...would recommend this bowling alley for families. Excellent place to take the family out to bowl. Came for one game and stayed and played three. Safe, clean and inexpensive. The folks were friendly and attentive. We used 2 lanes one with bumpers and one without bumpers the staff were all super nice to the kids( they are ages 5-13) helped them with lanes shoes pop and snacks, nice fun family time. I don't think I've ever come here to play the lanes but I've definitely came here to have a few drinks at the bar, and if your looking for a great crowd and friendly people, I'd come here! Saturday nights they have karaoke. There's a lot of regular karaoke singers who come every week and sing the same song, but it's a lot of fun. The little menu that they do offer is inviting, appetizers - the pretzels with cheese are my favorite - , they also have subs, wings, chicken fingers. I ended up taking a half tray of pizza for takeout last time. It was OK, nothing special, I felt like the dough itself could have been cooked a little bit more. Holy toppings! They smother them on top, which could also be the reason the dough wasn't cooked enough. I also didn't realize it was going to be that big! Definitely can share share share!! The most the merrier!! Decent prices. Go before 5 and get 4 games of bowling and 2 shoe rentals for $21. Not sure if it was usual but the place was dead today. The foyer reeked of smoke so I thought it would be crowded but no one was there except a man coming from the kitchen in a black apron smoking, and a woman behind the desk. Parking is wherever; there are no lines. Cute animated shorts as usual there, nothing special. Oh, and anyone past puberty has to bowl with 12 lb+ balls as the rest are held for kids but I usually use 8-10 lbs so I kinda wasted my money on gutter balls today. Oh well. I'm not a big bowler by any means. You'll find me at a bowling alley a few times a year, so I don't have too much to compare this place to. Let me say right of the bat that my bowling experience here was probably a solid four-star expensive: inexpensive, friendly staff and a fun night. So why the three stars? Well, The food here was two-stars at best, thus the overall 3 star rating. The bowling here is pretty straight forward. You drive up, park (check behind the building for extra spots if the lot seems full, it actually curves around) and go up to the counter and pay the nice man for your night of bowling debauchery (ahem). For the two of us, it was $8 including shoe rental for 3 games (and 50 cents per additional game); pretty damn cheap and awesome. The shoes were a little big and smelled a little funny, but I put them on anyway and didn't give it another thought (until now). We were assigned our lane, put our names into the computer and bowled our hearts away...that is until our lane broke down. This happens, so it's not really a big deal -- went to talk to the man at the counter and he simply moved us and our scores to the lane over. Awesome. The food at the bar though -- euch. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Wrap and my girlfriend ordered a veggie wrap. We asked for onion rings instead of chips. The food came out after fifteen minutes and though the onion rings were delightful, the Buffalo Chicken wrap tasted bland and uninspired. The meat wasn't even crispy and it tasted as if it was cooked and/or microwaved from a Tyson chicken package. Her veggie wrap also taste if it was a mix of some canned veggies tossed together. Our bill for the two wraps and drink came to about $22. So I would recommend coming here if you're looking to bowl, but if you want some quality food; look elsewhere. read more

Went to family night had to wait 40 min for a lane because they decide to hold a promo on the same night as league night. So decided to wait in the grungy bar and waited the entire 40 min without getting served yet the bartender passed us several times so he could go out front to send text messages. The prices were a steal, we got a mountain of food for ten dollars, and pitchers of beer were only 8.75! None of us are incredible bowlers but we had a lot of fun and didn't have to spend so much money. As long as you go after league bowling its worth it. read more

Stayed in the hotel next door and wandered over to the bowling alley for a late dinner and some beer. Typical bar menu offerings, but the food is anything but bar food! Simply put, the chicken tenders are AMAZING!!! Nothing from the freezer about these babies! They are fresh chicken breast pieces that are hand battered and fried. They taste like something that came from your own kitchen, not the backside of a bowling alley! We didn't bowl, but hung out in the bar, enjoyed a few beers and some food and Karaoke!! The KJ was wonderful! The song selection was huge, the talent ranged from typical bowling alley crooners to possible contestants to "The Voice", and everything in between! But the crowd cheered for everyone like they were The Voice participants, and everyone had multiple chances to sing. We wish we could transport this place to our hometown so we could make it a part of our regular Saturday night routine! Thanks for the great time! read more

Very clean, the counter ladies are very welcoming and friendly. My girlfriend and I went to bowl and have a few drinks; we had a great time enjoyed some tasty food (for bowling alley food) it's very good. And overall I didn't spend much at all. Places like this really need to either update their recorded messages or Facebook sites etc with special events. 2 weeks ago we called and got the recording that they had open bowling on a Sunday, set up a play date for kids only to find out that a tournament was going on and lanes weren't available. Tonight we got our 6 year old all excited to go bowling after calling and hearing there was open bowling from 3pm to 11pm. We arrived around 615 to a full lot and a tournament going on. Either get rid of your prerecorded messages or update your social media sites. It is not fun to disappoint kids. The few times we have been there have been decent but wasting 30 minutes to be disappointed we will probably limit the amount of time we even try this alley. read more

A dump... that is how I have described this place to my wife before we went. Insert foot in mouth, they have made some major improvements since I was younger. Wow was the first word that came out of my mouth when we went in. It must have taken a lot of renovations, but they were worth it. It was bright and shiny. It was clean and smelled nicer. I honestly started to question if I was remembering the right place. They have plenty of lanes, a decent bar, a video game area and the customer service wasn't bad. The run a great family night special on Friday: 2 hours of bowling, shoe rental, a 1/2 tray of 1 topping pizza and a pitcher of pop for $40. The food is what you can expect from most bowling alleys, which to me was the only downfall here. Not bad, but not particularly good either. With so many alley bars slowly stepping up their food games, the food here won't turn heads. I will say I was happy that they use cup-char pepperoni on their pizza, I don't know why everywhere doesn't use cup-char it instantly makes the pizza better Still a great value for the price, I will be back and I would definitely recommend to others. read more

Went for a family fun night. Granted I did not have high expectations, driving by this place weekly and never noticing, I didn't think it would stand out after our visit. Pleasantly surprised, my crew had a great time, lanes were fine, even equipped with electronic bumpers. The pizza was not amazing or anything but right around where I expected, if not better than. I wouldn't necessarily pass up the other alleys closer to home but I also wouldn't scoff at a return proposal, especially with the family night deal. read more

Lanes and pin setters are not taken care of how they should. Staff is very unhelpful and disinterested. Multiple lanes have pin setting problems and open bowling is a nightmare. read more
