absolutely the worst. scrutinize every little thing when it comes down to parking, and make sure you check the confirmation even if you all absolutely sure you're correct. Their license plate confirmation is messed up and they make you pay for it (usually over $300). Usually the license plate confirmation is supposed to catch if people accident miss a letter in their license plate, but there's does NOT do that. A simple fix to their already shitty website would help out so many people but they do not fix it so they can make more money. They also play the 'thats just the state law' card which is also flimsy when it is the towing company making it hard for people to do the right thing. They were not willing to admit their mistake and help someone out, and I called twice with the two people I called both being very unwilling and dismissive. read more

This company is an illegal, criminally negligent entity, attempting to make money any way they can. The Halston Apartment complex uses this illegal organization for parking. However, the complex allows this scam of a business to do as they please. Not only has my vehicle been towed, although I am legally registered on a lease, but they randomly tow resident's vehicles by their own whim to raise money. Their portal glitches and you pay the consequences. I guess it's also not surprising they are not BBB affiliated. I can only imagine what the complaints would be. When you go to pick up your vehicle, the price not only changes, but they demand cash. However, their is a sign, which I have attached, which says they must allow debit cards. The service desk worker claims to know nothing about the portal, the business, or who to contact regarding complaints or emergencies. My vehicle was completely unlocked, despite having been locked whenever it was towed. The vehicle also smelled like cologne and marijuana. Why would a tow truck driver or anyone from this business need to unlock and enter a vehicle? While leaving the impound lot, another tow truck pulling a vehicle came flying by, almost hit me and my girlfriend's car and laid on his horn. What type of barbaric, unprofessional employees do you have working for you? All these are questions that an attorney will be asking both Rapid Recovery, as well as The Halston Apartment Complex. This is the worst company. Parked in a visitor spot and they towed my vehicle and charged me over $300 and damaged the underside/radiator. Just bought the car less than 24 hours prior. They said they didn't do the damage and will not pay for it even though I have pictures and video showing all the coolant under the vehicle.. . They should be ashamed of how they allow their drivers to treat vehicles, how they treat people. My truck was impounded by Rapid Recovery LLC, and during the impound process, it was damaged. The steering wheel was not properly secured, which caused the front wheel to hit a curb, destroying a $600 TIS 544C rim. The rim was in perfect condition prior to the tow. I have clear photo evidence showing the impact point, the damage to the rim, and the condition of the truck immediately after it was released. This kind of damage is completely unacceptable and shows clear negligence on their part. I've reached out for reimbursement or a replacement and have yet to receive any resolution. Worst predatory company ever... They dont patrol they stalk peoples property... Their active yet agin after a year at the virtue apartments... Taking peoples cars for parking in fire lanes mean while you can watch the apartment work truck parked ileagle all day long... I can post pictures.... Predatory towing company that refuses to give copies of documentation of non-consent tow for one-month expired registration at apartment complex. 1) Texas law states that they have to wait 10 days after notification for an expired tag and the company did not do this. I think somebody may call that auto theft. The man working even told me that they typically pick up within seven days, so obviously he is not aware of the needs to follow when towing vehicles. 2) Ticketed car AGAIN the same day picked up from impound. 3) Charged more than what is allowed according to Texas law - with the invoice showing the proper amounts per line item, but the total charged significantly higher. The math just doesn't math with the $450 they charged my son. 4) This is important enough to say twice - they refuse to give copies of documentation that shows towed my car. Hello red flag, I see you. I have never written a bad review in my life but I feel so strongly this is a shady, predatory company, it feels irresponsible not to. And although I think it's just a pretty gross reason to tow the car given it was one month out of registration, I understand that rules are rules. But I cannot get past is the seemingly predatory behavior and the unwillingness to be transparent. I am filing a complaint with the TDLR (which requires documentation from towing company that again, they refuse to provide). My son who lives in Killeen Texas , car was told because his handicap sign fell and was on his seat. He was told he could pick up his car at 8:30 pm and no-one came until 10:30 pm. The person who came to release his car after having to pay $331.00 said because of the wait we should be able to get some type of credit of cost. She told us to call on Monday and speak to a manager. My son called on Monday and spoke to General Manager Melissa who was unprofessional and had my son confused with another person who had there car towed around the same time. She was yelling and talking over him. I was on the phone the second time my son called back because she hung up on him. She would not let us get a word in and hung up on us. I called her back and someone else answered this time. I asked to speak to her and she came on the line. She never apologize for getting my son mixed up with the other person. Predatory company, this towing agency came around putting notices on people's cars today and had the most sloppy hand writing ever, looked like a child wrote the dates on it. Said notification date 11/8 and car will be towed on 11/8 at 11am. Raced to get inspection done yet Texas law says I had 30 day grace period which is 11/30/2024 to get my renewal done, missed over two hours of work trying to find an inspection place that could take me and call Rapid Recovery in Temple to ask why it was dated today and not following the 30 day grace period, the lady on the phone was very short with me and rude and said it was my apartment's fault and only allowed ten days to renew from due date, so I stated ok that would be November 10th not the 8th. I then stated the notification said today as tow date and she argued with me saying it is stating 11/18. See pic below, does that look like a 8 or a 18? I said well he needs to write more clearly, he is giving people heart attacks today seeing the 11/8 for tow date and causing people like me to miss work running out to get it done today panicking. Towed because the vehicle was abandoned while my wife and I were on vacation. Also told the plates were expire. Since it's not a TX plates I asked if they can look it up. The manager told me no. So, not sure how it can be towed for that. When you search the plates they don't expire till Dec. 2024. My car was repossessed and this is the company they used. After paying all fees, my husband sees our car has significant damage to our front bumper and all of our stuff was gone through in our car. What's funny is the location they towed our vehicle from was directly across the street from their yard. They took photos of our vehicle AFTER they had already damaged it and it looks like the photos are in the parking lot of a gas station??? Why was our vehicle towed to a gas station? They already stated that it was picked up from husband's work, yet the photos are at a gas station? (There's no gas station from my husbands job, to their tow yard.) Then the lady at the desk starts talking to my husband as if he's an idiot and doesn't know how a tow truck works. She said the claw doesn't go that high...i don't drive a lifted truck, lady. The front bumper is no more than 2 feet off the ground. Good thing i have insurance and will be making a claim.
