I recently visited Rapid Oil Change #5 in Brookhaven, MS for a routine oil change, and my experience was disappointing.
After my visit, I called back simply to get a better understanding of the service and the type of oil used. During that call, the manager, John, was immediately rude and dismissive. Before I could even finish explaining my concern, he said, "I'm not giving you a refund. Take your car somewhere else," and told me I could call corporate. At no point was I asking for a refund--I was just trying to understand what I was told about my vehicle.
I was also told in-store that my car "requires premium oil," which is misleading. After reviewing my vehicle's manufacturer specifications, that is not an actual requirement--only the correct full synthetic oil type is needed. This made the interaction even more frustrating.
Customer service matters just as much as the work being done. Being spoken to in a dismissive and defensive way, especially when asking a simple question, is unacceptable.
I hope management or corporate takes this seriously and works on improving communication and professionalism. I would recommend others ask detailed questions upfront and ensure they are getting clear, accurate information before agreeing to services. read more
