We went through Rapid Liquors to get all of the alcohol for our wedding. We met with Doug who was super helpful and easy to work with. He was right on the money estimating how much alcohol we needed even though we added extra to everything. They were also super easy with letting us return any unused alcohol from our wedding. This is about 25ish minutes from where I live, but I decided to check it out based on the reviews. 1. Huge selection of liquors and wine, especially whiskeys. 2. The absolute *BEST* prices on wines and whiskeys. My favorite wines are typically 2-3 bucks cheaper a pop than the other low-price/high-selection store I go to (Kappy's on R1 north). This place has the best prices around. The beer selection is good, but the craft beer variety could be better (but I'm pretty picky). The wine selection is excellent and everything is laid out logically in the store. One of the highlights here is the check out. I can't say enough about Rapid! They are the best. Tip- try and talk to the owner about wine recommendations. He gives great tips and sometimes will discount a bottle of wine even further than their already low marked price. I never ask for a discount but he's done this for me several times. read more

This place is a hidden gem. So much so I almost hate to review it :-). They have a very nice selection of craft beer, and their prices are the best around. Significantly less than the other bottle shops in this area. The Folks who work here are super friendly and always fun to talk to. They are super accommodating to beer requests. If you ask for a beer they will do their best to get it for you. I actually drive 1.5 hours (each way) from NH once a month just to buy beer here. NH distro sucks compared to MA. Easy access to store and knowledgeable staff. Each year the store donates a gift basket to my rugby team for our annual Silent Auction. Any store that goes above and beyond for me gets the highest rating. The store owner took the time to special order a case of Magners Berry when it was not available in the US for my wife and I when we brought it up to them. While I'm no longer living in the same town, I will drive the extra distance when they have tastings or promotions. This isn't just a great liquor store but also a robust wine shop. I've been in on several occasions and the prices are very competitive with NH and wholesale stores in the area. They were also able to order some special wines I was looking for which worked out great as I was not able to ship them to my residential address. Definitely give them a visit they are only two or three minutes from the exit near the 95/93 junction and have lots of parking. read more

Rapids Liquors is the place that I always come back to for my wines. Good selection, helpful service, if they don't have it they will order it. Example I had a glass of wine in Boston for $8. Rapids ordered a case the exact wine for $6.99 a bottle and I only purchased three bottles from the case. I go to Busa in Woburn for their wine tastings then go to Rapids to purchase the wines that I liked at Rapids. Always saving at least a few dollars per bottle at Rapis even with Busa's discounted tasting special prices. Only draw back is that they don't offer wine tastings, maybe because the store has little open space. They have gift pack arrangements for very reasonable prices for many different occasions. I have no ties to them, I just appreciate good service, good product at good prices. read more

Also went a few times to Wakefield by the railroad tracks and Rapids beats their selection and prices. I know of folks who come from afar to shop at Rapids. Hands down, the best liquor store in the area, and probably in the entire state. Best prices by $3-$5 for wine and liquor. Beer is probably closer in price, maybe $2 or $3 cheaper, but still cheaper than anywhere else! And they have a GREAT selection of everything. They have a good organization of the wine and liquor, easy to find what you are looking for, and plenty of stuff to try. If they don't have what you want... they will GET IT! Ask and you shall receive! My husband and I used to buy from another liquor store because they had this particular Irish Whiskey that we drink, and it was the only place in the area we could find it, and also the only reason we still went to the other liquor store after finding Rapids. My husband asked Doug one day about Kahula especial because he could only find Kahula midnight, and Doug brought out a big ordering book and started looking through it. Out of curiosity my husband asked if he could order The Knot, the Irish Whiskey, and if he could order it regularly. He told him we shop at Rapids for wine, beer and other liquor but we go to this other place occasionally for The Knot. Doug has been ordering it since that day for us, and now we don't have to drive further away and can do all our booze shopping in one place. Oh, and the best part... it's $4 cheaper than it was at the other liquor store. I love Rapids. If I had to say one negative, it's that there is only one store, and if I move anytime in the future, I will miss Rapids greatly. read more
