Very nice interior, nice area, lots of selections for beers, wines, and liquors. The cashiers can look up stuff to see if it's available but they are very knowledgeable, especially the guy with the beard. He was friendly and really knew his stuff. Will definitely be coming back. Enjoy! read more

The owner / manager is very rude. He will tell me wines will be in stock and never are. Your best to go to Rapid Liquors. Skip this place.

Great selection and friendly staff. If they don't have something, they will quickly look it up and let you know if and when they can get it. Huge clean store. read more

I'm very impressed with this store. Its very nice inside. They have a great variety of items. I was surprised they had a few beers I wasn't expecting. They also have a tasting bar and wine tasting. I highly recommend. read more

OK - I know I initially gave Redstone a 4 due to prices slightly higher than your average liquor store, but they've completely won me over. The selection is truly unmatched, and the staff are unbelievably helpful. I'd also be remiss if I didn't mention the recent Whiskeyfest and the frequent raffles for rare / hard-to-find whiskeys - make sure to follow them on social media so you don't miss out on the limited supply stuff. Finally, it doesn't hurt that the owner is a fellow Eagles fan! This is as a good as it gets - worth the extra few bucks for the great finds, well-organized events and fantastic staff. read more

Fantastic beer options at Redstone! When visiting the area I took the opportunity to stock up on beer not available in Maine. At checkout I learned you save 15% on bottles... Which had I known previously may have impacted my final purchase... But I digress. You'll find gems of all styles in both the refrigerator and, especially the bottle section. Oh and they have awesome snacks available near the checkout. I'm talking black truffle oil potato chips and fair trade organic dark chocolate awesome. Hit this place up! read more

Yes, they have a ton to offer here but it's sort of small and cramped inside, which makes it seem a bit overwhelming regarding getting around. Ease of movement when there are people at the fridges may be a bit of a maze but for alcohol we all concur. The selection of 'craft beers,' like others have said, are definitely there. There are all sorts of weird brands, I mean I'm a Miller or Coors girl, but they've got some cool things to try out. They're probably one of the better in Stoneham with that sort of selection. They also have a pretty good selection of wines and the prices are average I suppose for everything overall. The parking lot is pretty large considering Shaw's is no longer open (RIP). They've been here for years though, for like ever as far as I can remember. So it's nothing new to the area, for me though I've been here more recently since the new man lives on this side of town. Yeah, I'm on the other side of town so for me to come over here would mean I was in the area. The people who work there are awesome and may or may not recognize me now, I will never tell. read more

Redstone Liquors - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Stoneham, Massachusetts

I used to work near Alewife and Craft Beer Cellar (love them!) was my beer store. After changing jobs, and moving to Melrose last year I was afraid I'd have to drive to Belmont on the weekends to get my beer geek on. Not so! Redstone totally delivers with their amazing craft beer selection. Good craft beer is always going to be expensive, no matter where you go. Redstone's prices are comparable to other beer stores with a micro brew focus. However, like Craft Beer Cellar, it's not just the beer selection that makes Redstone awesome, it's the staff. They are all just as passionate about beer as I am, and can answer all of my nerdy questions. Also, if a beer is coming to MA at all, they are able to get it. They were one of just a handful of stores in MA to get Westvleteren when it was released for the first time in the states. Every Friday they have a brewery in to showcase their beers with a tasting. This is awesome and has introduced me to some really great beers. They also keep their Facebook page constantly updated with their shipments, and if there's something you want that they don't carry they will check on it for you. Two words. Totally. Awesome. read more

I have heard SO much about Redstone Liquors that I had to go check it out on Christmas Eve. It was pretty busy and the store is jam packed with great craft beers and whiskies - but I was still able to navigate my way through and get the help I needed. The beer selection is fantastic and the whiskey/bourbon section had my drooling. I picked up some great last minute gifts (nothing says love like alcohol). But above the selection, I have to say that the service was absolutely impeccable. There were several guys available to assist customers and the guy I chatted with spent a good amount of time just talking whiskey with me. He was super knowledgeable and really nice and friendly. I hate it when you talk to whiskey dudes about whiskey and they get all condescending and judge-y. There was ZERO of that at Redstone. The guy I chatted with (he may have been the owner) told me that they get an allocation of rare whiskeys which they raffle off the chance to purchase during their "whiskey week." (I believe it's the week before Thanksgiving?) Bummed that I missed it this year, but I will definitely be taking part next! Best ever! read more

Perhaps the best beer selection in metro Boston! You can find anything here from American nano-brews to hard to find Belgians. They've even been known to have bottles of Cantillon from time to time. Another perk is that the staff are pretty knowledgable about the beers and always able to make a good recommendation. For example, I was on a sour beer kick and was turned on to Jolly Pumpkin ales by one of the staff members. If whiskey is your thing, the selection is extensive and unique. If you have a chance I recommend stopping in here on a Friday after work. From what I understand Redstone gets deliveries of Fridays and that's when all the choice stuff is on the shelves. This beer craze is getting a little nuts these days so you have to get a bit lucky to find the rare stuff. Your best chance is on Friday afternoons at Redstone. read more

Excellent selection of craft beers and unexpectedly great customer service. How many times do you walk into a liquor store and get a genuine welcome, courteous service, and everything is clean and in order.... I've never wanted to rate a liquor store. As soon as I hit Yelp, I saw their 5 - star rating and was not surprised. I will always go to this store instead of the many stores that are within walking distance to my home. Most liquor store owners and managers should use this as their model of customer service. We were also in search of a martini glass, and asked them if they knew where we could find one at 930 pm on a Saturday night. One of the people at the counter not only knew where to find one, he brought 2 promotional martini glasses down for us. As I said, I've never been inclined to write a review about a liquor store, but my experience was exceptional. read more

For those that love craft beer and live in the area, this little shop is THE connection. They have wine and other spirits too, but beer and whiskey is their bread and butter. They're very active on FB, so knowing about new beer releases is east to follow here. The store owners might disagree, but I spend entirely too much money here. read more

This liquor store has far and away the best selection of beer I've ever been to. The staff and especially the owner know every bottle they place on the shelves and won't keep any beer longer than about 6mo. It's nice to know that anything you buy there will be fresh. I'm an IPA whore and there's a ridiculous selection. If there's any drawback, they're not as cheap as Rapid which is within spitting distance. Oh and they have a great website which will tell you everything they have in stock. read more

If you're a beer drinker, this is as close to heaven as you are going to get short of actually pushing up daisies. But don't indulge too much or you might end up there sooner than you had anticipated. It's a good idea to follow their Facebook account for news of new deliveries. read more

I came here looking for some special beers to get for a gift and left with more than I had expected. The beer selection is pretty good and they give a 10 percent discount if you purchase six bombers. I pretty much got one for free. I was looking for a variety of IPA's and they had a whole bunch of good ones. I bought a Stone IPA, Trinity IPA, a couple Dogfish Head beers, Racer IPA and a Napa Valley organic IPA. One of the employees said their expanding their beer selection over the next few months too. I'll surely be back. read more

I usually go here to get some IPA's when I tire of the rotation at my local store. Today I was looking for something different. I'm not a big stout guy but I asked the beer guy to recommend something. He Said this is good And he handed me a 12 oz bottle so I Took one home. I Got home and looked at the receipt and they charged me $15 for a 12 oz bottle. I guess it was the 500 ml price. I called immediately and asked if I could email a copy of the receipt and a pic of what I got and maybe just get a store credit for the difference so I didn't have to drive all the way back. (Two kids doesn't make it easy to get out). I figured a $115 total purchase would mean something. They told me to call Back later. Always check your receipt boy and girls. read more

Despite being a bit overpriced, loved this store until today. Positives: nicely curated selection of wines. Negatives: employees aren't equipped to handle customer issues of any kind. I guess when you card people you get to play God. I'm in my 40's with a 17 and 20 year old and I was hassled buying a bottle of Pinot cause she didn't have her ID. The guy behind the counter was awful and threatened not to sell to me. With several other liquor stores in the same one mile radius, I won't be back. It's too bad. read more

I started coming to Redstone Liquors when I moved to Stoneham a few years ago. It's a nice store with a great variety of beers and liquors. I tend to like good bourbon and found the variety available at this store to be the best in the area. The owner has offered to special order particular bourbons that I like to give as a gift during the holidays. The personal service that I get at this store is really what inspired me to write the review. I really have no reason to go anywhere else. read more

If your looking for THE BEST selection of craft beers and whiskey, this is your spot. The store is super well organized so it's easy to find what your looking for. The best liquor store ever. Hands down. Selection of whiskey and access to crafts beers are bar none the best in the area.

This is my go-to liquor store. If you are overwhelmed at all the choices or need to pick something up for a gift, make sure you ask the workers. I have never ended up with a bad bottle of anything. read more

Wow. I asked a question about options for port cask finished bourbons (similar to Angel's envy), and I was put on the phone with the owner. Wow. One on one service on Sunday afternoon? Unbelievable. Thank you! read more

I was visiting from out of town and heard of this place online. It exceeded even my high expectations. Great beer selection, and on top of that all of the staff was incredibly friendly and nice and gave me great recommendations on local beers. Made me feel at home even though they knew I wasn't local. Can't recommend it enough! read more

Excellent store! As the other reviews state, the store huge and has a great selection of specialty items- craft beer, special barrel bourbons, great wine selection, some food items like hot sauce. It is also really clean and easy to find things. They have Craft beer kegs available or will take orders. Everyone is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Always a great experience. read more

This store has really changed their ways. Their wines have gone from the same old same old to a boutique wine shop. This also use to a bud beer shop but now they have more craft beer then I have ever seen. The employees have an outstanding knowledge of the products in their store and you can tell they have tried everything they have. They also have tastings where they have very informative people pouring the wine/beer. read more

Can't recommend this place highly enough. Although it's a small store located next to the Shaw's, they have an amazing and current variety of microbrews from all sorts of far-flung locales. Staff is friendly, enthusiastic, and extremely knowledgeable. Every time I go there I end up getting a spot-on recommendation of a beer I've never heard of. 5 stars. read more

I've been going to Redstone for about two years now and absolutely love it. It's over an hour round trip for me on lovely 95/128 but it's worth it! They are an amazing source for craft beers. Since they are such icons for craft beer in the greater Boston area, they are able to have a huge selection that turns over as well so you have a better chance for finding fresh bottles than other places (old beer can be an issue for places with a large inventory). Also since they are so popular, it means they are a great source for rare beer. I also love how friendly the staff are. Whether it's your first time in there or the staff knows you, you can still rely on the fact that a member of the staff will ask if you need help finding anything. I really love this. They're quite knowledgeable as well. Though I don't know a huge amount about whiskey, they have a huge selection of this as well. They carry a number of whiskeys that I know I haven't seen elsewhere. I'd highly recommend following them on Facebook - they post updates with beer and whisky arrivals. read more

I'm a beer nerd, I've been to many different beer stores. This one is my favorite. Tons of Bombers/750s of really fancy/rare/good beers. Belgians, Trappist, Germans, American Craft beers of all types, lambics, sours, DIPAs, RIS theyre all here. Their prices are competitive with anywhere else I've been, if anything better. Havent been to a better beer store. Davis Square wine and spirits has better 6 pack selection, this place has better total beer selection. They also occasional do tastings and updated twitter when they get interesting new things in stock. read more
