Do not use this company! We contacted FMF in May of 2021 and Perry came and gave us a quote. After…read morethe initial deposit, we had to constantly reach out to them to see when the work will begin. They kept postponing work claiming permits are slow, then they had no workers, then this and that. They finally sent a team of two works who started putting the fence in while explaining that the wood is low quality and are we okay with that. The fence they intended to build did not meet the structure we were quoted on, so work had to pause until Perry came back and admitted he lost the original fence design. Months went by until a new team came - this is now December, so 7 months later. My fiancé had to go go to their office physically to get someone's attention as Perry has stopped returning our calls. Finally in end of December, a team of 4 workers came by and put in the posts, added the wood and completed the project. After they left, we noticed wood had started warping and needed to be replaced. We contact FMF and they sent two crew members to replace some of the wood. More wood kept warping and FMF is no longer returning our calls. We finally had another company come by to evaluate the project and they are now quoting us for complete replacement of all wood slabs for a 100 ft of fence!! They are saying FMF used the cheapest wood that is not treated sufficiently as deck wood would be, so the warping will continue and will always be an issue. I can't begin to explain the stress of not having a fence for 7 months. The great relationship with our neighbor has deteriorated, my fiancé became so stressed that his blood pressure was affected and he had open heart surgery 3 years ago! Do not waste your money with FMF, you don't need to go through this painful experience.

The single star is because the women in the front office were lovely and did all that was within their capabilities. The biggest reason I went with FMF in the first place was because of their tenure within the community however, they did NOT inform me that they would be using a less than half assed subcontracting company to do the work and that was just the first of so many let downs. After a month of asking when the work would be started (I was expecting August 1) the crew finally showed up on a Friday (Aug 22) and removed my original fence. They were about to leave for the day with my whole back yard (that has a pool and is on a carriage alley) fully exposed without any kind of deterrent or barrier. If my neighbors hadn't noticed and stepped in to at least get some orange netting up, my yard would've been left fully exposed and wide open for all kinds of liability. So the following Wednesday the new fence starts being installed and every day the area was left a complete mess and the crew needed to be micromanaged about barricading the back entrance to the yard prior to their departure. There was a conflict with this crew along every step of the way and even though I tried desperately to partner with Perry Massie (yes one of the owners) I was either ignored by him or was told that it would be handled which it never was so I was left to be the daily nagging bi*ch. They did way less than par work. Nails are exposed everywhere, flat boards along the top of the fence are uneven and not level. The bottom boards were supposed to go to grade and when I pointed out that they didn't and needed to (not only because permit stated such but because I have dogs) they took cut up pieces of boards and randomly nailed them to the base of the fence and yet still didn't do the entire perimeter. WTF?!? It looks terrible!! They then proceeded to stain the fence a day after installation (and ran) and naturally, all of the boards warped and separated. Additionally, upon haphazardly spray staining my fence, the crew proceeded to get stain all over the houses, landscaping and outdoor furniture of BOTH NEIGHBORS on either side and took no responsibility for it. My fence is 3 different colors and there are drips and bleeding of stain EVERYWHERE. Again it looks terrible!! Additionally, the crew put the back gate leading to the carriage alley, and its locking mechanisms on BACKWARDS so the gate swings into the alley (not allowed) and the lock placed on the public side of the fence requiring me to get out a ladder so I could lean over to unlock every time I needed to open it. Needless to say, it had to fail inspection twice and a ton of phone calls and emails to Fritz Massie in order for it to be corrected. It still has yet to pass a final inspection. Lastly and most troubling to me is that despite the fact that all of the contracted work had yet to be completed, Perry Massie proceeded to have his assistant charge my credit card on file for the remaining balance without my authorization. Had I not gotten an alert from American Express, I would not have known. I immediately reached out to FMF and was told "my guys need to get paid and we need to close out the month." I can not deter you enough from hiring this company. For what I paid, I got maybe a quarter of what I expected. Poor craftsmanship, poor communication, poor followthrough and an extreme overcharge for labor that was not warranted. Oh, and the site supervisor who showed up all of 2 times was a total masochistic douche and Perry Massie a complete avoider of confrontation and accountability. Do yourself a favor, invest your money, time and efforts elsewhere,

Extremely disappointed. They were recommended by our neighbor so we thought they would do quality…read morework. Again....extremely disappointed. I would have the original installer make the repairs, but they went out of business because of their lack of quality. The scope of work was the remove a double gate and install a single gate. They were quick with the quote and the pricing was decent so we went to with them without getting a second or third quote. This is my bad. They came on a Saturday to do the installation. Instead of following the slope of the ground, they did a step down. It's not that bad as it was just an inch. When I went to inspect the work, they had a different latch system and a different hinge system for the new gate. Why they did not use the old one is beyond my understanding. I told them that I at least needed to old latch installed as it was a Sumo system and I already had the key. Last hung I wanted is to have different locks/keys for my fencing. They did not have to tools and said they would come back at a later date. Instead additional, the new fence had a gap and the new gate had a gap with the ground. Not a little gap, but a large enough gap that our 17 pound dog could climb under. So they decided that the right fix was to hack up some of the old fence and use brackets to attach to the bottom of the fence and gate. I wonder if they would accept the same "quality" of work had this been their own house. I think that is the problem, they did not have ownership. Anyway, they installed the old lock but guess what...it does not lock. The rod that goes between the inside latch and outside latch is too short. Now this was too short from the previous install, so it is not their fault. However, again, had they checked it and verified it, they could have told me that either a new rod of new latch is required. Nope. In addition, they drilled / screwed some many holes because of the mixup that now my brand new fence and brand new gate still looks like crap. I was told that tooth paste can easily fill the holes. So sad. If I were you and you weee looking for a decent fencing company, I would use them as a comparison for pricing, but nothing more. By the way, I am going ti fix it all myself. I guess the saying is true that if you want something done right....

I met the owner, Jorge Garcia, back in 2021 about building a wood fence at my house. I got four…read moredifferent quotes, and his was the second lowest. I was really impressed with Jorge - so sincere and kind. I asked if he could match a lower quote i'd received, but understandably, he couldn't. unfortunately, I decided to go with the cheaper guy...and it ended up being one nightmare after another - in the end, it cost me even more than J Garcia's quote! It was a total mess....I REALLY regretted not hiring Jorge!!! Fast forward to 2025 - i needed to remove a wood fence and rebuild a new one on the other side of my house. I called J Garcia. James, the sales guy, came out and spent a lot of time analyzing what i needed. I was so impressed with his technical fence knowledge and attention to detail ...and he was just as kind and sincere as I'd remembered Jorge being. he even said they would fix the failing gate that the cheaper fence guy built in 2021! I hired them without even getting another quote! Jorge's kindness clearly permeates his entire company: Their permit manager, Kathy, is so helpful and resourceful and has a vast knowledge of the permitting process. George, the project manager, was there every step of the way, and when we encountered a minor hiccup, he addressed it immediately with professionalism and patience. Pedro, the installer was amazingly meticulous and precise -- truly a master craftsman! Oscar, Roberta and the whole team have amazing follow up. And James (sales) was available throughout the install to answer any questions. I've already referred J Garcia to two different neighbors, who seem to be just as impressed. I can't recommend them enough! I love my new fence!

Finally got the rail installed only to see the installers need a new level as the railing is 3 degrees out of plumb, visually unappealing. He said he would send his guy on Monday, that was two weeks ago. Run don't walk away from this company. Poor quality, unprofessional contract, and horrible communication--I am surprised he is still in business.
