I had a hemorrhagic stroke in Dec 2013. My wife was told I would never walk again. When the doc finally allowed me to go to therapy, they had me at Casa Colina. While Casa is a very good place, we felt I needed more of a one on one consistency. Joscelyn accepted me as a patient, (they do take adults) and in weeks, had me walking with a quad cane, something Casa had told me would be months away, if not a year. A few months later, I was walking with confidence and getting my muscles back. I had dwindled down to skin and bone for half a year, but after a few weeks at Rapha, my body said hey, let's do this. With everything I learned at Rapha, I have been able to keep up my physique, and feel more like me, even though I am still weak on the left side. I can walk out the apartment post box with my cane, and stand for a while chatting with the neighbors. I was trapped in my wheel chair before; now I can talk on eye level with people again. We haven't been able to attend for a while, but will go back when our situation settles and if my doc will refer me again. I miss the place and look forward to getting going on my arm and hand. While we were at Rapha, we also saw how well they worked with the little kids. Their patience and confidence went a long way with the little ones who were having difficulties and not only tired and not understanding, but probably scared at people making them do strange things that they had not known they could do. Little kids like toddlers don't know how big people manage to walk and keep their balance if they are having developmental difficulties, but the gang at Rapha really did a good job. We watch one little guy go from refusing to stand up, to walking around without help in a few months. He went from cranky to happy and confident, it really does make a difference to even children that small. The last month we were able to attend, an older lady was in tear of joy because she had been able to walk again, without a cane, just lightly holding onto someone's arm. We nearly cried too, it was a small miracle to that person, no matter how easy it looks to someone who has not been in this position. I can't help thinking, that had we not found Rapha, my outlook on life at the time would have continued to go down hill. It's not just a therapy place, it's a community; you go there to be with people you like, as well as to get physical help. It's not at all like a visit to a doctor. They are gentle and professional while being friendly and caring. If you need a drill sargent to cheer you on, Joscelyn has it going. I would without hesitation, and have frequently told people, go to Rapha for physical therapy, and if their insurance will not let them, they need to change their insurance! read more

In my opinion since I asked for information the staff were helpful and they approved the services for my son Brooklyn in a short period of time which I was shocked after that , they scheduled my son for an assessment which was very detailed and making goals in the assessment and always acknowledging their potential . They scheduled my son to start services right away and my son likes his new speech therapist and he treat him with respect in a kind nature way I was impressed because my son is a extreme case where he doesn't like following directions plus he is now on the teen years but I'm glad we found the right professional therapist Lorence he is profesional and always tells me how he did in session and also provides me ideas to work with my son at home which I really appreciate and is rare to find professionals that have vision to make our kids improve and make time to discuss their improvements or any questions that I could have ..I think my son looks forwards to have session with mr.lorence I feel he sees him as a friend and for my surprised he follows his directions and I already seen a lot of improvements which I'm still in shock it's like he sees him and he starts right away to do what mr lorence ask him to do and tries his best to talk like a switch button ... We have brought our daughter to Rapha for physical therapy and speech for a couple of years now. I'm surprised to read the negative reviews because we have never had problems. They love kids. Jocelyn is a gem and very accommodating. The girls in the front office are always friendly and cheerful and make us feel welcome. Jocelyn, who is extremely competent, started out as our daughter's physical therapist. Now, Janessa is working with her and we have seen significant progress. Kathleen is our daughter's speech therapist. She is not only cheerful and kind, but our daughter has really improved under her care. I like how we have been able to do physical therapy and speech at the same facility. I also like how the therapists give us regular updates on our child's progress. Every one of the therapists are supportive and caring, which is so important for our child's self-esteem. I don't know the basis of the negative comments, but I can assure you that we have been pleased and truly appreciate everyone's dedication and hard work. read more

My daughter has been receiving Speech and Occupational therapy services at Rapha for about 11 months now, and we absolutely love it here. The ladies in the front office are very courteous and helpful. I've had to reschedule several appointments and Lilly has been amazing at helping me out with scheduling. Her OT is JD and my daughter absolutely loves him, she looks forward to working with him every week. JD is very kind, fun, patient, and most importantly encouraging with my daughter. JD has really gotten to know my daughters personality and is able to challenge her without her shutting down. She has made amazing progress with her fine motor skills with the help of JD. My daughter also sees Lina for speech and she also absolutely loves working with Lina. Lina is very sweet, patient, and encouraging with my daughter. Lina has really taken the time to get to know my daughter and knows what motivates her. My daughters speech articulation has improved significantly with the help of Lina. read more

When first starting at Rapha, I'll admit I was a little weary..Some of the reviews on this page are very harsh, and are filled with so much hate that it made me bit nervous for my son to begin his speech therapy. That being said; I am SO happy that i looked past the reviews, and decided to come up with my own judgement. Amanda has been nothing but sweet and kind with my son, and he has made tremendous strides since starting his therapy. Amanda has even taken it upon herself to teach me what she is doing with Blake, so that I can continue the therapy at home as well. She makes sure we are ALWAYS on the same page, and that my son is getting all of the help he needs. The icing on the cake is seeing how genuinely excited she gets when my son says something new, and shows progress. You can see it in Amanda's face that she really cares, almost as if he is her own, and it shows in the work she puts forth. I would highly recommend this center to anyone, and everyone read more

This place is outstanding! I was referred to this place by my insurance about a year ago and from the beginning the ladies in the front were very helpful and knowledgeable in setting everything up with my son's insurance. There's always parking and the area is very clean. My son receives OT and speech. His speech therapist Kathleen is the best. He is always excited for his session with her. She is very patient and knowledgeable. Before coming to Rapha Physical Therapy, my son would maybe say 5 or 6 words and now he's able to communicate with me and tell me all about his day at school. For OT he has session with JD and and I couldn't be happier with his outcome. He has learned so much and is more independent with everyday activities. They both are always available after session to answer any questions and help you understand what exact goals they are working on. Rapha Physical Therapy is a reliable, efficient, understanding and productive OT and Speech provider. My son has been receiving OT and Speech services here for a year and half and I am very please with the results. Ms. Kathleen is outstanding. Cynthia F. I fractured my patella. I was in an immobilizer for a month and a half and was told that my knee was healed enough to begin therapy. Unfortunately, I discovered I was no longer able to bend my knee. I panicked and for good reason. The orthopedic doctor said if I could not bend my knee by the time I see him again...he would put me to sleep and bend it for me. I was assigned to a physical therapist named Janessa who helped me slowly begin the painful process of bending again. She has always been courteous and very attentive to my needs. She gave me different movements to do at home to further extend my therapy. Thanks to Janessa's excellent physical therapy procedures my doctor says he won't have to force my knee to bend. Rapha Physical therapy is the place to go if you want a loving, caring, and respectful experience with your occupational, physical, speech needs. The staff Lily , Sophie , and Daniela are always up beat and courteous, they try to work with your schedule as much as possible. The therapists are also great they make your child feel safe and cared for. My youngest daughter has received OT , physical therapy, speech and her therapist Chris, Donna and Amanda have made her feel very comfortable in the sessions which has help her made excellent strides. We have been coming here since July 2015. I highly recommend this facility for anyone who need these services you will not regret it! read more

The therapists here are wonderful! They are caring, attentive, and truly take the time to make sure we feel involved in the process. After each session, Miss Culissa gives us a recap of what was worked on, and shares any improvements she's noticed. She also makes sure to ask if there's anything specific we would like to see addressed or worked on. I really appreciate the communication and teamwork. It's reassuring to know that the therapists are not only focused on the session itself but also on making sure we are informed and comfortable with the progress. I would highly recommend this office! My son has been getting speech and occupational therapy since December 2017 and I can definitely see an improvement with his motor skills along with his speech and vocabulary. He has thrived thanks to his therapists. His speech therapist, Lawrence, has been great and a huge help. He is helping my son with his overall social skills along with his vocabulary and speech needs. His OT therapist, Jd was great as well, unfortunately we have since changed Ot therapists for scheduling reasons but we look forward to working with his new therapist as well. I have been coming here for the past year and have been very pleased with the service and quality of care provided. The office waiting area is clean and the treatment areas are organized and tidy. The front desk staff are attentive and I appreciate the reminder texts/voicemail for appointments. Lily at the front desk always has a smile and is very approachable. I have been attending therapy sessions at Rapha for about 2 months now. The waiting area is nice and I have found the front office staff to always be polite and caring. I have worked with 3 different therapists at Rapha's, all 3 are kind, listen to any pain issues I may be having that day and adjust the routine accordingly. Don't get me wrong, they still push me to perform the exercises, but I need that to get better. I personally enjoy working with the owner, Jocelyn. She doesn't give you muck slack, but again, for me that's a good thing. read more

I've been bringing my son to Ralpha for OT, PT and speech. Our therapist have been amazing with him. I enjoy coming here as well the front office is efficient and friendly. We spend a lot of time here so it's great to have somewhere that you know actually care. Amanda is really patient and has really helped my son with his speech. Chris and Jenny Lee are amazing. He has improved so much. PT is now his favorite sessions. JD and Julio are his OT therapist and are great as well. I would highly recommend Ralpha therapy. read more

This place is great!My son goes there for speech and he has learned so much since he started going there. Miss Kathleen is so great with him and teaches him with fun and creative activities. When he first started going there he used to want me to go in with him because he was shy,but only after a couple of visits he didn't mind going in without me and even waves bye to me now lol. My son receives speech therapy at Rapha therapy. Amanda is his therapist and she has been very patient, professional, and caring in assisting my son with his needs. He is Autistic and before seeing Amanda, non-verbal. He now says a few words and much more expressive. He gave her the sweetest hug the other day which demonstrates how much he looks forward to his therapy sessions with Amanda. She keeps him motivated and it feels good knowing my son is in good hands. read more

Ms Kathleen and Mr Julio are my sons therapists, I think they both do a great job w him! He's always very excited to see them & I'm excited at how much progress I'm seeing!
