I need to visit this place again. My first visit was really strange. The staff was really rude to the parties ahead of me. The gentleman was asking for a lobster without a broken claw and it seemed to upset the gentleman behind the counter. I was hesitant to order but proceeded. This is the worst food I have ever seen in my life if I could give this place zero stars I would. I ordered a lobster roll and it was gross I actually put it in the trash. It had a weird spicy sauce and it was chopped up pieces of something that did not look like lobster. i also got a chicken finger plate that looked like it was fried in dirty oil looked very dark and weird. I pass by the Randolph Fish Market almost daily and the pictures of the food they have on the windows are very enticing. I ordered a basket of fried shrimps. The staff wasn't very friendly, nor particularly rude. But the shrimps were absolutely not fresh, some of them even smelled when opened the box... I shared with my son who loves shrimps and he refused to eat the one I gave him. The shrimps were just bad (My son who is upset at the idea of not eating shrimp says there were horrible). This restaurant has been in business for over 15 years. The food is always tasty ! They not only will cook your food but if you just want really good quality raw seafood to take gone they have a market with a really good selection. My only complaint is that when you order your meal there only 1 person who cooks and takes orders making the wait time 15-25 minutes for take out depending on how many customers they have .. so I ordered my meal today and the lady did not include any tartar sauce or ketchup ... she was clearly overworked . My fam loves fish and chips and orders from K Seafood all the time. Since I was in town, we decided to do takeout from them. It was a Saturday night so they were packed. I saw a whole fried porgie with fries on Yelp so I had to order it. We had a few orders of the fish and chips that came with a small cole slaw and fried sweet plantains. The porgie was small so it was boney but still had tasty morsels of flesh. I'll have to pick a more meaty fish next time. The plantains was delicious - simply done, of course. Really good food and nice staff. The food at the fish market is price fairly and they give you really nice portions.

Went yesterday and the woman behind the counter just a very big attitude. The place is also filthy but yet I still decided to get some live crab and the nice thing is they clean them. When I got home and opened the bag the smell was so foul and the crabs were slimy. I immediately threw them in the sink and the tried to wash them and it did not help. The crabs had the biggest black holes it just was something I have never seen before read more

We were frequent visitors to another fish market in the area until we were advised to give this one a go. What a surprise! When you walk in it looks like a typical fish market except they have a small area in the back to order cooked foods. Once you place your order one of the fishmongers gets the fish from the cooler and cleans/cuts it and then gives it to the woman who breads and fries it. It's all prepared fresh and to order and the best part is it's not greasy at all and every time we have ordered it has been hot and fresh. We are definitely fans, I won't have fried seafood anywhere else, however note that there is no seating and this is a takeout place only. Oh and we have gotten fresh fish a couple of times and I agree with other yelpers that the price is inconsistent (but isn't that the case with seafood everywhere?) but I feel they are fair with their market pricing. Also, the fish was fresh, had no odor, and was tasty. I've been in there when they are closing to pick up some fresh thyme, garlic or scallions and they clean that case thoroughly. Try the others first then go here for the fried seafood...you won't go anywhere else. read more

They always have bad fishes especially the red snappers.......please don't waste your money buying their fishes because you will regret it. More than once I bought red snappers from them and every time they gave me bad fishes and always came back with the hope that I would find good ones, but never did. First and foremost, I need to express that the food itself comes out pretty good usually. I am a regular customer for years. Inexpensive for the portion sizes. Great deals and nice workers of color who work behind the fish market side most of the time. HOWEVER, the short Asian woman who is frying the food and takes orders propels this discriminatory aura that is very hard to miss. The line was out the door, not only were the other workers already helping people, but she just watched as people piled in. Behind the counter, then went and took a a break to eat. There is nothing wrong with eating, but to deliberately ignore customers and allow the other workers of color to drown is inconsiderate. Mind you, I placed my order online and was just there to pick it up. I waited for 20 minutes! Just because the asian woman did not care to help or provide customer service to us colored folk smh. Ordered via Uber eats. On Uber eats it says a combo plate includes scallop, shrimp, clam, clam strips. I Only received scallop and shrimp. When I called the girl could barely get her words out and instead of acknowledging the error continued to defend that the combo plate only comes with two items. She then proceeded to hang up on me. Well, there's 2 places in Randolph to get fish and chips, K Seafood, and Fred's Seafood. This isn't the one. It seems like a good enough seafood market, and it sure smelled like a seafood market, but given I was the only person there getting cooked food, and how long it took, I'll stick with Fred's. The fish was fresh and cooked nicely, but when you take into account the wait time, the cleanliness of the store, the smell, and the fact that they don't even have clam chowder, I won't be revisiting because of the other option just up the street, Fred's. read more

This is a fish market, selling fresh fish as well as fried fish to go. We ordered the clams, shrimp and smelt, and were very happy with the food. In fact, my wife and I feel that the clams and shrimp had better flavor, were crispier, and better portion size (and much better price) than another larger chain of seafood restaurants found all over the area. I don't want to break any laws, so I will keep it Legal and not name names. The french fries were hot and crispy, too. We were in and out of the store in 15 minutes, so I think the speed of service was great. Even though everything is deep-fried, the food itself is not greasy. The fries do not have a "fishy" flavor from being fried in old oil. The building is in a strip mall, and there is nothing flashy about it. They focus on selling fresh fish. They clean and prepare the fish right behind the counter, and I there was an aroma of fish in the air (this is a great aroma, in my opinion.) The store itself was clean and well-kept. This fish store is certainly is not the focus of tourists, but that is what we were looking for. We got a great meal, prepared quickly while we waited, for a great price. (The two down sides: the cole slaw was only average, cocktail sauce. The tartar sauce is served in packets, but had great flavor. But in my opinion, I don't buy seafood for the cole slaw or tartar sauce.) read more

I love their fish sandwiches and fries. It's so good and they give you a lot of fries. Something the bread is a little soggy from the heat/steam but overall the sandwich is tasty. The store itself is a little expensive in my eyes. The price is always changing. You might get lucky and get a good deal on some fish or they might decide to charge you a crazy amount of money. Went here for years originally an older Asian couple and occasionally their son would be there from time to time. I dont really see much of them anymore.The fresh seafood is very good. The dinner plates are good. Nothing spectacular as far as flavor is concerned. The woman behind the counter that prepares the food does however have a nasty attitude.Even over the phone. I would have given four stars but since the original owners are not around as much the attitude and service has declined drastically. read more

This is an awesome seafood place. Super fresh fish and very clean. So much better than Fred's in Randolph. The fish here is fried at a high temp so it never is soggy. i was so impressed by the haddock plate since there was almost zero grease in the bottom of plate! At Fred's the grease is literally dripping out of the bag before you even make it home and the fish tastes like greasy old oil. Seafood K's can be a little pricey but its about what you would pay at a restaurant and the fish frys are way better quality and I would have to say one of the best I have ever had anywhere. The fish market itself is really good and the guys behind the counter will clean your fish any way you want and are super nice. Overall, I recommend coming here before you go out to restaurant for quality fish fry. read more
