If you use this firm get everything in writing and pay very close attention to their promises and their billing. My bill was more than $10k. I am sure they would lay out a fantastic story about what they did, but at the end of the day, they way over promised and way under delivered. Regardless of what the sell or tell you, you can get the same arrangements from the state or the IRS. Just do it yourself. I really don't care what Clear Creek says, I feel like I was taken advantage of throughout the process. There business practice is one of asking for more money at every turn.

We were clients of Kingsbery CPA for approximately 2 years for business bookkeeping, taxes and…read moreother financial services. In addition, I used them personally for my taxes. They were much more expensive than other CPA's we had worked with but we continued to use them hoping the financial investment would pay off. In addition to being overpriced, when we would attempt to discuss our displeasure re: certain mistakes or lack of follow through, we were often given excuses or had the experience of feeling shut down. But sometimes they listened so we stayed. The real breakdown occurred when we became more vocal about our complaints. They refused to listen to us despite our multiple requests for change so that the relationship we had invested tens of thousands of dollars into could continue. When we felt we couldn't receive the level of service we needed from our CPA, Pam Vogel, we asked for a replacement CPA. They not only refused, they (Managing Partner Mary Kay Gondrezick and Pam Vogel) were a bit bullying in their response to the request. We let them know that due to our inability to get our needs met, we felt the relationship would not be able to go forward ultimately but that we'd like to continue services until we could find another firm to handle mission critical elements of our business. In response, they immediately and without notice, refused to continue work on our account. If that's the way you would like your business to be treated, particularly after a multi year relationship, then by all means, have them do your taxes. If you prefer to be treated with consideration, respect and professionalism, I would look elsewhere.

They are not the least expensive accounting firm in the area, but they more than earn back their fee in the time, money and stress that they save you. Fran is very meticulous and attentive to detail while still being very warm and easy to work with, and their entire process is laid out for you in an electronic organizer that they provide, so that you know if you're missing any documents that they need to prepare your return. Additionally, if you have a corporation, I highly recommend having Coet2 prepare your quarterly payroll and year-end corporate taxes. These seem like a small thing, but accounting is my most hated business task and payroll taxes used to cause me a lot of problems. Coet2's staffer Barb Arnold now handles everything for me and has completely streamlined my payroll process at a very reasonable cost. In addition, no one at Coet2 ever pushes the additional services that they offer, but they are there if you need them (QuickBooks classes, financial planning, etc.). Highly recommended, and I have dealt with 4 accountants over the life of my business, so I have a good basis to offer a recommendation.
