My brother saved me from being sold a new alternator by giving me a meter to show when the battery was receiving a charge...the alternator WAS charging the battery. The issue was simply resolved by a friend. A $9.99 part which separated the connection between the car and the battery. I can't believe that I spent over a thousand dollars and still the problem was not fixed. It is difficult to accept that I could have resolved the problem with a ten dollar fix. It pays to ask around and do not blindly trust your mechanic to do the right thing. They didn't even diagnose the problem correctly. Be cautious; don't accept the 60 second diagnosis you're given: especially when it concerns electrical issues.

Was able to use a vehicle to run an errand and came back to my freshly washed and repaired car. Max was wonderful! Jim (the previous manager or owner) knew what customer service was and appreciated customer loyalty. Things have drastically changed! Just today I called looking to get on a hoist for an urgent but quick repair to refasten the heat shield to the underside of my car. The front half had fallen down and is acting like a plough and is about catch and completely rip off. Something that really couldn't wait, right?! I figured they could slip me in for the 5 minutes it would take to run a couple of screws in while I I waited. NOPE!! I called and spoke to a woman and told her the issue and that basically the car is not drivable without almost certain further immediate damage. When I suggested they might slip me in for this quick repair, she just about laughed. She went on to tell me that 10 DAYS from now is the first time they could possibly look at it and that they had 50 cars waiting. Huh? Not; " We happen to be super busy today but I'll see what I can do, OR try back later this afternoon OR I'll put you on a list for cancellations. Nothing. No effort to help. What's the point of being loyal to a garage when the one time I need something small done quickly they don't even try to help me? WTF I was extremely disappointed after all these years. On May 15, 2023, this repair shop, OK Tire at Lady Hammonds Rd., replaced a converter, charged me…read more$1,304.10 just for the part, plus costs for labors and supplies. With the invoice showing the code of the part, I was able to check by Googling the market price of the part - only to realize that the part is selling for $659.97 by Parts Avatar, delivered for free across Canada. So, the repair shop got an exorbitant 97% margin on the part! This is repair services where you make living largely on labor and expertise, not on parts you just order and pass their costs to customers, especially given the part's great availability in the whole country. Being in the business, the shop certainly can get an even lower price from its regular suppliers. The shop could have suggested to me to get the part delivered at a much lower cost to their shop to get installed; instead, they FOOLED a customer by HIDING such a possibility just to make UNJUSTIFIABLE money of $636 ! That is total lack of transparency, honesty, and customer care in best, and deceptive business practice in worst.

Have been getting exhaust fumes in my car since at least december. Dealership failed to properly diagnose at least 2 times. After my diagnosis proved the rear door is not sealing/closing all the way. They were about to work on the driver door when I dropped the car off. Still getting exhaust fumes inhaled by me/passengers every drive. Hybrid battery air intake is also inhaling the road salt, moisture, and cold air nearly directly into the hybrid air intake. The battery will be ruined and the car is worth nothing if moisture and salt is detected past the air intake filter. They will refuse to provide a loaner car even if you tell them you're very concerned about your pregnant wife inhaling these exhaust fumes too. They will not provide you a loaner car after they agree with you that the REAR door is not sealing properly. Currently freezing wet and salty air are entering the car as I write this review. Oregans Toyota Dartmouth has offered zero apologies. Toyota Dartmouth is only interested in your money. They do not care about your safety, health, or your vehicles health. They will face the consequences for ignoring my health concerns. They will be 100% responsible for any salt and moisture found past that hybrid battery air intake filter. This could cause my battery to fail at any time. The dealer will not disclose that they did anything to address the exhaust fume issue after spending a whole day of "diagnosing" the exhaust fume issue. They spent 3 hours with my car on idle, heat on full blast with ac and be excited to tell you that they didnt find any moisture afterwards. When you ask the manager how does this identify the exhaust fumes entering the car ? They will become pissy and rage at you for calling out that they wasted the whole day of diagnosis on something that wouldnt fix the problem. This is after telling them that their corolla hybrid (brand new) had much less wind noise then mine (same car mine just had more km). I told them this at 9am the same day of that service and they dont begin service till 930am. The manager said "you only told us that 6 hours ago". Yeah and you wasted all 6 of those hours on something you knew wouldnt solve the problem. So even after giving them the proper identification that its a wind intrusion problem, they will continue to waste time focusing on diagnosis they know will lead to nothing. Good sales team. Worst auto service in all of canada. My whole family drives Toyota. I love the car. I cannot feel safe driving the car and am reminded of the awful service every time I inhale exhaust fumes. Making me miss my 2014 Honda accord. That car had zero warranty problems for me. The added stress of having to deal with this dealership's service has made me lose all trust in this dealership. I have lost trust in the vehicle itself now that it has been poisoned by this awful service team. I am worried my hybrid battery will be damaged. I am worried I could pass out behind the wheel when I get smoked out with exhaust. If you want your car treated right. This is the last place I would take it for auto service.

We got our annual vehicle inspection done here just a couple weeks ago and, even though we weren't pleased with the results, were happy with who helped us. The inspection itself only took about an hour. That's from the time the car was dropped off to the time of the call saying it was ready. We were pretty impressed with the speediness of their business. Sadly, the car had too many problems with it and wasn't necessarily worth fixing. We really appreciated that, when phoned by a mechanic at Todds, we were told exactly what was wrong, approximately how much it would cost and how long it would take. What we truly appreciated was the mechanic telling us it probably wasn't worth to fix. Normally a mechanic will just do the work and take your money, no matter how necessary it was. So now we're in need of a new car, but at least we don't feel cheated by the person doing the inspection. We were satisfied with the result and service at Todds, but certainly not happy about needing a newer car.

They are sort of hidden from any main traffic off Creighton street, but they are always busy. We need to book a week in advance to make sure we can get in when we want to; which is slightly inconvenient, but they are a great garage so it comes with the territory. Here's an example of the great service. We brought our car in for a safety check last year and the car failed; we needed to get close to a $1000 in repairs. We asked Craig for a list of things that had to be done, which he gladly gave even after we told him we were going to a friend's garage to do the work, and didn't charge us for the inspection. We still go there and will still be going there for a while.
