I don't usually leave reviews, but I feel like I need to share my experience…read more I brought my puppy in because she was shaking her ears a lot and it seemed like something was irritating them. I also mentioned her coughing/gagging symptoms during the visit. The doctor we saw was Dr. Ledezma. We came in thinking it would be a simple ear cleaning, but she ended up being prescribed medication and additional ear treatment. After they put it on her at the clinic, her ears actually got worse and it looked like some irritation may have affected the skin on her ears, so I didn't even use it and had to take her to another vet for a different opinion and to have everything re-checked and cleaned again. For her other symptoms, I was told it was likely related to her recent spay surgery. Later on, another clinic immediately identified it as kennel cough just by examining her throat. I also want to mention she is a shelter puppy, which I did tell them. Knowing that, I would've expected kennel cough to at least be considered as a possibility, since it is very common in shelter dogs, but that wasn't brought up during the visit. During the exam, I also didn't feel very confident in the explanation given, and the overall visit felt unclear. Overall, I ended up spending close to $200 and still had to seek additional care elsewhere shortly after. I did reach out directly before leaving a review to try and resolve things first. They did offer a refund for the medication, which I appreciate, but that was the only adjustment offered. I was still asked to call in to complete the refund due to my overnight work schedule, and they only offered to refund the medication, not the ear-related charges (swab, cleaning, and exam), which made up most of the visit cost. For context, the breakdown was roughly: exam fee ($70), ear swab ($40+), ear cleaning ($40+), and medication ($40+). I've brought my other dog to this clinic before and had good experiences, which is why I initially chose to bring my puppy here. The vet assistants here was are always so nice I can say that. Having a new shelter puppy is already stressful, and this experience added unnecessary stress and additional vet visits that likely could have been avoided. I wish I had paid closer attention to the more mixed reviews beforehand. I'm sharing this just so other pet owners can make a more informed decision. I will not reach out again as this whole situation was just a lot and I gave them an opportunity to resolve this with a few emails back and forth.

Nala always experienced anxiety when visiting the vet, and I couldn't bear the thought of her last day being filled with stress and fear. If you're on the fence about in-home euthanasia for your beloved pet, I can wholeheartedly say that Peace for Paws is worth it. Dr. Sarena and her team were prompt, professional, compassionate, and incredibly caring throughout the entire process. They helped make a heartbreaking goodbye as peaceful and dignified as possible. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for providing such a wonderful service. We will always be grateful for the kindness and comfort you brought to Nala and our family.

The website had wonderful suggestions on how to set your pet up in a relaxing area, how to handle the other pets maybe wanting to say goodbye, and what to expect throughout the process. I especially appreciated Dr. Olsen walking us through each step again when she was onsite. Sometimes it is difficult to remember what we read as we are actually in the process and focusing on our last minutes with our beloved. Dr. Olsen was near but not hovering so we didn't feel rushed at all; we controlled the pace at all times. She made in-the-minute suggestions that I'm so glad she asked since I know I would have regretted not doing so. For instance, she and I lovingly put my sweet dog into a basket after she left us and Dr. Olsen asked if I would like to carry her out. I balked at first but I'm so glad I did. It helped in my process of letting my darling go. Dr. Olsen had made the back of her SUV a loving tribute as I slid the basket into the back of the vehicle with a blanket for the basket to lay on and a beautiful sentiment nearby on an easel. I'm grateful to Dr. Olsen for making this difficult time as peaceful and calm as it could be. I'm so glad we chose Peace for Paws.

we cant thank this place enough for what they did for our boy koa…read more we called after waiting over two hours at tropicana animal hospital to even be seen or taken seriously, as soon as we arrived, they immediately started working on koa. they did stress the urgency of the situation and were able to work around our financial situation to run tests and figure out what was going on. unfortunately, due to the nature of the situation, koa needed to have whatever it was that was in his stomach removed surgically which only worried us more due to our financial situation. however, this amazing team saw that koa was a good candidate to recieve treatment and had a good chance of recovery and we were able to utilize donations from other donors that were able to cover his surgery and keep him overnight for multiple nights. now koa is finally back home! they sent us home with meds and instructions for post surgery for the next two weeks. although the situation was extremely critical, the doctors never pressured us, never made us feel bad for our situation and was always thorough when they explained each step and never left us hanging. we were always able to visit koa and walk him and other owners around us even told us constantly how great this place was. as pricy as it was, this is an EMERGENCY room and not your regular vet. don't think we would of received the same care and urgency anywhere else. THANK YOU for saving our boy koa we are extremely grateful.

When we walked in the girl who greeted us was so nice, then the vet walked over (I didn't get her name) and said "tell me in one sentence why you're here"... wth. I don't know where to begin to describe the last 12 hours in one sentence so I'm kinda stammering and I mentioned I gave my dog medicine and she rudely interrupts and asks what kind and I had trouble remembering the exact name of it and she was just unnecessarily rude about it and tells us to go wait for an exam. I walk away thinking ok, this is an emergency vet, maybe she's just busy and overwhelmed and I go sit, then the next dog walks in and she treated them completely differently. She didn't give them the "one sentence" rule. It was clear whatever her problem was it was with me so I left. Other than that the facility was clean and everyone else was very friendly and seemed helpful.

They took us back super quick, went over diagnostic options and did some tests. Still waiting on blood work results which I agreed to be necessary and not unreasonable considering my dogs age and unusal symptoms. They gave us some meds and we were on our way. Gave dog meds when we got home (and after we stopped at Inn and out for a dog patty). Within 3 hours just like the vet said he got up and was looking around for food. I had tried giving him plain chicken, rice, 3 different types of wet food and meatballs all within the 4 days and he refused to eat. Well, happy to say the meds and the vet recommendations worked and my pup is eating again! He scarfed down the beef patty. I was literally jumping for joy. I was so worried I was going to go in and they were going to give me horrible news or tell me they needed me to put him down. He is a great dog and usually full of energy and love prior to this sickness. I had a good feeling about the facility and doctor and glad I made the choice to take my dog in to be seen by this facility. I truly think he is on his way to better health and a bit more life and love to give us. Thank you!!

Really sad to be writing this, as I tried several times to like this vet's office. I even spoke…read morewith the office manager separately about my experiences because I genuinely loved the two different doctors I worked with. Unfortunately, literally everything else outside of the exam room fell short. We initially brought our 2 year old pup in for a same-day appointment for blood in her urine. Paid over $1,000 in tests, and when a staff member we'd never seen before handed our dog back with a white bag, she tried to walk away without saying a word. No test results, no explanation of the meds, nothing. We had to stop her from walking away just to find out what was going on. A few weeks later, my dog chipped a tooth at the groomer. Since the groomer was covering it, I desperately needed documentation: an invoice, estimate, and medical notes. I asked the day of the appointment and I received nothing. Called the next morning and was promised by end of day, nothing. Left a frantic voicemail - received only the estimate (the one showing how much money they were getting). The moment I finally asked to speak to a manager, all the notes magically appeared in my inbox immediately. On the day of the dental procedure, the surgery tech had zero idea about the chipped tooth, had no record of the full blood panel she'd just had two weeks prior, and hadn't looked at the estimate I'd already signed. I asked for a call before she went under anesthesia to discuss EKG and X-ray findings. He agreed and noted it. Three and a half hours later with no call, I called them. I got bounced between four different people, having to re-explain myself every time, until a guy answered with the most horrendous phone etiquette I've ever experienced. He was rude and dismissive. I mentioned how I was nervous because my dog had been to the dentist a handful of times already and never went under anesthesia for it to which he responded, "well per Nevada law..." ok bud. Got it. When my boyfriend went to pick her up, they handed him a "new patient" form to fill out... the exact same paperwork with our sensitive info (including my Social Security number) that I had filled out on day one. While our dog was recovering from anesthesia, they wanted us re-doing paperwork because they apparently lost everything. He also asked for the receipt to be emailed so I could send it to the groomer; instead, she printed it out. He thanked her, reminded her to email it, and she promised she would. She never did, forcing me to call yet again the next day. When I asked why we had to fill out new forms and she let me know they lost and had no record of our info. I asked "you guys lost the forms that I wrote my SSN on?" Then I was told "we shred all our paperwork." Comforting. As someone who works in the hospitality industry, I pride myself on being understanding and as far from a "difficult customer" as possible. But this staff made it genuinely hard not to lose my mind. Like I stated, the vets and the office manager are wonderful people. It's just deeply disappointing that we won't be returning, solely due to a systemic lack of basic competence and care from the front office and support staff.
