Nachos were amazing!! Chips stayed crispy to the very end. Very friendly staff and a nice little bar area. Good beer selection and has a full service bar. Told my friend to take me back here when I visit again!

I came here to try out their prime rib, which seemed a decent price from other places I had tried. Unfortunately I was left underwhelmed. While the sides were decent, the prime rib itself tasted more like ham, and didn't have a beefy flavor. While it was medium rare like I asked, it still seemed a little on the dry side. Atmosphere was fine, and they have live music if that is something you enjoy . Drinks were good It will be a one time visit for me

Wow, 1st time coming here since it was another place. Came with friends and we got chicken enchiladas, Carne asada tacos, and the Rib-eye, cooked perfectly. Raynaldo was playing. He's absolutely amazing. Follow him for amazing music or have him play your wedding! https://www.instagram.com/raynaldomartine?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

Burrito 'wet' with red and green sauce

We were sad to see wildwood go, but today we checked out their replacement Rancho El Agave. The space is getting a little more decorative. Service was very friendly. I ordered carnitas and a side of avocado slices - carnitas was really juicy and flavorful. I really enjoyed it. The avocado was nice too. My husband ordered the carne asada burrito. They did actually bring him a carnitas burrito but he didn't say anything because he loved it anyway. He got it 'wet' with half green sauce and half red and said he'd do that again next time too. Chips and salsa were great too. Overall a great experience especially considering the just barely opened so still getting things going. We will be back again for sure.

Beet Salad with Shrimp

Okay, really bummed. LOVED the carne asada the last time, but this visit it was WAY overdone . If I wasn't under a time constraint, I would have sent it back. We had a group of seven adults, two infants and one toddler. The service was fantastic, but when paying $300 for this group, I expected the experience to be top notch and it wasn't. I was hoping this would be my "go to" restaurant for Mexican food. My wife loved the beet salad on our last visit, but it has been removed from the menu. The rest of the food got decent reviews from our group. The restaurant has very limited hours. Really not sure what to think.

Title: Perfect Venue for Special Celebrations! Review: "Rancho El Agave was the perfect choice for my daughter's 18th birthday celebration. They flawlessly accommodated our large group of 40+ guests with ease. The food selection was diverse and satisfying even for the pickiest eaters, and the quality exceeded our expectations. The attentive and friendly staff made the experience truly exceptional. We'll definitely be back for more celebrations!"

Moved to Oceanside from Los Angeles and have been searching for a great Mexican restaurant in my area. Haven't found one that is my go to like the many I have back in LA; however, I've finally found the one! Rancho El Agave has a superb and inviting authentic Mexican atmosphere. The staff was great, the food delicious, and the drinks strong! I've found my go to spot! Not to mention, the night I went was live music as well.

Came for the bottomless mimosas & baseball game out on the patio. Our waitress Lindsey was very attentive and made sure to check in on us often.

Sunday brunch was amazing! If you haven't checked it out you need too! Lindsey was our server & very attentive, food was great & so was the ambiance.

I'm having such a great time here right now. Karaoke sing party. KJ Vic is great. Everyone is going off. Lots of disco, country, new wave. Come check this out!

This place is a hidden gem! Amazing food and vibe, the staff are all friendly and welcoming. There's live music often, a cozy equipale chairs and fireplace at the bar, delicious food and drinks. There's nothing else like it in Vista!

Inside the front door; first of several very nice surfboards.

About the same as it was when it was Mexican (regional) cuisine from its prior purveyors. Not too sure of the menu as it is as diverse and interruptingly confusing as any AmMex menu I have seen. A little of this, and a little of that; but most of what we had, should not be on anyone's menu. It wasn't anything to order again. Positives, they do have a bar and music. Service on this Tuesday lunch seemed to be one guy in front of the house, and probably one guy in the back. Not real fast and not real efficient. Food came out somewhat timely, but was not accompanied by any ounce of service touchpoints. We do want to try their Sunday breakfast and Prime Rib dinner. We feel there should be something (food wise) they serve that draws the better reviews. Otherwise this is, as it always has been, a locals' bar/happy hour hangout. They just happen to have food...and music (we have yet to). Dicks

Ask the Community - Rancho El Agave

Do they allow parties of 8 right now?

I saw a patio when I picked some food up there last week. Unless there is some ordinance against it right now the patio looked large enough to accommodate larger parties.

Does this place have a dance floor? Is there plenty of seating to listen to the band on a Saturday night or standing room only?

Do they serve brunch/bottomless mimosas on Saturday?

$8.00 Sunday Brunch

Do they only serve brunch on Sundays?

Yes, WildWood Crossing offers brunch items on Sundays. We will also be hosting special brunches for holidays like Easter and Mother's day.

My husband and I were consistently blown away throughout the meal. We had a few cocktails (one was the verde) and all of them were exceptionally crafted, balanced and well priced. What really shocked us was how good the food was. These were chef driven dishes with phenomenal flavor profiles and execution. Genuinely was blown away by the charred broccoli and the cabbage dish. I would venture to say I preferred the broccoli dish here than to somewhere like Campfire. On that final note, I'll say we typically go to State street or Encinitas/Solana/Oceanside for our date nights but please, give this place a try. They were so so good! 10/10 from two vegetarians

I parked in the garage that's closest (shared with apartments). Prices were reasonable, food was pretty good, beer tasted like to was supposed to. What could have made it better? The service. It was slow and not super pleasant. It didn't seem too busy anywhere in the place so I'm not sure what the delays were. Maybe the server was new, but she didn't seem too happy and forgot my drink. When she finally came back to check on us she asked if I would like to order a drink (umm, I just want to beer that I ordered ten minutes ago, please). I'd go again if others chose to meet up there... and just hope for the best.

FOOD: - hot potatoes: has a pickled radish and some sort of crème sauce that was so good - these were my husband's favorite. - chicken satay: It came with pickled cucumber (think when it's cucumber kimchi, but it wasn't a kimchi type of marinade). The peanut sauce had a little spice (if you don't have any spice tolerance I would avoid the sauce, but it was sooo good). This was my favorite. - khao soi curry (has egg noodles) and that was delicious. We added the brisket to it which was a good add. My husband ate his so fast and I had to make him not take any more so we could have leftovers! DRINKS: - we got complimentary champagne for our anniversary which was so so sweet of them and made our night! The champagne itself was actually one of the best champagnes I have had. It had a nice sweetness to it. - my husband had the thai lager, which he said was okay. It tasted like most lagers he's had. - we shared the tangerine you are my sex machine as it sounded interesting and i do have to say this was the only thing we weren't big fans of. it was very smokey, but my husband put "old boat motor" in my head and that's all we could taste. if you love smokey drinks this would be for you. - I had a house cocktail that I cannot remember the name of for the life of me, but it was sweet, peachy (I think) and had champagne in it from what I remember. It was so good and would get it again! The vibe inside the restaurant was cool and there are over 30 tigers (our server counted for us, but she said she couldn't even find them all). The bathrooms were cute and very clean. 10/10 recommend. The check even came in a romance novel!

I think everything really complimented each other well from the music to the art to the menu, it was great! Our server was nice as we were indecisive with even such a small menu, we had a hard time. The drinks were good and strong, unique and creative. Which I guess when you're going out and want to stay on theme, it works. We had the coconut broth hamachi which was so lip-smackingly addictive with those wonton chips! I would come back just for that dish! The chicken satay skewers were also delicious and the sauce that came with it was a good mix of sweet, savory, spicy and salty. I do think from there it was kind of just okay? I got the half fried chicken which smelled a fish sauce glaze and that's what I went in expecting but there was no punch of that fish sauce flavor you know? It needed a bit more pop. BF got the pork belly banh mi bowl which I guess in theory why would you get that at a Thai place? But the pork belly was hard and firm, not as you'd expect it to be which was dissapointing. Our friends got the Khao Soi which was delicious I do have to say and the Panang with Brisket. I think it was cool to try but im just stuck in my ways and prefer the ole mom and pop down the road with more options. But its fun for a night out!
