Excellent! Came here as part a large group of uber foodie and very critical San Francisco Bay Area (California) diners who gathered here the other night. A couple of us were actual Mexicans. That everyone loved their food is nothing short of a miracle. We are a group of extended family members who have been traveling Europe for a couple months now mostly staying in Spain, France and Italy, and after two months of travel we were Jonesing for some good authentic Mexican food --this place delivered in spades. This place is absolutely delicious. I ordered the mole enchiladas with rice and beans. The mole was flavorful and exactly what I expect from a well made mole. It was a great amount of food for the price. I also got a strawberry daiquiri and a few modelos which was a great compliment to the meal. Wow! Best food I have had in all of Granada! The best Mexican food I've had, and I am from California-- so that's saying a LOT! Amazing service, they speak English, bring out so many dishes, everything made from scratch, and the owner/chef comes out, talks to you, let's you try dishes, and is the kindest most fun woman to make friends with! I love Granada but I'm coming back for this restaurant the most. If you want to try the best guac ever, come here. I recommend the chicken fajitas, tacos al pastor (they have pineapple in them!), and guac! My favorite Mexican restaurant in all the world!!! The best food I've had since traveling all of Europe for the last two months! So happy to have discovered this lovely spot after long travels. After having nothing but Italian and Spanish food for months straight (Yes, lovely food, but it gets boring), it was such a welcome relief to finally find good quality Mexican food ...and in Spain of all places!!! The beans are clearly made from scratch. So smooth and delicious. The Mexican rice is delicate and flavorful with pronounced individual grains-- not the mushy stuff you get at the chain, run-of-the-mill Mexican restaurants. The tacos Al Pastore are to die for with real pineapple to offset the Smokey spice. The mango margaritas leave you with a comfortable buz. My brother had the beer margarita which he loved. The guacamole is some of the best I've tasted ever, and I am from California (although I'm told that offering is only seasonal... so sorry if you come off season because this place is the bomb with the guac ). This is the most deliciously authentic Mexican place I've been to, and i've traveled Mexico extensively, and I am from California! So happy to find this place and sing it's praises. GO! Amazing Mexican food in Spain! My cousin is vegetarian and they did him good! The chicken fajitas and chilaquiles were so bomb. The best dish we had by far was the tacos al pastor! There was fresh pineapple in the tacos and the seasoning was on fire! SO SO SO GOOD! Highly recommend if you're in Grenada. The owners and workers are super nice and personable! What a great opportunity for a quick Mexican fix in Granada!!!! If you're looking for legit Mexican - it isn't - but it's darn close. We ate all over the menu .. burrito, flautas, quesidillas, rice, beans .. good stuff. What the margarita was lacking in flavor was made up in tequila .. dang that thing was strong! Lovely service, speaks English .. they were filling up quickly by the time we finished our lunch. There's a parking lot down the street a bit -- if you don't walk here, you aren't eating. As a Mexican, when I googled this place I figured it would be some type of text next with a Spanish twist at best... Boy am I glad that I was WRONG! It was very authentic and super delicious! I definitely recommend the tacos al pastor! And if you like spicy ask for the red salsa to put on your food. Michelle, the owners daughter, was wonderful and chatted me and the other girl in there up! She was so friendly and sweet and even invited us to a drink on the house. I am from San Francisco, a city known for its great authentic Mexican food, especially in the Mission district. I came to Granada to visit for the summer. Over the course of the summer I got homesick so I decided to try a Mexican restaurant. I am more than happy I decided to check out Ranchito Mexicano. I've been here more times than I can count on one hand and every time I leave satisfied and extremely happy. Not only is the service up to par, but the quality and authenticity of the food is unbeatable. It reminds me of home and even beats the taste of most place back home. Not sure what reviewer Sam B's problem was but this restaurant is fantastic for Mexican food in Spain... the portion sizes are actually much larger than they need to be. Mexican varies upon region. Out of the four Mexican places I've tried in Granada, this one was the least terrible. The margarita was bad, just water and lime juice. The salsa was actually pretty good, and had a decent kick. The food was alright, not exactly authentic but certainly enjoyable. My main issue was with the size of the portions. I have been living in Spain for quite some time and I know (and am generally grateful) that portions are smaller than what is considered 'normal' in the US. But my friend and I ordered three full sized entrees (enchiladas, a chimichanga and nachos) and ate every bite, and still left feeling less than full. If you're in Granada and desperate for some Mexican I'd recommend this place over any other, but don't get too excited, and don't go on an empty stomach. read more

Came in for lunch today... It was good. I had the quesadillas since they offer pork and chicken as meat options... I really miss my carne asada! Lol Anywho, I think the quesadillas would taste better if the tortilla was fried..just a suggestion :) the beans and accompanying mild and spicy sauces were good as well... All in all not bad...
