A week before, I had obtained my blood test orders and gone to Quest Diagnostics at (06:00), where Lluvia efficiently made the draw and later faxed the results to Dr. Munoz. I got over my initial shock upon seeing a former colleague, Carmen, who was accompanying her husband; my pleasure was doubled to meet receptionist Lulu, an exceptionally friendly professional who quickly got me in. She surprised me a bit at her magnificent ability, considering the large waiting room was rather full of patients (only a portion of whom were to see Dr. Munoz). I was taken aback slightly upon meeting Dr. Munoz, anticipating that he would shower me with good news about the results. Although all my numbers looked good, he was a bit grim about my white cell count--until I told him that I had donated platelets at UBS. To be on the safe side, he gave me a follow-up draw orders, not to be completed for at least a week, giving my bones time to make new blood. He also understood why I moved a bit slowly--my orthopaedist, Dr. Urrea, had told me a decade ago that I had premature arthritis, and now it is MATURE arthritis. Regardless that my knee is a bit gamey, I can still pedal. Indeed, I participated in the Rio Bravo segment of the international Chupacabra bike race held just South across the river, in Cd. Juarez, Mexico, Saturday. Talk about a great event; even better was my unwitting participation! Anyway, if you need superior primary care, you can certainly get it here, especially from Dr. Munoz. If you know you take an hour per patient, then schedule 1 patient an hour. I ended up waiting HOURS for appointments. The last time I was there, I knew I was having a miscarriage and my husband had missed work to come with me for support. I kept telling them that he had to go soon after they were 2 hours past my appt. They didn't care. Finally he had to leave and come to find out I was having an ectopic pregnancy and had to go to the hospital for methotrexate. Also, I have NEVER been treated so poorly by a medical office front desk staff. There were a few other little things that ultimately led me to the decision that this health care provider was not a good match for me. So, as long as you don't mind rude front desk staff and wasting hours of your day sitting waiting for you appt, then maybe you'll like this practice!

I have never had problems with making an appointment with Dr. Borrego and when I arrive for my appointments the wait time is within 10-15 minutes. Dr. Borrego listens and has always provided me with extra time if I needed clarification on symptoms/medications. He welcomes my input and has provided me and my family with excellent medical care for the last 10 years. The staff has always been professional and friendly. I have been to all three locations and have received quality care from Dr. Borrego, the offices are clean and family friendly. Supportive environment when I'm feeling sick.

The message identified the name of the clinic, said, "It looks like something went wrong. Please call our office." How shocking and alarming since my husband is experiencing health problems, and we are working with several doctors. At opening time on March 26, I contacted United Medical Clinic. The office manager, Perla, was not in. I spoke to Mari. She told me the message was an error and this message went out to others as well. What a disaster! I do not recommend this Clinic. There are other clinics that are more careful with technology!
