They do take walk-ins, but appointments are recommended. Ms. Jessica Hinson is one of Dr. Gonzalez's PA's, and she is amazing! She listens, and takes her time. I never feel that she is in a hurry to get to the next patient. When blood work is needed, it is convenient because they have a lab on the premises, you don't have to arrange to have it done elsewhere. They also can do EKG's if necessary. My entire family has all their health-care needs taken care of at Family Medical Associates!

I pleaded with them and advised that this bill had been paid, even after I provided documentation from the bank they continued with "overdue bill " notices. I finally got through and obtained an email address and AGAIN sent documentation of checks (front and back) and finally after months was advised that yes indeed bill had been paid and that my account showed the overpayment. I was assured that I would receive my refund in a week and it's now been 3 weeks and I've yet to receive my refund. I have tried contacting them and sending emails and have yet to receive any response. I find this very UNPROFESSIONAL to say the least. So very frustrated!!

I have never had problems with making an appointment with Dr. Borrego and when I arrive for my appointments the wait time is within 10-15 minutes. Dr. Borrego listens and has always provided me with extra time if I needed clarification on symptoms/medications. He welcomes my input and has provided me and my family with excellent medical care for the last 10 years. The staff has always been professional and friendly. I have been to all three locations and have received quality care from Dr. Borrego, the offices are clean and family friendly. Supportive environment when I'm feeling sick.

The office manager, Perla, was not in. I spoke to Mari. She told me the message was an error and this message went out to others as well. What a disaster! I do not recommend this Clinic. These people are on a first name patients with their patients & not just the Doctors, the entire staff! Once we got in to her exam room, the Medical Assistant, Jesse was taking her vitals & I told him that my Grandfather passed away & if there was anything he could do to get us through the appointment fast, it would be greatly appreciated because his services were in just a few hours. This staff sprung in to action! Jeff Taylor, the Nurse Practitioner who she was assigned to came in to the exam room, looked straight in to her eyes and sincerely apologized for her loss. He addressed her pain and distress in a professional and compassionate manor & we were on our way in no time. On the way out, she was hugged and greeted by this wonderful staff. I live in Los Angeles and can't be with my Grandmother but I'm so grateful for this caring staff & feel relieved that they care for her so well. It eases my mind like you wouldn't believe. I was finally seen an hour later, 3:45 pm. My provider was and has been very patient and thorough, however, after results and any questions I had I finally left at 4:00 pm. As much as I liked this practice I do not recommend it. They do advise of a 24 hour cancellation or there will be a charge and reschedule. I would, also, imagine my time is just as valuable as the office's and the providers. Right?! I'm, also, well aware that my phone call was being listened to while I waited in the room (I got a call asking about how much longer because we had plans). As soon as I complained to my partner and hung up, my provider walked in. I'm thinking of consulting an attorney just to know my rights as a patient and consumer. I want to know if I can charge for my time since the appointment wasn't honored in a timely manner. I suggest you do your homework and look for a provider that has good reviews and little to no negative feedback. Again, this is not my first visit here and ALL my visits have been lengthy.
