Duey's presents itself as an old school, midwestern bar. You walk in and you feel like you've…read morestepped back a couple decades. And then you look at the burger menu. This isn't your typical "burger and fries" joint. Smoked Gouda, caramelized onions and a wine sauce - on a burger - in Port Byron. It isn't over yet. Ghost pepper cheese served with jalapeños in reaper sauce - better have another beer ready to go. Overall, the food was excellent as was the service. Beer choices could please almost everyone - if not, there are plenty of whiskey choices. :-) I can't wait to go back to visit the other parts of the menu.

Well, he went with 10 Fried Shrimp instead and enjoyed his meal. For an appetizer, we got cheese curds and those were pretty good! My mom and I went with the fried blue gill but they ended up being out of it! Super bummed! We ended up going with the fried cod and I wouldn't get it again. It was pretty hard and crunchy and not as good as the fish we have back home in Indiana. My wife got the burger and really enjoyed it. The bartender is the one who took care of us and she did a great job until a few more people came and sat at the bar. Then it went downhill. We were trying to pay with a credit card but she never came back for it so we left cash instead. When it comes to ambiance, this is definitely a bar. 100%. I probably wouldn't bring a family here (even though it's all ages-there are loud gaming systems) but I can see how it's good enough for the bar scene. So it is what it is. I wouldn't be back for the food though.

The facilities are relatively new, look nice, and it has a great location next to the river (there…read moreis patio seating available on the river side). Our server, Ava, was attentive and helpful. I had The Drive Thru which is a smash burger with typical burger fixings and sauce (similar to what you might find on a Big Mac). It was a standard burger, done well. I was happy with it. My wife had soup and a Caesar pasta salad. I had a little of the latter and liked it. it is exactly how one would imagine it. My kid had mac n' cheese, which tasted like it was made from scratch--it was definitely better than we have found at a lot of other restaurants. I also had the blood orange lemonade, which was a nice twist on standard lemonade. My only complaint about the meal was that the fries tasted a little burned. They weren't--I think the oil in the fryer just needed to be replaced. For dessert, I had the deep fried cookie dough. They gave us a lot more than I was expecting. They served three of the balls, and each one was the size of a small orange. I can honestly say that this is a dish I have never tried before. I can't say that I loved it, but I appreciated trying something new. It could stand to be cooked a little more in the center (maybe make the balls smaller?). For the quality of the food, I think the pricing was absolutely fair. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I would definitely go back.

Phenomenal food, great staff, clean and comfortable. The…read moreonly complaint I would have would be the fact that the actual owners were also dining as well. They were loud and were spending so much time with the server that was taking care of them, that it was keeping her from being able to attend actual customers in a timely manner. I would have put 5 stars, but the aforementioned disturbance knocked it down to a 4. Maybe in the future the owners will take this to heart.
