I'm in love with the fried pickles. They are well prepared and not greasy. I also had a burger and fries which were cooked the way I preferred and arrived the way I desired. Overall, it's a decent place to grab food and drink and spend some time with friends. Easy going atmosphere. read more

If you want to see 99 bottles of beer on the wall, you're in luck. This place has 100. This is the place to visit if you are near Rock Island Arsenal for travel or driving through the Iowa/Illinois border. Ordering is done with logic. You get separate checks at the food line and beer line. The food is ok for bar food. I wouldn't come here for healthy choices. The beer is where it's at. Lots of options that will have you staring for a while before ordering. Everything is cheap, but digitally displayed and monitored. Overall, a place to stop at if you are in town. read more

Fun and easy! I stopped by for a late night snack. Very much bar food/restaurant. I call these types of options "children's heaven" as everything is finger food, kid friendly. Service was quick and this massive serving of fried heaven came out. Just a different vibe, I guess. Would recommend for families, groups and definitely not a romantic date. read more

Really great selection of unique beers BUT I cannot understand being a beer first establishment who serves primarily in plastic cups. Ruins the experience for me. read more

We are in town for a college visit and stopped here for lunch. Now I am crossing my fingers and toes that my daughter chooses St. Ambrose so that we have plenty of opportunities to eat (and drink) here again!! My Korean beef bowl was so delicious and exceeded my expectations and 100 beers on tap?!? Loved this place!! read more

We're visited a couple of times. It's very eclectic! The food is good, and not overly priced. If I lived closer, I would join the beer club for the fun of it! read more

Order food when you come in the door. Get a number and take a seat anywhere. Order the chicken tendies, the best in town. They even give me two sauces no extra charge, bonus!! Huge beer selection...100 taps to be exact. Always great customer service. Outdoor patio is huge but not dog friendly unfortunately. Fun vibe inside or out. read more

Great lay out for a large group or for kids. Solid tap list of 90 beers, mostly focused on locals. Needed a couple more stouts to up the game. The food was great, Korean chicken bowl was top notch, as were the fried Oreo's. I'd come back. read more

I know the main attraction is a selection of beers, which is great, but I ordered the Eileen hamburger. Don't bother wasting your time. It was overcooked, crusty and crappy, terribly disappointed.. It was not good at all. I should've sent it back, but I've been a little sick so I really couldn't taste it. The only thing I noticed was a crunchy edges on it, which was not pleasant at all. I'd never eat there again and another reason I didn't say anything. It's cause it's only a 10 $11 hamburger so you can't expect much for a $10 hamburger however I can recommend the beers. They have plenty on tap and it's great that alone gain four stars, but I judge it against the food and it's terrible so don't waste your time. read more

Got a family to-go order here recently. (We were originally planning to eat on the patio, called ahead to ask about heaters, and were assured that it would be doable. Once we got there, it was clear that the heater wasn't sufficient to fight off a midwestern winter.) While we waited for the order to be prepared, we had a little drink in the bar area. I'm not a beer person, but I've never seen a wall of beer taps like that here: 30'+ long. I had good buffalo wings, but my side waffle fries were nowhere to be found (as was another order of waffle fries.) I did scam up some fries from a family member: pretty good. We got several appetizers: the soft pretzels were quite good, cheese curds and fried pickles were good, chicken Philly egg rolls ok. We got an order of fried Oreos, which tasted good but lost any crunch as a result of the transportation and being eaten last. Service was minimal on the to-go order, but fine. read more

Forgive me, but I must admit as a Californian I was not expecting to see a Vietnamese Banh Mi sandwich option on the menu. Buy am I glad I ordered it because the pork was so flavorful, tender and juicy! Like this was legit super good, and to top it off my buddy and I were there on a Monday night where you get a free beer with the order of a meal so bonus for that. Their craft beer selection was literally overwhelming too read more

Great casual atmosphere with a massive selection of draft beers, and the digital menu boards made it easy to navigate the impressive list. Ordering food at the counter was a quick and efficient too. My friend went with one of their famous burgers, and it did not disappoint, she loved it. I went with the Korean chicken bowl and it was positively one of the best I've ever had. Definitely recommend this place. read more

Their food has gone done hill here. What happened? :'( I love the outdoor fun, but what happened to the food at this location. It used to be epic! Everything is dry, and well quite frankly completely off the menu! Man I miss the old menu. I hope the food gets better here, because it was what made the price worth it! Sorry. :/ read more

Great spot for a beer and a meal. They have indoor seating as well as many outdoor seating set up. Great people with cool decor. They offer great daily deals on food and drinks that they post and make easily known. They have a huge selection of beers on tap, and the board prices reflect the special offers. Ordering food is easy and the food comes out pretty quick. Good service and friendly employees. Great place to enjoy a drink and a game. Prices are great. Highly recommend read more

The food is not bad bar food. Extremely greasy, if that's what you like. That's the only reason for 3 stars (greasy food isn't my thing). Service is excellent every time and it's a really good spot to grab a drink and chill with friends. They have a dog friendly patio and games outside. read more

Their menu recently changed and I'm psyched they have a bunch of veggie options. Tried the veggie philly tonight and it was pretty good! Never had a "real" philly to compare this to, but I would get this again. Their fries are also on the thin side, which I like. Husband had the $.75 wings tonight (Sunday special). They don't have buffalo sauce so he got the Frank's red hot and said it was good because they didn't overdo it on the sauce. Also 100 beers on tap, you can't go wrong! read more

Our favorite casual lunchtime restaurant. The food and service is casual and quick but high quality. We eat on the huge patio whenever weather allows. The beer, hard cider and cocktail selection is the best in the region. Highly recommended! read more

Armored Gardens easily gets 5 stars from me. They have a massive beer selection, an awesome outdoor space, and some pretty delicious food too. Burgers all charred. Great bear choices! It is self serve so I guess the service was excellent

I haven't had an opportunity to eat barbecue at Armored Gardens, but have now visited the bar side twice and find it thoroughly enjoyable! There are approximately 10,000 beers on tap making the menu difficult to read, but if you're motivated (/blind) enough, it's available on their official website as well. The menu is also organized by type of beer. Given that so much of the beer is made by independent breweries the higher price tag came as no surprise, though I did note on Thursday afternoon that they were advertising $5 domestic pitchers. Then there's the facility itself: AMAZING. The attention to detail is stunning. Vintage pictures and knick-knacks vie for space on every crowded wall. And the games. SO MANY! There are a dozen or so board games available for your recreational pleasure inside and if you step outside you'll find ping pong, beer pong, a putting green, and giant chess. If you're bored at Armored Gardens, the problem is you. I love this place! Tentatively excited to come back for a meal. The only complaint I have is that when I came on a weekend night it was very loud. Those high ceilings create an echo that you'll really notice when it's crowded. However, for weekday drinking, Armored Gardens is first rate. Go see for yourself! read more

This review is specific to the food. The service was pretty good on the bar side, as was the 'counter service' for the food. Everything that's supposed to be fresh is fresh, and the ingredients look to be quality. The downside? Bad cooking. They seem to be attempting the smashed burger trend, but fall flat on the execution. The burgers are smashed to oblivion, likely several times during the process, until there's no juice left in the patty, and no seasoning. I tried the burger twice, with the same result. I've had about every smash style burger in town, and this one ranks last. Total shame, because the pickles and lettuce and bun were high quality, though the bun not toasted, which should probably be a given, with it's minimum $11.50 price tag. Another trip had me craving fried cheese curds. They looked to be breaded on site (plus), but again, the execution failed. the breading wasn't done, though cheese popped out of the coating on over half, meaning the oil was either past it's prime, or not the right temperature. The ranch dressing they offered on the side was definitely made on site. Using the dressing turned out to be a drippy mess, as it was too thin and runny. They might've gotten one more star, but everything on their menu is priced at a point that the food better be executed properly. My cheese curds were $12! Next time I'm downtown looking for food, maybe I should head to Kitchen Brigade @ Stompbox . read more

Plethora of BEER!!!! From all areas and breweries. Of course they have the usual selection's. Food as well and kids are welcome.

More beer on tap than heaven. Haven't had the food. You should try it. Yelp sucks.dkd

I would do something unspeakable for one of their cheeseburgers and some sidewinder fries right now. So. Good. I'm also a fan of their counter service as opposed to having to deal with someone waiting on us. The patio is awesome, especially when the weather breaks in the spring. I often opt for this place when rolling through the QC and we need a place for good food, bar, and room for an open-ended group meetup. It is a great spot for group outings, which, let's be honest, can be a double-edged sword when it comes to attracting packs of unruly bros. Thankfully, I've noticed they aren't afraid to kick out obnoxious groups and keep the space safe and family friendly if it ever needs to come to it. read more

Can't go wrong with this fun, laid back atmosphere. Very clean, have absolutely any kind of beer you would want on tap or mix drink made with a smile. The food is amazing. The staff is welcoming and after your 2nd or 3rd time coming in the door they know you by name. Overpriced//Tasteless food//Rude Staff//Terrible Music While there are a wide variety of beers to choose from they are wayyyy overpriced. The food selection is slim and has little to no taste. The staff has been incredible rude on multiple occurrences and I've also heard many stories from other people. Also constantly playing weird techno DJ music so loud you can't have a conversation and the "manager" was chain smoking and vaping outside honest to god her entire shift. If you don't mind spending too much on basic domestic beer and having an unpleasant customer service experience while having your ears blasted by a wannabe EDM DJ - then I recommend armored gardens. read more
