Heaven is a place in Portrush - the Ramore really is one of my favourite places on the planet. The food is so good that it really is difficult to get across the mouth wateringness of this place in words! And the portions, the huge fabulous portions are just perfect for a glutton like me. Where to start when describing the menu? Think juicy grilled meats and fish, calorie loaded but oh so good sauces and the miracle that is tobacco onions - think spirals of onion coated in something delish and then deep fried to perfection. Oh, did I mention that you REALLY need to leave all awareness and thoughts of counting calories or fat grams at the door. I always order the chilli fillet steak in pitta bread with sour cream and chilli potato skins with a side order of salad. Even the salad is exceptional. No limp lettuce in the Ramore, this salad has things like marinated mushrooms, baby onions in balsamic vinegar and roasted red peppers going on. The desserts are the stuff of your dreams. One is called St Honore and has to be seen to be believed - a rocky road base, home made honeycome, a huge profiterole at a jaunty angle on the side and a whole cow's worth of cream. The Ramore is always jammed which is a testament to how good it is and creates a very buzzy vibe but means that you sometimes have to wait for a table. Take consolation from the fact that you can stare at the desserts in the chiller while you wait! There are lots of fab quirky touches like tap water served in wine bottles which the kids will love. Ask for a table overlooking the harbour and you'll have a great view while you load up and then roll out the door for a walk by the sea afterwards.

harbour burger. a must get! the pepper cream sauce is everything.

My friends talked this place up all day, and they were so right about it! We had a dinner reservation and all ten of us were seated right away. The atmosphere was very fun and young, yet classy with a hint of sophisticated. We all got drinks and were quick to order our meals. I had the harbour burger and WOW it was great. The meat was cooked very well and was perfectly juicy. The tobacco onions and pepper cream were perfect. I could give the pepper cream sauce a five star review even if it stood alone. They say the desert bar is where it's at. I ended up selecting one desert and it was fine. I can't recall exactly what I had but it was a large slice and although I was full I kept on eating. I think the main course is what really stole the show. It's been a month since I've eaten hear and I still am craving that pepper sauce. Make sure you squeeze that into your meal no matter what you get!!

Fab place. Food is good quality and cheap. The venue is run like a well oiled machine. There are lots of staff and they are fast at serving. Deserts are disappointing especially because the mains and the rest of the food are so nice. You have to wait in a queue outside to get in. Although if you are at the front you will be inside or under cover. I am never sure what time this place opens.the times always seem to change. Says one thing online and a different when you get there. Was there on a Friday and doors open at 5pm. God time to que is about 4.30pm. There are lots of seats to fit a good crowd in the place. Most people seem to order burgers. The pasta looks to be the most disappointing thing other than the desserts. The tables could be further apart. Although it's good to see what everyone else is eating.lol

Fantastic. Need I say more? Living in London, I ALWAYS make sure to get a trip in at the wine bar every time I am home. This is the place to go on the north coast for food. Fillet wellington with chilli fries, followed by a sticky toffee pudding. Heaven. Also worth a mention are the Parmesan fries which are also delicious. Expect a lengthy wait at peak times- no bookings- but take a raffle ticket and head to the harbour bar next door to await your table and revel in the expectation.

My girlfriend and I stopped here for a late lunch on our road trip of Northern Ireland. It was recommended to us by our B&B host and it did not disappoint. It has an interesting layout overlooking the harbour. The place is a cross between a gastropub and a family restaurant. A large, open space with plenty of seating space, a medium sized bar where you order from and the attention-grabbing cake counter/display that will tempt even those who always choose the savoury option! The crowd is mostly local families, lots of kids running around. But honestly, the food is so good and the staff are so friendly that everyone is just so happy. I had a beautiful grilled salmon on a bed of mixed fresh salads ranging from quinoa, couscous with grilled veggies, baked potatoes and sauteed mushrooms. Huge portion and so yum. The best part is you get to pick and mix from a huge range of salads from behind the cake counter. The cake display is really something. Beautifully arranged display with giant colourful merengues, mini pavlovas with blobs of cream and strawberries on top, strawberry cheesecake, tiramisu and more. Very inventive, creative and so many to choose from. The strawberry cheesecake was oozing heaven in every bite - a perfect balance of fruity and creamy. The mini pavlova was just the right amount of merengue with a thick dollop of vanilla cream on top. It cracked and crumbled just right with every forkful of cream. Yum!!! Don't miss this place if you're heading west from Ballycastle and the Giants Causeway.

    Rump steak, yum!

My favourite NI restaurant ever. Part of the Ramore complex of restaurants, you'll always find a queue here at the Wine Bar and rightly so. Order at the bar and grab your own cutlery before waiting for your meal to come out. I always order the peppered rump steak with tobacco onions and pepper cream sauce despite the fact that I keep telling myself I'll be more adventurous next time I go. I just can't stray from my favourite choice! The rump steak is full of flavour and there's zero fat, whilst the pepper cream sauce is creamy (obviously) and the tobacco onions are the best I've had. I love the busy atmosphere and the stunning views of Portrush Harbour too.

The boy loved his burger, however the vegetarian options were limited and once chosen disappointing.

The restaurant is popular the location is gorgeous and the service is great. Sadly with only 2 vegetarian options - a so called 'large' house salad (which was incredibly disappointing) or a goats cheese bruschetta - I doubt I'll be able to return which is a shame as its a really nice relaxed place.

We arrived a little early and were asked to wait while they prepared our table. We waited at some high tops next to the bar which were very clean and comfortable. The bar itself is very warmly lit and seems quietly intimate. Great place for a date though, in this case, we had our kids with us. Over all, the food and the service were excellent. The menu had a wide selection that would likely suit anyone's needs. We had a variety of food but I would say the stand out were the buffalo wings. As an American I can be fairly particular about my wings and I would put these up against most that I've had at home. Really, the only concern that I had was that about a half hour into dinner a group of rowdy girls were seated next to us. They were obviously out for a night on the town and I don't know that I would have sat them next to a family with small children... But again, I'm not sure that it could've been avoided. Overall one of the best dining experiences we had while in Northern Ireland and I would highly recommend it to anybody. As we visit often we will definitely be back!

It's pretty hidden in the alley and not going to lie...coming to a new city, let alone a new country by myself was a bit intimidating, but I found it just in time for my reservation. I absolutely loved my first Michelin Star restaurant experience. I was born in Belfast, and have never been back since I was born, so I enjoyed every opportunity to tell a server. The staff was so friendly and described every dish. I ordered the Seasonal Tasting MenuEach dish was excellent. My favorite was probably the duck and the savory mousse pastries. Food in order of serving: 1. Sourdough Guinness bread with vanilla butter and olive oil 2. Olive sponge crab and apple, chicken and caramel with some type of mousse 3. Scallops, cucumber frothy brown butter 4. Bluefin tuna tartare with avocado and heirloom tomato 5. Halibut with crispy chicken skin 6. Duck 7. Sorbet and then....my phone died before I could write down the other yummy dishes I ate! The ambience was dark, romantic, and vibey. A little mysterious because of the hidden aspect, but overall I loved my whole experience here.

My weekday dinner at Muddler's Club seemed a bit directionless…read more The food is excellent, taste, flavor combinations and présentation. That is not the concern. The space itself has a very long and interesting history, just over 40 seats have been cramped into that space. A couple tables have small glass walls to separate them and squeeze in more diners. And it's pretty loud. So loud, I can barely hear the sommelier describe her wines. There may have been music playing... but who can hear? There seems to be an attempt to elevate the bartender over the sommelier, with the menu encouraging the guests to try specialty cocktails instead of selecting whole bottles of wine. And the bartender's constant ice shaker only adds to the noise. The service is very relaxed, with servers in t-shirts and jeans, sneakers, paper napkins. And the servers seemed a bit inattentive, watching the chefs through the pass, not paying attention to guests' needs. Oh, and the server even wrote "thank you" on the printed bill... How kind. Excellent Flair. Pure Chotchkie's. For the food, I'll return. 2025 04 16. M1. 235.

If not, ask your server for a gentler option... the kitchen doesn't hold back!!!** We had a fantastic dinner at The Exchange. The starters; Mediterranean olives, bruschetta, and garlic breads, were fresh and flavorful. For mains, the Exchange Burger and chilli fillet steak in pitta bread brought serious heat. Desserts were indulgent: the double chocolate brownie was rich and satisfying, and the sticky toffee pudding had a perfect melt-in-your-mouth finish. Heads-up: The place gets lively and a bit loud in the evenings, so if you're after a quiet meal, consider dining earlier. Otherwise, it's a vibrant spot with bold flavors and great service.

Only the climate and setting were better in dismal Disney. This place was buzzing on a Monday night - just as busy as the Boathouse was on a Saturday night - oh enough about bloody awful money - grabbing Disney. I had a fillet steak with tobacco onions, champ & pepper sauce (£15.75). I asked for the steak medium cooked but it was nearer to rare and that didn't bother me a jot. The flavour of the steak was wonderful. The champ could have been warmer, the tobacco onions were just perfection and the pepper sauce moreish. My wife opted for chicken fajitas (£12.75) - the portion was generous and she said the all important 'smokey' sauce was delicious. There were three flour tortillas together with mini pots of guacamole and sour cream. The mashed guacamole was slightly underripe, which we prefer, the only suggestion here is when using underripe avocado add a very generous amount of fresh lime juice. I had a good cappuccino (£2.5) and my wife a generous glass of Sauvignon blanc (£6.15). The home-made desserts really looked inviting, but I'm afraid whilst the spirit was more than willing the flesh simply couldn't cope. In short bloody good place.
