A great place for a chill glass of wine or Guinness while watching sports. I was told by one of the British Open parking attendants to come here to get a drink. I walked up the hill and there it was. Lot of people standing outside on the patio but no seats. I went in to the small bar on the lower level and a very friendly male bartender waited on me. I wandered upstairs to the second level where it was a huge space and had plenty of big screen TVs for the golf. I found the place to be very comfortable and great views of the water. The young guy at the second level bar was nice but a bit of an airhead (the drink was £11 and I handed him £20, he stood waiting for more money and ummmmmmm didn't I give you a 20? He seemed clueless about the money) We had a laugh but prob a good idea to know what the local money looks like! The top level of this place was an amazing view but it was Sunday afternoon and the bar was not open. Has more of a night feel. It's a fantastic building and I enjoyed my visit.

Fantastic bar. Golf fan? This is the place for you. The entire bar is a shrine to the greatest Irish golfers. Great fun with live music the night we visited.

A great little bistro, try to make a reservation or get there as close to 5 as possible. We went both nights we stayed in Portrush. Items ordered: Kings fish pie Fish and chips Pear and blue cheese salad Creamed spinach Steak Seafood thermador Seasonal grilled breads Champ Mash We had zero complaints and took 8 desserts to go, all of which were fantastic, our favorite being the bannoffee cake. Serving sizes were great and food quality was exceptional.

Harbour Bar and Bistro has provided our favorite food while exploring Ireland and Northern Ireland. The service was amazing and we couldn't get over how tasty the food was. We would 100% come back.

Good food in a lively space. Food was good. The ribeye was on the thin side so it was slightly over cooked. The battered cod was very good. The star of the meal was the Banofee Pie! Wow! The desserts are made in-house for all of the Ramore restaurants and really should be missed.

Perfect end to our day. Great little bistro with great food and great portions. (Maybe too much for my girl!) Although they were out of the rib eye, they replaced it with a T-bone. It was a solid steak. Crispy onions on top and a great creamy peppercorn sauce along side. My favorite was the creamed spinach! Get it! My girl had the sea bass with garlic butter and it too was great. Service was nice and the food came out so fast! (We weren't ready for it) Really enjoyed this place!

Another jewel in the Ramore crown, the Harbour Bar is the biggest venue in this little group as it extends over two floors. Downstairs is the bistro which continues the Ramore tradition of superb food and upstairs is the bar, which is open every night and has music and live bands at the weekend. I love the bar for a pre dinner drink, but find it too busy and noisy later on unless I'm out for a big night out. Oh, I almost forgot the snug bar at the front of the bistro which is a tourist attraction in itself. It's a really traditional Irish bar, all original tiled floors and wooden stools with an open fire, even in the summer! The bar consists of lots of jam packed little wooden shelves which still manage to stock every drink you can think of. On a sunny day you can take your drink out to the benches outside and people watch beside the harbour. The food in the bistro is fabulous - lots of chicken, grilled meats and fish, all in fabulous sauces like soy and ginger cream and chorizo and red pepper cream which I would recommend with the grilled fillet of salmon and a side order of garlic and sour cream fries. More traditional eaters will enjoy the rump steak burgers complete with gherkins and tom sauce. For the fab quality of the food, prices are really good, with the steak being the most expensive at a not too scary £14. Side orders are extra at £3. Portions are venomous, even by my standards. Puddings are in the traditional Ramore style of stunning piles of fruit, cream and chocolate and will finish you off completely. At least you can take a walk around the harbour after your meal to work off about a millionth of the calories!

The service is impeccable and the Seafood Thermidor was incredible. We wish we lived nearby so we can return again and again.

Nice place on the waterfront. Rather busy, but they let us enjoy our food and drinks at the bar. Both meat and fish were delicious.

It took the wait staff a little while to take our order, but once they did the food came out much faster than expected. Decent portion for the price, but be warned there is no dessert menu if that what you are after.

No pretension about it, just good properly made food by people who really care about what they do. The young lady serving us was mega friendly. We were four adults and three kids. Most of the adult meals were great value, pitched at about £8. I was the only steak sandwich order with the remaining adults having beef burgers with choices like bacon added. Oh, I had a delicious pint of Guinness too. This was one of the best steak meals I've had in the last few weeks and the others all agreed they enjoyed their meals too. The pepper sauce served with my steak was absolutely ace and I loved it. Top notch. I also went for a portion of onion rings as my wife had chosen garlic chips with her main so we could share. Once again, the tasty onion rings were ace too. Thick rounds of mild onion and a crisp batter. The steak was superb quality beef. I enjoyed the garlicky chips too. The kids had chicken nuggets and chips. All made from scratch in-house including the kids nuggets. That's the right way to do it. There was a moment of shock for me when I asked for Colman's mustard, which is the greatest mustard in the world and beef as good as this deserves Colman's, and I was told they didn't have it. As I was taking in the enormity of this shocking claim she re-appeared just moments later with a plastic pot of Colman's, so I shelved my plan to burgle a local supermarket and splurged a dollop on my plate. Another plus was when we ordered diet cokes we got the 330ml tins very well chilled. So many places now just pour from two litre bottles with no fizz left. One possible downside but not for us was that they don't sell desserts. We wouldn't hesitate to return.
