I went to see Dr. Ramirez because my BC/BS Pcp provider couldn't see me until Oct. 13 and I have warnings signs of lung cancer, 8 out of 8 signs. After I went through a long and difficult process of changing my provider with blue cross, I call dr.'s office and they told me I could come in at 8:45 am on sept. 13th. I did that, filled out my paperwork, gave them all,ID's, etc., and the receptionist gave me a square piece of paper with a number on it. They would call number out when it was my turn...it wasn't an appointment, but a scheduled walk in. I spent over 3 hours waiting to hear that number. I finally got up and told them never mind. Receptionist still did not know how much longer it was going to be, but that she would ask. I told her I could not wait any longer. While I had been waiting, several other walk ins came in and most of them were seen ahead of me...they were immigrants in for their required checkups. So if you're an immigrant that needs a physical, vaccines and a ghnorria exam, THIS is your place. If you need medical care outside of that, well, good luck getting an appointment. I never did see Dr. Ramirez and perhaps he's a fine physician, but I couldn't say. Oh, if you want to hear part of the staff discuss vaginal discharge, leakage, THIS is also the place to go to. read more
