The dr is fine although hard to say much as I see her only once a year when I am doing well for my yearly physical. When I am sick and actually need her, she is never available for same day appointments or next for that meeting. So I usually end up with nurse practitioner, which I like but just found out she left. The front desk staff is quiet useless and not helpful. Only thing I like about this office is that they have lab on site. read more

Awful dr. Awful staff. Changed appointment time a few hours before my scheduled time. I literally waited for 2 hours and NEVER saw the dr. I have an infant and there's a pandemic. It would have been maybe fine if they had at ANY point explained the dr was running late. Nope. Just silence in a tiny room, no apologies, no explanation. No communication at all. They said the Dr was dealing with an appointment that became an emergency (which could have been communicated before I decided to walk out) but the problem with THAT excuse is the verrry thin walls in this Drs office. I heard the Dr joking and laughing with the patient next door to me! Not a dr dealing with an emergency or behaving with any sense of urgency since she has a line of people waiting more than an hour late. Embarrassing experience. Shameful staff. I like Dr. Bescos but my issue is around timing and the respect for patients' time. Every time I go I have to wait 2+ hours to see her. I have started to take half days from work to be able to see her. On the first visit I thought it was due to an emergency and after the third time of having to wait more than 2.5 hours confirmed it's not an emergency issue. read more

I'm pretty sure this is the first time in my life that I've had blood work to specifically check for something, that wasn't checked. Not only was it not checked, I wasn't even called back with my blood work results, not until I called them a second time asking about it - damn near two weeks later... De Bescos is amazing but very unprofessional staff and wait time is ridiculous 1 1/2 hr wait for a 15-20 minute appointment. Need to schedule to be off work 1/2 day for an appointment this is very frustrating I say everytime this is my last time but after this visit I can't do it anymore love her but respect my time!! read more

I had to write a review after my visit with Dr. Bescos and her warmhearted staff. As soon as I walked through the doors I was greeted with a smile. The staff made my new patient experience a breeze. I felt as if they held my hand thru the entire process. The Nurses were very engaging and knowledgeable about my visit. Once I got to my exam Dr. Bescos Contagious smile greeted me and I felt at home. I recommend her clinic and services for anyone seeking a Primary care Physician. Dr. Bescos offers good customer service one on one and the office itself is clean and welcoming. Unfortunately, all of that does not make up for the fact that her team is extremely unprofessional. I have explained my experience here in great detail because I want anyone considering visiting the "Family Health and Wellness Center of North Texas" to be fully aware of what they may encounter. 1) I called the practice a few days before my scheduled appointment and asked what the process was for me to get a copy of my medical records (which every patient has a right to do by law). The woman who answered the phone said that there was a form I would need to fill out and a $30 charge. I asked her how long it would take to get my medical records to me, and she said usually 3-4 business days. I then asked if there was any way for her to email me the form so that I could go ahead and get the process started, she said yes. I then asked if she could please email me the form and she said, "Ok, I'll do my best to do that for you." You'll do your best? I'm sorry, are you too busy for your patients? Last I checked isn't that what the administrative team does at a medical practice? 2)When I came in for my next appointment less than one week later I asked the front desk team to give me the form I needed to fill out in order to get a copy of my medical records. A gentleman behind the counter then told me that he could EMAIL me my medical records same day. Why would the first woman flat out lie to me? 3) When I was called back for my appointment the nurse that walked me to the exam room was friendly enough. Once she closed the door a member of her team YELLED through the door, and asked her if she would appreciate it if they picked up some lunch for her on their way out, and she YELLED through the door, "YES!" What is the point of having a private exam room when you're going to YELL through the walls and the door? 4) That same day, I asked the front desk to change the address to the CVS they had on file for me because I realized there was more than one location off of Lemmon Ave. The woman who took my question didn't know how to change the address, and she looked at me and said , "and you can ask the CVS to transfer your prescription." You are not being helpful when you tell me to tell the CVS to transfer my prescription, because once a prescription is filled at one location it is automatically blocked from all other pharmacies until you pick up your medicine from the location where it was filled and then you must wait the designated number of days inbetween refills. So no, I can not just tell CVS to transfer my prescription. The entire point for taking down the address of your patient's pharmacy is to help make it more convenient for them to pick up their medicine, not to inconvenience them by making them drive across town when you ask them to change the address in your database. 5) After that appointment, I had scheduled a follow up appointment to receive some lab results and a physical. I didn't see the point in changing doctors before I got my results back, and hoped that the next visit would be better. I received a voicemail the day before my appointment informing me that Dr. Bescos had to cancel our appointment because "she has a meeting she needs to go to". When was the last time you had a doctor canceled ON YOU? 6) I called back to reschedule my appointment because I really wanted to get my lab results back. I am forwarded to an answering machine that says "We're sorry you've reached us during our lunch hour fromm 12-1PM. Please call back during our regular office hours..." It was 1:30PM when I called. I tried again at 2PM. Still no answer. I finally received a call back around 3PM and I asked the woman on the phone to please explain to me why I hadn't received an an answer earlier. Her reply, "Oh hehe, sorry about that." No explanation and no regret either. I have never been treated more poorly. And It saddens me all the more because Dr. Bescos has been my family's doctor for quite some time. I refuse to be treated like my health and my time are not valuable. I strongly recommend you go else where. read more

My fiancé has a health issue, and we were referred to Dr. Bescos.. Unfortunately we never scheduled an appointment, the receptionist put my fiancé on hold 2 times, and hung up on her twice. When she called back the receptionist got an attitude with her and was very unfriendly. Our problem needed to be solved ASAP, and this is not how you treat potential patients with serious health worries. Dr. Bescos has been all that I could of hoped for in a medical practitioner. She was my primary care physician for 18 years. Dr. Bescos always provided the absolute best care, advice and treatment during each visit. Despite having a busy practice, I was always able to schedule appointments quickly and receive calls back the same day to any questions. If you are looking for a doctor who is very knowledgeable, caring and accommodating with a top notch support staff, then Dr. Bescos is someone you should really consider visiting. I was always afraid that she would retire one day and I would have to find a new doctor, turns out it was me who had to relocate and end the relationship. I have no idea how Dr. Bescos is, because her office staff prevented me from ever seeing her. I made an appointment in June for July, because even to see the PA there is over a 3 week wait. I showed up for my appointment early, and was called up to the desk where I was informed I didn't have the wrong date - they had no record of my having made an appointment at all. Strike one. The real puzzler was the fact that when I went to reschedule, they somehow had all of my personal information even though the receptionist had just told me she had no record of me at all. I handed her my insurance card so that there would be no issues next time, she handed me an appointment card, and I left to return another 3 WEEKS LATER to see the PA as apparently Dr. Bescos is the world's busiest doctor. I informed her staff that I was out of a medication I need daily and they could not have cared less. Strike two and three. I should have known by this point that I was doomed, but then two days before my rescheduled appointment, her staff calls and asks me for my insurance information a THIRD time, threatening to cancel my appointment if I didn't provide ahead of time. Rest assured that I cancelled that appointment all on my own. Any office staff who cannot be trusted with a simple appointment or keeping items like contact information straight is not to be trusted with sensitive information like medical records. Dr. Bescos might be awesome, but I will never know. I HIGHLY recommend staying away from this place. read more

after visiting a few terrible doctors in the dallas area, i decided to give dr. bescos a try. i'm glad i did! she is the best doctor i was lucky enough to find. today, many doctors seem to rush in and out and not spending much time to genuinely know their patients. this is not the case at her office. every time i go in she remembers my symptoms from my previous visit. which reassures me she is paying attention and keeping track of my health. even when her office is full of patients, she stills walks in a timely manner and takes the time to answer all my questions thoroughly. plus, her staff are always good at keeping me on track with appointments and medications. she's got a good team! dr. bescos has always provided me with great service and personal care. i'm so happy to have found her. she is definitely unforgettable and i plan on making her my daughters family doctor when she's old enough. i highly recommend her! read more

Dr. Bescos is a wonderful physician and I really appreciate how she always takes the time to listen to me and thoroughly answer all my questions. I have never had any issues with her or her staff, so I'm honestly very confused by some of the negative reviews I have seen! I have referred to her friends and they all love her as well. Sometimes you do have to wait past your appointment time to see her, but I have never been to a doctor where that is not the case. It's just the nature of the beast. Medical assistant is rude and unprofessional. Insulted me for taking medication for a preexisting condition and once I complained was completely rude and almost hostile. The MA repeatedly addressed me as "Girl". Dr Bescos is not punctual and I spent almost an 1.5 hours total office time to be seen for a sinus infection. While waiting for of 40 minutes, I could hear the the doctor talking to another patient in a different exam room about architecture, SMU and other non topics. She needs to respect the fact that her patients have jobs and schedules and ultimately we are paying for a service....not to sit and wait over 40 minutes in an exam room without an apology. read more

I love Dr Bescos! But the other reviews are very accurate. The staff in the front is very very very cold and rude. Once you get past them you are treated warmly and like someone cares. Dr Bescos would do better to get some people in the front that at least appeared to care while they were at work. There is no reason not be greeted at the very minimum. Actually every time I have been in there, the front desk staff has ignored me and asked for personal information from across the room. They don't even address you by name. But again Dr. Bescos and her PA are both amazing! IF you can allow yourself to look past the rude inconsiderate and disrespectful people at the front and know that when you walk through the door to the back you will be getting the best care there is. That is how I look at it. I am there for the Dr Bescos' knowledge and consideration. If I was there for to see the people at the front desk, then yes, I would be changing offices. Please don't overlook a great Dr just because her office manager hires thoughtless and cold people to man the front desk. Dr Bescos is a five star doctor, her front desk staff deserves no stars. I have never had an issue with getting an appointment with her PA even same day. Yes, Dr Bescos it takes time but the PA is always available, warm, knowledgeable. But every other review about her admin staff is spot on. Please don't judge Dr. Bescos, she doesn't hire those rude, cold people. Dr Bescos is an excellent doctor. She is a rare find and she always takes her time with you in every appointment. She does not rush through your visit. With that said, there is often a long wait before your appointment. She doesn't overbook, but she does take time to meet with each patient. Getting a morning apointment will help the wait time if that is an issue. This is a great doctor and I would recomend her to anyone! read more
