Outstanding authentic Japanese food with a great presentation. Our party of 12 received everything in a timely fashion, the food was hot, prepared well and tasted fabulous. We really enjoyed the location and comfortable eating experience. The wait staff was excellent and very prompt. The manager check in with us when we sat down and came back after the food was prepared to ensure everything was to our expectations. Best ramen we've had in Arkansas so far. My husband is picky about his ramen and he loved it. It's in kind of a weird location (hidden behind a Walmart pickup building and no other restaurants or shops around it), but the space itself is really nice inside and, again, the ramen is top notch. read more

I've eaten here twice and will again Eben though it is a 40 minute drive. Closest thing to the ramen I remember from my time in Japan. Everything is made from scratch and the owners went to Japan to train under a ramen chef. Highly recommend. read more

I had the spicy edamame as an appetizer and the pork belly with chicken and pork broth ramen noodle bowl for lunch. The spicy edamame was delish!! Just the right amount of spice! The noodle bowl was ok. I think it was way overpriced at $12! Plus the pork belly I got was 3 tiny pieces of pork (each piece was about the size of 1/3 of a dollar bill) which were at least half fat! Miso Tonkotsu Ramen Usually have another ramen spot but looked and ratings were low so I looked and found this one. There's no spicy ramen on the menu but one you get there there's a "sauce" on the table and they tell you to make it spicier. It does the trick but I rather have someone add the spice that knows about it. The place was packed which seemed like a good sign. The table was already furnished with chopsticks and a spoon for the broth it was hard for me to eat with the sticks. The waiting staff kept looking my way to giggle which made it very uncomfortable which was sad cause I took my kids with me so I was embarrassed . The ramen was ok not great, not really hot (as in temperature) as I like it. We then ordered dessert my daughter got the green tea ice cream which was good; my son and I got the mango ice cream. It came in a covering that was hard to eat and maybe because it was eaten right after ramen I assume, it had a weird after taste. Regardless I went back the next day for lunch cause the rest of the family was curious and they said they liked it ok. They usually have another ramen spot that gives them bigger portions mine was fine couldn't finish both times. My family asked for forks right away. It's great to see a ramen concept come to the NWA area. With the soft opening, I gathered that the restaurant still has some things to work out. I was hoping for a rich and savory broth along with a much spicier miso option. The ramen overall tasted very bland and I added the chili oil plus some spice they brought out. Even though the noodles are home made, they could've been a bit thicker. I would also love to see some bamboo sticks in the ramen. Overall, I wasn't getting the $12 value from the bowl. I hope to see Ramen Nara improve as it opens its doors permanently. Bring on some spicy miso! read more

I've been here twice for lunch so I really can't speak for dinner. The people there are very helpful and friendly so I really hate to write a negative review. I am really not a fan of their food or their price. I didn't even like the edamame. I had the chicken ramen and then the vegetarian ramen. They are the same thing apparently, you just add chicken, which was disappointing. The chicken was rubbery. We got the fried chicken starter thing and it was slimy and leathery. My wife and I couldn't finish them. None of it tasted freshly made, rather like it was reheated and overcooked. The tofu had a texture like a shoe and was near frozen inside. The staff is so lovely though because they offered to get us new tofu but I really didn't trust that the replacement would be any better. There are other options in town that are more reasonably priced and far better. read more

New place. Employees are still all over the place. Not very organized. Can see the whole kitchen, not sure if that was the concept. The modern look inside is cute. The menu was very small. We thought that since they had very similar items in it that different ramen soup base was gonna be the game changer but there wasn't a difference really. Taste was bland. Too expensive for the portion that was given. I pay less than $12 in the midwest and west coast and get great flavors and portion. Maybe give it time to improve? Idk. I was so excited to have a Ramen place here in nw arkansas. But it was a dissapointment. I ordered the Hakata, the broth was very bland and the noodles was just ok. And for $12 for a small portion, it was expensive. I also ordered takoyaki but was not satisfied too. The service is not good too, but L'll give them the benefit of just opening up. I hope they impove the taste later as we came as a group and no one wants to came back. Ill probably check again later and eat again. I like Ramen so Ill give them a second chance. read more

Visited this place 2nd time with spouse and both ramen dishes broth were super bland and noodles are not fresh but chewy. Service is underwhelming. Fix your broth no depth.
