We each tried the spicy chicken sandwich, which had only a mild kick, and shared a side of seasoned fries. The boneless breast in the sandwich was big, fresh, and juicy, and it was complemented by LTO served on a brioche bun. The fries were excellent as well. We've been to at least 30 weddings collectively and the food at ours was top two. We did a salad course, pasta, 5 varieties of pies, two wood fired veggie variations and the cast iron cookies. MPT also handled cocktail hour--arrancini, chicken tenders and chicken meat balls, plus charcuterie and crudite. Everything was so delicious and impressive, our guests still talk about it. We had an upscale backyard wedding, and the guys accommodated our request to do family style service. The execution was completely seamless and the presentation was even more intentional than we expected. The food was hot, delicious, perfectly timed and well portioned. I honestly do not have a single bad thing to say. We have been thinking of other events we can host just so we can use Mobile Pie Truck again. Frank was very easy to work with, communicative and professional. They accommodated requests for additional items like pastas and salads we were interested in that weren't on the menu. They helped curate our courses and offered suggestions on what would and wouldn't work for menu options at scale. They were friendly and clean and they had a really impressive setup. We found their pricing to be the most reasonable of all the vendors we looked into, and the execution was truly seamless. Wedding food even at the more dialed in venues can be so boring, forgettable and most of all expensive. Mobile Pie Truck was the antidote to all the typical wedding catering pitfalls and then some. I had their vanilla soft serve with rainbow sprinkles in a cup, Hawaiian shaved ice with blue raspberry flavoring, and a Strawberry Shortcake Bar. It was great for a hot day like today. The soft serve was creamy. The ice in the Hawaiian shaved ice could have been finer and thinner shaved, it felt more like a snow cone that use crushed ice. It wasn't powdery and snow-like. The Strawberry Shortcake Bar brought me back to my childhood. The staff at Jimmy's Soft Serve were both wonderful and friendly.
