Lauter Haus Brewing is a dog friendly 21+ only brewery in Farmington New Mexico. We decided to pay them a visit and try out the wares, as we always do when exploring a new town. We arrived and were greeted by the friendly bar tender in a well air conditioned building. Great music was playing and the televisions were playing all types of shows. There is a pinball arcade and a corn hole pit, along with a stage and comfortable seating. There is no food, but fresh popcorn and bar mix on self service bar near the seating area. The staff we met were friendly and one even gave a treat to our puppy! There are dog water bowls near the cooler for the pup. This brewery is clean and comfortable. There is a large selection of craft beers from this brewery and some vodka and gin drinks available. This is a plus for my wife, since she does not like beer. We liked this place so much, we came back twice during our stay in Farmington. I love 21+ breweries that are dog friendly. A great place for adults and their furry friends to hang out. I totally recommend this place if you like beer, a break from the summer heat, even if you do not have a fur baby. If you are in Farmington, this place is worth a try.

Even though the town was covered in a new snow, Dustin made the Cidery warm and inviting. He took us through a tour of all 10 ciders and gave us the history of Fenceline. We have tasted most every cider in the Grand Valley and none were as delicious as any of the Fenceline ciders. Dustin not only gave us a tour of the ciders but talked with us about the Mancos area and introduced us to the power house women who get together there every Monday night! To her credit, our kind waitress had the kitchen quickly make me a new one, but honestly it was still borderline inedible. This time, due to the salt. Not only was the meat heavily salted, but the breading was overly salted as well. I couldn't even taste the meat or the breading (or even the potatoes) because it wasn't a giant plate of salt. I ate all the broccolini, a few bites of potatoes, and a few bites of steak. I hate that all restaurants, because of patrons and their salt-conditioned palates, serve the most sodium-laden monstrosities possible. I didn't feel good eating it, I didn't want to eat more than a few bites, and I left the restaurant full of regret for the bites I did take. On the plus side, the beer is exceptionally tasty, and my kids both enjoyed their meals. We are leaving tomorrow and so we won't be back, but I wouldn't be back otherwise as well.

It is the perfect stop on our way into Durango. All the beer we had was delicious (which is very hard to come by these days), and they even had a black IPA, my favorite style.
