Three Rivers Brewstillery - Ruban with green chile scalloped potatoes! - Distilleries Near Me - Farmington, New Mexico

Just stopped in for a couple cold beverages in the middle of a very hot 484 mile motorcycle ride from Apache Junction AZ to Ignacio CO.

The on-site distillery is mine blowing. From the epic interior with restored footlockers and vintage distillery equipment to the ultra cool car collection, this place is a must see. However the most rewarding aspect of the experience was our server, BJ who knew exactly how to smoke a straight up whiskey to perfection. Thanks so much for the experience BJ we will be back! read more

Wow, what a find, and what a gem, for the great metropolis that is Farmington, New Mexico. I know I get snarky and attempt a sense of humor in most reviews, but I'm going straight on this one. Three Rivers Brewstillery is an absolutely solid spot to grab a drink. My first impression was the welcoming vibe of the venue, it felt used, worn, refurbished, maybe, the tables carefully crafted, a space that was built to last. And then the cocktails arrived, aggressive, interesting, even eyebrow-raising, something I definitely didn't anticipate. There's a lot happening around here, including a distilling operation that's working on a reposado tequila. Unusual for a (sorry) small northern New Mexican town? Absolutely. No food options from what I could gather, but plenty on the same main street, and as anticipated, Friday night's Last Call was... 10pm. Because, y'know, it's still a small town. read more

Dinner and beers for 10 tonight. As others have mentioned, very confusing with 3 places next to each other. We ended up here because it was much quieter and less crowded than the other two. Good call. They have about a half dozen beers on tap, just a few from the brew house. I had the Hoff which is an Export or Dortmund style, pretty good. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I had the panini which had real chunks of Turkey on it, not slices of deli meat. Nice surprise. The presentation of the meals was great. The wait staff did a great job, especially considering we all had separate checks, which they handled without grumbling, and made no mistakes on our bills. This place exceeded our expectations. We'll be back next year!! read more

We tested their home made vodka and home made ginger beer, moscow mule for Pablo and vodka martini for me. BJ expertly made both drinks, taking his time to deliver something perfect. We had another round and congratulated the Bewstillery for a job well done. They also make a small batch Campari but not enough for you to buy and take home for your Campari loving friends. read more

The Brewstillery is located between the Three Rivers Tap Room and Three Rivers Pizzeria. It's the newest of the Three Rivers establishments and a lot of care has been invested into this locale. My wife and I visited today because we wanted to explore this new eatery and craft cocktail lounge ("new" for us). It was a better experience than I could have anticipated, and I was very excited to visit. We wondered in a little after lunch today (Saturday) and were the only patrons in the establishment. After saddling up to the bar, the bartender handed us a few menus and gave us a minute to examine the offerings before striking up a conversation and sharing about the history of the Brewstillery. He was knowledgeable and warm. I ordered the "Kickin up Dust" cocktail to drink and the panini while my wife ordered a house made root beer and a slice of pizza. The bartender accommodated my wife's order which required food and drink from the next door (Three Rivers) pizzeria's kitchen (points scored). The drinks came out first, and we took the opportunity to walk around the empty space. Highlights included decorative stills, repurposed wood benches, oak barrels, a huge collection of model cars (500+), and vintage bottles and other distillery marketing items. Did I mention the root beer was amazing and my cocktail was one of the best I've ever had (and only $10). The food came out a few minutes later after we had returned to our seats. My panini was just about perfect and came with extremely thinly sliced fries. In retrospect, I should have eaten the fries with a fork, but they were really great nonetheless. Also, my wife really liked her pizza. We were both members of the clean plate club. As we were finishing up, I asked the bartender about the house distilled spirits. All the craft cocktails are made with the various spirits and each is available for purchase on-site ($35 for agave spirit and $20-$30 for everything else). I had one of the best restaurant experiences I've ever had. From the service, to the atmosphere, to the food, to the drinks, it was top notch. I'm looking forward to visiting Farmington in the future so I can go back to the Brewstillery. Next time I'm here, I'll definitely call ahead to ensure the owner/manager is available to provide a tour (the bartender indicated this informal tour was the current offering, unfortunately). read more

Can I move this brewstillery to Houston? I think this may be my favorite bar ever. The brewstillery is located between the pizzeria and the tap room, and is my favorite of the three spaces. It has the nice jazz music, trippy classic cartoons, strong and delicious drinks (some made with their distilled liquor), and a good looking charcuterie menu. All their furniture is made out of repurposed material, and water is served in a cute growler. There are funny pictures all around making fun of the Prohibition era, and they advertise themselves as a "social club." Need I go on? This place would put any bar in a large city to shame. It's cool and hipster, without the hipster crowd. read more

So, I'm a born and raised Düsseldorfer girl and have been living in the US of A for 17 years now. Altbier is not a Type of Beer easily found in North America. On our roadtrip from Seattle to Florida we stopped at Farmington for the night... not a place where u would expect to find anything fancier than Coors light or Budweiser... but booooy was I wrong!!! This place!! The food! THE BEER!! Düsseldorf has a large Asian population and makes Altbier. And if a place can whip up both for me - fuck me sideways - I cannot say anything but praise I had to travel across the entire country to find a place that can fulfill any need this German princess has. And ask my husband, I'm not easy to please ‍ read more

It was my first time to this establishment this week. The space is awesome - modern décor with a nice clean, new feel and overall a very pleasant ambiance. I was there on a Monday at around 6:00pm and it was very slow, but even though there were two bartenders, it took us a while to get some food ordered because none of the staff would make eye contact with us, even though we were seated at the bar. The drinks were okay, but not outstanding, and they took too long to come out. I know they're "craft cocktails, but it still took too long, especially considering how slow it was. The food was pretty good: had the wings and a pizza roll, which were really good, and the sliders, which were okay. If they up their service game, they'd be great. read more

Service has really gone down hill. Seems you have to be a friend to get someone to wait on you . We came in and ordered waited over an hour for the food. Obvious friends of one of work staffer came in about 45 minutes into our wait. They got their order when we got ours . They had wait staff's constantly at their call. We begged for service. As did others. read more

Great spot, tasty masterfully crafted beverages. Love this place! I don't get there often enough, but it's a 4Corners beacon of awesomeness.

Ok Brewstillery... I'm finally writing your review! Andddd I will say it's influenced by my bad experience at the 3 rivers tap room WHICH I KNOW is separate... kinda. BUT, know that I haven't been to any of the 3 rivers establishments since that time 4 years ago so coming into the brewstillery was a big step for me blah blah blah ANYWAY I would say overall this place is pretty decent. It's not amazing, but it's not terrible AND I am willing to come back to give chances to see if it grows on me and I will review accordingly. Pros! It's a hip-ish bar space in Farmington that is nice while still being low-key. They have a nice ambiance and plenty of seating including an outside patio for those who enjoy the outdoors and/or want to smoke. Also! They have some decent food options. I like that their charcuterie boards have local meats and cheeses. Great job! The beers and cocktails are also pretty decent. Most importantly the staff is all very nice and attentive! Cons. It's 3 rivers... ayyyeeee. Jkjk. But also they didn't even serve any of the 3 river beers last time I was there! Sooo I'll just leave that there. They have ramen, which is cool that they're trying, but also it's not great. Maybe I'm a ramen elitist? I just feel like I can make better ramen at home. Regardless, the Brewstillery is a chill place to get a drink and snacks with friends. Avoid the ramen and get a charcuterie board. read more

Very chill place with good vibes & atmosphere. Their Zia Gold Lager is really good. Customer service, not so much. Was there on a Monday for business trip, so it was not busy. Took a while for 1st beer, literally had to flag them down for 2nd beer. Asked for a mini growler, they're out, come back in a week They DO have patio seating. Has immense potential if customer service gets better. Can't imagine how long the wait would be on a busy night. read more

If you want to experience a truly unique bar then the Three Rivers Brewstillery Lounge is one of my favorite spots. It has a very relaxed atmosphere, amazing locally distilled spirits, and delicious cuisine. If you are in the mood for delicious pizza you can order that from their pizzeria (try their deep-dish pie or if you're going keto they have pizza for that too) next door or try their house ramen (not your typical dorm room ramen here). For a real treat, their beef sliders are a personal favorite. They also have many guest beers available. Their mixologists are masters at coming up with new and delicious drinks for their Glady's Gin (named after the resident ghost), River Whiskey, Entropy Vodka, Tierra Encanta (tequila), and Black Strap Rum. I have yet to try a drink I didn't enjoy. For those of you who are not into the hard stuff, they make some amazing mocktails that will knock your socks off! Their staff is super friendly and the drinks and food are amazing! read more

Everything I've had here is always up to standards and tastes great! They've added a keto menu which I'm a huge fan of. The keto Caesar salad tastes great and even better with red onions instead of the green onions. I did try the keto brownie which was extremely salty, probably just a slip. Other than that the Albuquerque turkey, chicken strips and burgers are great. read more

Bartenders are burned out and spend more time drinking their own drinks and shooting the shit than serving customers.

We visited the brewery early Sunday night, 6/25 I think. We asked the hostess if they had a patio because the evening was perfect for outside dining. She said no but down the street the distillery has a patio, tapas, and a great bartender making very creative cocktails. She was so positive and helpful, we said why not? Jewel was the bartender and we'd go back just because of her! She obviously loves her job. Now we don't know anything about cocktails, but on a hot evening she had made a frozen kiwi, raspberry something or other, that was beautiful, refreshing and delicious. Later, my wife asked if they had any sangria....answer...no, but I can put together some wine, peach schnapps, x, y, z...anyway, suffice it to say, Jewels ad hoc concoction was one of the best sangrias we've ever had. The tapas were unexpectedly very good. We had the charcuterie board and some duck crostini ...both excellently prepared. The chef came out to deliver the tiramisu for dessert. All excellent. We were the first out on the small patio. While we were eating, the long community table filled up with a bunch of folks enjoying drinks and cigars. Even with the crowd, Jewel never forgot us and we were well taken care of. Keep up the good work! Do what you need to do to hang on to Jewel. Keep that chef happy. Thanks for a great evening. read more

We walked in and felt like we were at home. Craft drinks, a distillery, wonderfully and thoughtfully prepared food. The pizza was awesome, and I had the shrimp pasta special... yummy! Only real brew pub in Farmington but they are great. Nice selection. We most of what they make and all was good. We went for the beer. As we try to get a sample of the local craft wherever we go. But the food was great too. Just happened in on half price burger night got the patty melt- fabulous! Hubby opted for chicken fried steak w/ green chili & it was another hit. Oh did I mention we went back the next night? The rueben and the drunken steak done excellently. And service is superb. read more

The service here is consistently poor. A drink and bowl of ramen soup with friends turned into a near three-hour endeavor. The waitress was inattentive to our needs for drinks, water, napkins.
