I called the Vinings School of Art, and the owner Cara or maybe it's spelled Kara, was very thorough and got my party booked right away! She insisted that I come by and view the space and decide which sculpture we wanted to do. The place is super cute, very colorful and festive, so minimum decorations are needed. Her and her assistant had the rooms spotless and ready to go way before it was time for the party to start. The kids had a blast! They created 3D rocket ships with two revolving planets! Cara/Kara was even nice enough to clean everything up after the younger babies who couldn't paint had made a mess of the toy area! My kids usually go for multiple sessions over the summer along with other camps and this is always their favorite. At the end of the day, you can count on them getting into the car happy, filthy and exhausted. It's not fancy, and it's not overly structured, and it doesn't focus on a specific topic or type of activity. They get to pick their activities each day, so no two days are ever alike. Activities range from archery to playing in the woods to crafts to making cool snacks. It reminds me of what summer camps were like when I was a kid. And in my opinion it's exactly the kind of things kids should be doing in the summer. After nine months of school, they need to have some relaxing, outdoor-focused fun. It's no accident that the majority of the counselors, junior counselors and helpers at Frog Hollow were campers when they were young. Once they've experienced it, they never want to leave!

This review is for TOCA which operates inside D-Bat…read more Our family has had a mixed experience at TOCA Marietta. When we first joined, sessions started right on the hour and ran smoothly. Over time, though, the start times have drifted -- sometimes beginning 10-15 minutes late and wrapping up early before the next session. It's frustrating not knowing when the actual instruction time begins or ends. Another issue is the inconsistency with the coaching. The coaches seem to rotate frequently, and there doesn't appear to be a clear, consistent curriculum from week to week. Some coaches focus more on warm-ups and running than on skill development, while others (like Odell and Ronaldo) do an excellent job teaching technique and engaging the kids. Unfortunately, we haven't seen them in a while, and switching days hasn't helped us find them again. We've also noticed that while the club doesn't require cleats or shin guards, several kids wear them, which gives them an advantage during drills and scrimmages. It would be helpful if TOCA clarified equipment expectations so all players can participate on an even playing field. Overall, TOCA Marietta has potential -- especially when led by strong coaches -- but the inconsistency in scheduling, coaching style, and structure has made our experience uneven. With more stability and clearer communication, this could be a great program.

I had an unbelievably hostile and unprofessional experience at Center Ice Arena during what was…read moresupposed to be a fun, recreational Adult Learn to Skate class. My friend and I registered to take Adult 3 together. My friend already knows how to skate and was completely willing to be evaluated. Learn to Skate USA's published Adult curriculum specifically states: "Based on prior skating experience, adults may choose to begin at the level that best matches their skill base." When Michelle McIntosh 'Jackie' refused to allow my friend to participate, I pulled up the published policy on my phone and showed it to her. Rather than simply reviewing the policy or evaluating my friend's skating ability, Jackie became increasingly argumentative and hostile and told me, "Wow, you just want to get your way." When I tried to de-escalate the situation and pointed out that this was a recreational adult skating class and really was not that serious, Jackie responded, "It is that serious," and continued making my friend feel extremely uncomfortable. Again, my friend was standing there perfectly willing to be evaluated. During the interaction, Jackie also inexplicably asked me, "Is that your wife?" referring to my friend. The question had absolutely nothing to do with the issue being discussed and, given her demeanor and the context in which it was said, came across as another unnecessary personal remark. Her behavior became hostile enough that I no longer felt comfortable or safe remaining at the facility. Jackie then took my skating card and told me she would refund the $228 I had paid. While we were waiting, I said to my friend, "Wow, what a waste," referring to the time and gas we had wasted driving there. Jackie overheard me, became angry again, and announced that she had changed her mind and would no longer refund me. So at that point, Center Ice had my $228, Jackie had taken my skating card, the class had begun without me, and she was refusing the refund she had just offered because she overheard me express frustration to my friend. I ultimately had to dispute the charge with American Express. Jackie expressly identified herself to me as an owner of Center Ice Arena, which makes the behavior even more concerning. I have since filed a formal complaint with Learn to Skate USA regarding Center Ice's administration of its Adult program and the interaction. There were countless reasonable ways to handle placement in a beginner-level recreational adult skating class. Becoming hostile toward two paying customers was not one of them. Extremely disappointing experience. Very unprofessional.

I read everything on the website regarding pricing before sending an email. Paul was amazing at responding to my emails. Very professional, helpful and fast! We left a deposit and that was it. We were booked Lol We confirmed the guest counts days before the party and we were set. Nonetheless, the big day came and the performers were so helpful with set up and clean up. They didn't know what they were doing with the decor - some things were damaged - but they were very helpful and kind. It was all honest mistakes. And they were apologetic. The performers and Paul kept the kids busy the entire time we were there. They were patient, attentive and organized with all of the different ages we had there(2-10). We paid for a lot but it was worth it. We opted for face painting, balloon twisting, unicorn character rental, extra performer(we had a fire breather, stilt walker & juggler), the balloon drop(which was "wow" for the kids AND the parents) and additional kids to attend. There was a large projector on the back wall playing kids bop music videos. We did the circus party. We opted for this because there was a zip line, trapeze, high swing and aerial silks from the ceiling. It was definitely a lot to cram into 2 hours-- but it was so worth it. Paul and his team did an amazing job. I'll post some professional photos so you can see the space was HUGE. We had 19kids and 25adults, it was awesome. We received so many compliments on the CLEANLINESS of the facility and PROFESSIONALISM of Paul. I can not give enough praise for Buck's Sport Barn. That was definitely a 5th birthday party to remember. With the tip we left behind haha! There is a summer camp they advertised as well. We'll definitely look into that this year. Her lack of specifics is highly suspect and perhaps the work of a competitor. Amber E is probably trying to reduce the ratings of a good small business that provides a great computer coding program for the kids. I stand by everything I have said in my review of stremhq. I am in no way even related to the owner of stremhq. I just know we had a great experience with the programs at stremhq vs the other computer coding programs we have attended this summer.
