Through my work at FirstBank and as a network engineer at Dixon Hughes PLLC, I have seen firsthand the day to day needs and demands on technology and the importance of keeping systems up and running at all times. I brought my Dell laptop to 1010Computers because it would not power on. After the repair, the…read morelaptop worked, but I later discovered it was running on a 128GB SSSTC SSD--a very small, low-end drive I never authorized or discussed with the shop. When I asked for clarification, the business stated they had diagnostic photos, hardware inventory screenshots, and a detailed report proving the SSD was already in the machine at the time of service. I requested copies multiple times. They did not provide a single photo, screenshot, or document. The customer portal they referenced contained only an invoice and the laptop's serial number. When I asked again for the documentation they claimed existed, the shop refused to send it and insisted they would no longer communicate in writing. They stated that any further discussion must take place only in person, which prevents any verifiable record. At no point did they provide the evidence needed to confirm their claims. My review is based entirely on written communication and the business's refusal to provide the diagnostic documentation they repeatedly referenced.

Jeremy at Geek Fast in Locust Grove was extremely helpful in describing the process and possibilities for the repair. The price was very fair and the turnaround was better than mailing the Galaxy S4 phone in for repair. At the time I was unsure if they were able to even repair these phones. I was pleasantly surprised at how up to date they were with the products and with the diagnostic pricing that rolled into the price of the repair. I called a few other places and their pricing was much higher than here for diagnostics. Thanks again for a small business with great service and pricing that can match or beat the larger chain competition. I would much rather take my business to someone that obviously appreciates it more than large corporations do! :)

I got my phone screen fixed a while ago and it was not a quality screen (although I paid almost…read more$200) as it started blacking out in spots less than a year later. I actually had an appointment and it still took them an hour and a half. What I have a bigger issue with is the fact that they asked for my passcode to fix my screen and then held my phone in the back for so long. I've been very uncomfortable with this and have not spoken to a manager about it because I wasn't sure if it was protocol until my husband took in his phone recently and they didn't ask for his passcode. If I don't get a response to this review I will be calling and speaking to the manager or owner about this.

I can't tell you how many times I've had anywhere from the simplest of questions to major problems and received a quick response and on site assistance if needed. I've been in the position of working with quite a few IT companies but none with such exceptional service as Ram-Tech. I am never told "sorry that's a software vendor issue, you need to contact them". They always intervene on our behalf, contact them if necessary and work the kinks out before they even happen.
