I'd really like to thank ROXANNE for her customer service and assistance in floral on August 8 honestly, I came in very short on time and last minute for my own bouquet for my courthouse wedding . I had to leave store 71 bc there was no assistance and was praying someone would be here ! luckily she was in was in such great spirits , saying "happy friday" like yess anyway i love ralphs bc of the fair low cost for flowers and in general ! thank you so much for your kindness, wishes and hug on my special day

Overall a nice supermarket the place is organized and pleasant for shopping usually clean and easy to get around the aisles are well arranged the staff is fine and the atmosphere is calm on the other hand some basic items are often missing and sometimes you need to finish your shopping elsewhere it does the job for everyday shopping but there is room for improvement in product variety and availability

Good Karma flax milk. Has protein, omega 3 and vitamin D, B12, A.

Thrilled to find Good Karma Flax milk at this Ralph's yesterday. I've been wanting to try this amazing milk that contains omega 3, protein and b12, vit D and vit A. The parking lot had plenty of spaces so I got in & out quickly. I did self check out but the staff is always nice here. I got a Starbucks drink in the store on my way out. My fav drink is the iced Americano. The barista was very sweet & genuine and I would definitely go to this Ralph's Starbucks again. The ambiance is pleasant at the store. They sell flowers and a large produce section.

She runs the balloon center at this Ralph's location and is so helpful! You should know that not all balloons are created equal. If you want nice helium filled ones, you're going to need good quality balloons. I got some from Daiso and the Dollar Store and they just didn't look like they were going to hold up. The price for helium balloons is the same whether you buy the balloon there at Ralph's or if you bring your own. So you might as well go with the quality assured balloons they sell at Ralph's. Each basic solid colored balloon was well under $2 and Tara ties it up nicely with ribbon and an anchor, and she will arrange them for you too if you want them in a nice bunch! The big shiny Mylar balloons come in a ton of shapes and sizes and they were about $13-15 including the balloon and helium, with string and anchor. These last a while too! Ralph's on Ventura Blvd in Woodland Hills is my go to for helium filled balloons! They're all over the store. They have tons of variety and Tara is the person who runs the balloon center there and she's helpful!

Before you choose your line, just look at the person and assess whether they have their wits about them or just go straight to self checkout. this location is super special because I always encounter an issue here. once I loaded my cart with groceries..I smelled something foul. i stuck my head deep into the cart and had determined that some homeless dude urinated on it..in it. I left the cart and walked out because it was so unsettling. speaking of the homeless, I've seen shoplifting here happen with impunity YET they will be sure to card a 40 year old for alcohol and charge you for a paperbag. I also remember going to a Ralph's in the AM and I could do my shopping unobstructed because they would stock before they opened, but in a genius attempt to inconvenience everyone and probably save money, they stock during business hours so you've got people in the aisles working and stocking right when they open. If sprouts sold everything i needed, I'd keep my business there but there is no good alternative for some basics

Exceptional Customer Service That Makes Bristol Farms Truly Special!!…read more I want to take a moment to recognize three outstanding individuals at Bristol Farms who consistently make shopping there such a wonderful experience: Randy and Sean in the Meat Department, and James, the Store Manager. Every Sunday, my daughter Valentina and I visit Bristol Farms for our Wagyu grass-fed ribeye steak, and Randy has made it such a special part of our weekly ritual. He knows exactly what we love and often has our steak waiting for us with our name on it! Even when he isn't there, he makes sure we have everything we need. That level of thoughtfulness, consistency, and genuine care is extraordinary. Randy is an absolute gem, and he has given Valentina and me something to look forward to every single week. I also want to recognize Sean in the Meat Department for his outstanding service. Having team members who are attentive, helpful, and genuinely committed to taking care of their customers makes all the difference. Randy and Sean are wonderful examples of the kind of personal attention that makes a shopping experience feel exceptional. And then there's James, the Store Manager, whose kindness and customer service are simply AMAZING! Last week, Bristol Farms had run out of their famous salted milk chocolate chip cookies, and my daughter was so disappointed. James went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure she left with a smile on her face. That small but meaningful gesture spoke volumes about his character and the way he leads. He didn't just see a customer who couldn't get what she wanted. He saw a little girl whose day he could make a little brighter, and he cared enough to do something about it. As a mother, those moments mean the world to me. They're the moments you remember, and they're the reason you keep coming back. Randy, Sean, and James represent the very best of customer service: warmth, thoughtfulness, genuine care, and a willingness to go the extra mile. They make us feel welcomed, remembered, and valued, and that is something truly special. Thank you for creating an experience that goes far beyond grocery shopping. Valentina and I genuinely look forward to our visits, and these wonderful individuals are a big part of why. Bristol Farms, you have something truly special in these three. Please recognize and appreciate them, because employees like Randy, Sean, and James are the reason customers become loyal for life. With heartfelt gratitude, thank you for taking such wonderful care of us!

The store offers a great selection of staples, along with higher end items such as a huge assortment of cheeses, great prepared foods, organic items, and an extensive juice bar. We love their fresh meats and seafood selection. When things are on sale, it can be a really great deal. The quality of the meat and seafood is top-notch. When I get fish there, I almost never have to remove bones from the filets. I can't say that from other stores. We get their coupons in the mail for weekly specials, which are great deals. And, if you are a senior, I believe 62 and older, you can get a 10% discount on EVERYTHING on Tuesdays! The thing that sets this Bristol Farms apart from other places is their customer service! My encounters with the folks working there have been so pleasant, and some favorites that I have to recognize are Ty at the meat counter, Marchant in seafood, and Angie in the bakery. My all-time favorite checker was Tania, but she recently left. The one time that I had an item that didn't meet the standards I expected from Bristol Farms, I sent direct feedback to their corporate offices via their website. The matter was addressed immediately by Danny and was above and beyond what I'd hoped for. And, can I just say, The Cookie?!?

However, it does not feel neighborly, and its customer service certainly does not feel premium. As someone who visited Japan this summer, I can also say that the level of customer service is nowhere near what I experienced there. I only shop at this location because it is literally within walking distance of my home. Every time I go there, I expect mediocrity, and unfortunately, that is exactly what I find. The products are often not fresh, possibly because they remain on the shelves too long due to their premium pricing, and likely because no one regularly checks the inventory for freshness. Some products also have packaging that is reduced in size from the bottom, so you end up buying less than you think. The staff is generally unhelpful, assuming you can even find someone to assist you. At most, when you ask where a product is located, an employee will tell you the aisle number. With additional prompting, they might point you in the direction of that aisle. This is in stark contrast to stores like Whole Foods and Trader Joe's, where employees will not simply tell you which aisle to look in. They will walk you to the shelf and make sure you find what you need. If the product is not there, they will often offer to check the back, and if it is out of stock, they may even offer to find out when it will be available again. After all, I come to the store to give them business. Why not help me do that, rather than making me feel ignored or like a bothersome customer who is taking time away from something apparently more important? I remember once standing in front of the manager's station, waiting for the manager to appear, while one of the cashiers simply stared at me without asking why I was there or offering any assistance, such as calling the manager. I have had many encounters at this location that I have simply chosen not to respond to or pay attention to. And I have observed the same behavior toward other customers. Employees seem to avoid offering assistance whenever possible. They see customers looking for help and pretend nothing is happening. Lines tend to get long, and managers are often unhelpful. Whenever you ask for assistance, it feels as though they are doing you a favor. Unfortunately, this is another example of the negative changes I have experienced at this location. I relocated to Calabasas, and before moving here, Gelson's in another area was one of my favorite grocery stores. I understood why it was considered premium. This Gelson's is not. Not in its service, not in its products, and certainly not in the attitude of many of the people working there. I usually feel quite unwelcome in this store. The only exceptions are the security guard, who consistently greets customers, smiles, and makes them feel welcome, and the staff at the bakery, who are always prompt and very helpful. However, I believe this bakery is operated independently from Gelson's itself. The employees range from indifferent and unhelpful to sometimes rude and defensive, and this extends all the way to management. I am not sure whether this is due to inadequate training or employees simply being unhappy working there. However, I have noticed that in any company, including retail stores, employees tend to behave according to how they are trained and managed. If there is no feedback or expectation of better service from management, this behavior will simply continue. I like Gelson's as a brand, and I think it is a great brand. But what is happening at our neighborhood location is not at all what Gelson's represents to me. A neighborhood store, especially one charging premium prices, should make its customers feel welcome and valued. Unfortunately, this one does neither.

Erewhon's advantage here is that they can get produce from small, local farms. Read the label, but outside of that, avoid the produce. Their tonic bar is ahead of the game.
